Doesn't Keep Its Shape in Container

I wanted to like this. Its everything I wanted. A lip baum that was a lipstick. It couldn't hold its shape in the container. It kept falling to the side and scraping it. The color really didn't come through on my lips. It wasn't as hydrating as I thought. I think I was expecting too much out of this. It should of just came in a pot, maybe then I would have liked it better.

I like this lipstick but its too soft... it fell out of the packaging on about second use and even though I placed it back, it kindda melted and disintegrated in there... like I cant use it from packaging, I can only use it with a brush or my finger... I thought I just got a bad one so I got another one in the same color, and pretty much the same thing happened.. its just too soft and unstable.. its a gorgeous color and emollient soft lipstick but it doesnt belong in a stick packaging..

Disappointed with my Sephora experience

I’ll never be without this

OBSESSED with this! Debating on purchasing because why is this $50? But bought it for myself after having our third baby a few weeks ago and felt like myself after putting it on and looking in the mirror. Beautiful formula, worth my money

I have 5 hydrobalms from Westman Atelier so far and I love them all. They are hydrating, moisturizing and glide on my lips so smoothly, without any tugging or rubbing. These are not opaque lipsticks, but tinted lipsticks. It gives a wash of colour that I can get to a point of opaque type of lipstick, if I apply it a few times. False advertising

Very disappointed in this product. It’s not sheer at all, it’s more of a regular lipstick. It’s very different from what all the ads show. Such a bummer esp since it’s so expensive.

Perfect purse lipstick- the kind where you get a sheer wash of color and don’t need a mirror. A must have if you want a natural ballet core look.

Shimmery Summer Balm

Fun summery topper that adds a light layer of hydration as well. Doesn't have a strong scent which I prefer, and lasts about how you would expect a tinted lipstick to. I like this over a darker liner for anything outside!

Perfect crossover between lipstick and balm

Its lux, travels well, easy to apply, and the color payoff is like my lips but better. Moisture content is perfect. I love that I can apply on the go! My new fav cross between lipstick and balm.

Not worth it

The shade is beautiful, but like other have mentioned, it’s so fragile and has fallen apart. For what you pay, it’s absolutely not worth it :(

Amazing!!! Beauty Bag STAPLE

Obsessed. This is my new go to. My old shade from a different brand was discounted and I’ve been on the hunt for a dupe, I’ve found my match! Same opacity & nearly similar shade. I loooove how it feels on my lips. Most of the products I use are already WA so this buy was a no brainer but I didn’t think it’d be THIS good.

English Rose is perfection!

This is a balm, and so I was expecting sheer color plus hydration…. And it’s exactly what I got. The color is your lips but better, and this balm truly hydrates yours lips.

I love the color and effect, but it got broken after one week of using. Very poor quality for the price.

Hydrating and plumping, beautiful shades

I bought the Ballerine, it’s a lovely coolish pink colour, a soft, gentle shade. Great for everyday wear for the office. I also got the gorgeous red called Pippi, it gives more of statement type of lip. Wonderful for an evening out. The big plus is that I can build up the colour by applying several layers or just keep it sheer by applying less. This lipstick melted while I placed it in a handbag. I can no longer use it. I have never ever had a lipstick melt in my life. Completely crazy.

Great red for summer

I had this in Brique too and wanted a brighter red for summer, to put on top of a stain and it’s perfect! A great, sheer hydrating red that doesn’t bleed is hard to do well. I have Fresh balm too but it’s not as good quality

Perfect pink-nude color: Ballerine

Absolute perfect "your lips but better" nude-pink color. Although, it is far too expensive.

The way it opens is very uncomfortable . The lip color is nice but the stick is moving inside the barrel . I wouldn’t buy it again and wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

Every time I wear this tint I had received compliments. It’s pretty, non sticky, with a beautiful color while hydrates. What else do we need? Just a new must on my make up routine

Would not recommend

The colour turned out to be a deeper brown than the pictures but that is up to personal preference. Was not super pleased on how fast it broke (maybe within 2 weeks of using it) at the bottom and it just becomes inconvenient to use it after that. Given the price point of this product, I would not recommend it.

Difficult to store, ok lipstick

The lipstick is good but the packaging is terrible. It’s too large to store in my makeup drawers but the fact that I have 4 of these and they’re magnetic means the cannot be stored together because each lipstick repels each other. Very annoying - I will not purchase this again.

The perfect nude lippie!

Love this shade! It’s the perfect nude for me. Not peachy at all and not too cool-toned - it’s just right. One star off because it’s really expensive but I do also love the case with the magnetic top/base. It keeps it secure when traveling

Gorgeous but disappointing balm

After using this product for just a few weeks it broke at the base. Now I have to apply it broken and it gets messy twisting it up and down. Way too expensive a product for this type of problem! Color is gorgeous and hydration is very good though! Color is gorgeous t! Too

Smooth and minty - nice quick swipe of color!

It gives a nice swipe of color when you want something quick and light without going full on matte opaque lip. The texture is amazing - it glides on so smoothly. It is a tad minty (like how plumping glosses feel) but it didn’t bother me. I really liked the magnetic lid as well. I would definitely consider buying in other colors!

Glorified chapstick

This is so sheer, you can not see anything on the lips. It is hydrating, but so is every other chapstick. First return for something I couldn’t justify keeping for $50.

Not worth the $$$$$

There was a lot of hype when this launched. It was sold out at my store for a while! Once I got my hands on it, I was disappointed. For the price, there is nothing amazing. It wears off easily and doesn’t feel great on my lips.

A beautiful color and feels great on, however the lipstick shaft itself is very soft and has come off its base. I am disappointed that it is now off kilter in the tube. The tube is hefty and I love the weight of it. Magnetic closer is fantastic. $50 is way too expensive for this problem.

Pretty Color But Overpriced 💄✨

The Nectar shade is beautiful — super wearable, sheer, and gives the lips a healthy glossy tint. I do think the peptide ingredients make it feel more treatment-focused and beneficial than a regular lipstick, which I appreciate. But honestly… it’s not the most comfortable formula on the lips and can feel a little heavy or oddly dry over time. For almost $50, I expected something more luxurious and hydrating. Pretty product, but personally I don’t think it’s worth the price point.

Great color coverage

I love this balm and think the color coverage is deal for daily wear! I wish it were slightly more shiny and shown in the pics but overall happy with it. I’m impressed with the Hydrobalm Lipstick. The formula is sheer, but not too sheer—it gives just the right amount of colour while still feeling lightweight. It’s the perfect middle ground for anyone who wants the shine and comfort of a gloss without the sticky feeling, but also doesn’t want the heaviness of a traditional lipstick.

Not worth it

Not impressed! I got it because it’s Sephora sale and the unique shade (Café Crème). It’s comfortable but not a real lip treatment or balm. It doesn’t provide your lips with real benefits and the color on the lips is not the same at pictures. It is sheer but you can build up the pigment but then the colors become too cool tone (looks like I’m sick). Considering its price, doesn’t worth it.

Not Sheer

This is a full coverage lipstick and not sheer at all. The color is very nice but product is minty. The tube is lovely and heavy and the magnetic top is a plus. But so not worth the money if what you want is sheer color.

I love these way more than I expected to. My lips look fuller and pretty with several of the colors. As long as I blot, I don’t really have a staying-power problem at all, definitely not more than any regular lipstick. I have four and none have broken- hoping that stays the case!.

Love the color and smooth application, however, this formulation isn’t firm enough to be a retractable lipstick. Mine has collapsed/broken within the container after a few weeks use without even fully extending it.

This had me acting like I was in a period drama every time I applied it. The packaging is top tier, weighty, luxe, and fancy. The formula keeps my lips hydrated and not crusty and dusty. It’s basically lip balm that got a luxury upgrade and developed a superiority complex.

Love love love the packaging! So cool and sleek with the magnetic cap. Color is a true cool and unlike any other product I have. Also love the hydration - I have chapped lips at baseline and have been loving this formula. Have to say I am disappointed with how little product there is in the tube. I guess it will be nice to get full use out of a product before the expiration date (not that I listen to those lol)

Beautiful, but not for sensitive lips

This is a gorgeous lip balm. That said, it has unnecessary tingling ingredients and has sensitized my lips so much that I think I'll need to return the several I purchased - my lips feel raw and it lasts for several days after using.

I love it. The colors are beautiful. I've tried several. I find them comfortably hydrating and provide weightless wear. I love the blend of balm with slight sheen and buildable color. I find the tint works like a stain. I don't understand some of the other negative reviews. The word "sheer" is in the description. If you want a deep color, buy a full coverage lipstick.

Smoothing, sheer and moisturizing.

This feels so smoothing and moisturizing. It pulls together my two tone lips together adding depth without looking like I am wearing lipstick. Has almost no scent and no flavor but is still pleasant. I hope they will make refills for it.

I was really excited to try this brand, the packaging and applicator are so high quality and I assumed the product would be too. Unfortunately, it isn't. It feels VERY greasy and is NOT hydrating at all! Really disappointing.

Cafe creme no pigment

Cafe creme had no pigment at all. Zero. It is nothing like pictured. It is completely sheer. It looks like it would be a beautiful shade but gives nothing. It is very smooth and goes on nice but this color is unfortunately just feels like putting on a chap stick

Excellent product

Fantastic for my lip. Great balance of hydration and colour. Stays bright even after eating! Highly recommend. The colour is a beautiful brown that hints in the direction of red.

BOB

I love this! I am definitely going back for more shades. Bob is perfect for natural AND heavy glam looks. The formula is hydrating, and I can get 5-6 hours wear without needing a touch up. Not bad considering I drink coffee all day 😂

Cafe crème has no pigment

I purchased cafe crème. The product itself is very moisturizing, but the color is nowhere near what is advertised on the model! I am fairly skinned with light lips and I definitely need a darker shade.. the packaging is great

Color Changing and Stains Lips

This seems to have a color changing effect and it stains, too. I wish this was stated in the packaging and website. I would not have bought it. My lips turned bright pink and stained. Cleansed twice with oil and it wouldnt remove

Great formula

Unfortunately ($) the formula is as great as everyone says. The shade onyx is what I hoped the Finding Ferdinand black lip balm would look like (I didn't realize it was ph-adjusting when I ordered it—it starts out the same berry shade, but like so many of these products, turns hot pink). The shade Bob is gorgeous but pulls warm if you are very cool toned.

Café Crème is a true cool tone and sort of appears like a sheer taupe-pink, which I love. It's "my lips but better". This product is essentially a very nice lip balm, just in a lipstick shape. It leaves a slight tint on the lips once absorbed but don't expect a ton of color pay off or intensity. Packaging is minimalist and chic. I do think there are plenty of more affordable dupes however so I'm not sure I would repurchase.

It definitely feels balm like, comfortable, lightweight, and also hydrating! It wears well and though it's not incredibly long lasting, I do love how it wears on me. Cafe creme caused dry and cracking lips

I bought café creme and now I have dry cracked lips and little red spots. Gorgeous shade but not sure why they added the chemical for a tingling effect. So disappointed. Now trying to repair my lips.

Not sure why a balm that isn’t advertised as cooling would include Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, it causes a minty tingling sensation that is unpleasant and unnecessary for me. Makes lips feel cold and is otherwise a very basic balm.

Misleading Photo for Café Crème

Nice formula but Café Crème is sheer-er than it appears online. I am fair-light and my lips have a medium amount of pigment- I’d say a little less than the model pictured for that shade has but I can’t tell I’m wearing anything with this on. Don’t like the way it looks on top of my lipsticks and liners so I’m going to get a more pigmented shade. Bummer.

Amazing product ruined by packaging!

This is truly the lip product I’ve been hunting for for ages — it’s moisturizing with the perfect hint of color and cafe creme is a true cool nude which is SO rare. But it’s nearly unusable because the product is way too soft for the packaging it is in. It slips and slides around the tube making a mess, and after three days of use it is completely broken off at the bottom where the product meets the packing. Honestly insane for a $50 lip product.

Quality Issues

Sadly these have quality issues. I’ve had this now for about 3 weeks and sadly the lipstick is starting to soften and dissolve. I can’t use it without it sliding around in the tube.

Beautiful, wearable color. Really like this as lipsticks can be so drying. Would them to consider improving the formula, the product wears well after initial application. However when wearing off it can leave somewhat of a drying effect, similar to poor quality lip balms. Victoria Beckham's lip balms are the ultimate day lightly tinted lip product in my opinion, but this product has a bit more color that I sometimes need.

Very expensive chapstick

I bought 2 of these and returned one immediately because the colour was totally different than what it looked like online. I kept the lighter of the 2 (Nectar) and there is no colour at all, maybe a slight sheen of shimmer as it is a frost but my lips did not change colour at all. It does feel very nice on the lips and lasts for hours but it is too expensive to use as a chapstick. Love the color

Nice but not the best

The colour nectar added a sheer peachy/pink frosted look to my lips which was nice/long wearing, but sadly drying on me. The packaging is very nice but unnecessarily heavier than any other lip product I have. If you want a hydrating, pinky frosted look get the Guerlain kiss kiss bee glow in shade 358 pearly rose instead. a little

Packaging needs to be revisited.

The color is pretty but twisting it is uncomfortable because the space you need to grip onto to twist it is absurdly small. You need to grip it between your thumb and index finger but it’s not even the width of your thumb, so it just feels awkward.

Best balm!

This is probably one of my favorites from Westman Atelier! The balm glides beautifully, it starts sheer but it builds to the fullest color if desired. Has no smell, and the cafe creme one is the best nude color I’ve ever tried. A must have in my opinion!

Not warm as pictured

The texture is beautiful, not too sheer, but the color is just burgundy/berry (which looks awful) on me. So disappointed. The arm swatches look nothing like the product.

Purchased Ballerine and I have to say, it's a great color. It is very light but I want very light and still I see good color payoff. It's classy - not pow, not overly shiny - just polished. Lovely high luxury lipstick

It’s interesting that it’s marketed with the word “balm” in it, as this is only slightly more hydrating compared to regular lipstick. I will say, the packaging I can tell was meant to be chic, feeling hearty in your hand, but the smaller piece is at the top of the tube vs. the typical bottom, so I always drop the top piece when applying which feels unnatural.

Feels more like a cooling tinted lip balm than a tinted lipstick. The red is very sheer in color. It feels really cooling on the lips. The packaging is nice and the magnetic cap is cool. Wish this was more of a traditional lipstick or tinted balm vs tossing in the cooling aesthetic.

Packaging is wonderful, magnetic closure ensures security. The formula itself is light-medium in terms of feel. Synthetic cooling agent in the ingredients. Creates and unpleasant cold sensation on your lips like you are wearing mint lip balm which I personally am not a fan of. But more importantly, it's very frustrating to have a company like Westman Atelier market itself as "clean and natural" and it uses synthetic ingredients. I feel duped.

Buildable color with moisturizing balm

Colors online don't match real life

I seem to be the only one with this problem, but wanted to warn others. I originally purchased the color "Bob" because it looks on the website like a lovely mellow brownish rose color, but what I received was brown. 100% brown with very little rose to it. I'm loving the Hydrobalm Tinted Lipstick by Westman Atelier in the shade English Rose. The formula is so creamy. My lips feel hydrated and appear smoothed. Broke after two weeks

I really liked this for the first two weeks that I’ve used it, and the color bob is absolutely beautiful. However, today I was applying it in my car and the lipstick broke and fell out of the tube. I was able to catch it, but that should not be happening with a $50 lipstick. So frustrating! I wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary and have not had that happen with a million other balmy lipsticks that I’ve used over the years.

I exchanged "Brique" for this color ("Bob") because I did not like how pigmented Brique appeared (much more so than the images online, in my opinion). Bob is closer to my natural more pigmented lip tone when I'm active, just a smidge deeper, and therefore still looks natural even when built up with 3-4 swipes (this is roughly the amount of product that makes my lips feel moisturized). This went on patchy, with more color clinging to dry patches on my lip. When I applied enough to feel like my lips felt moisturized and the patches didn't stand out too much, then the color was actually very opaque/bright, and not at all like the swatch in the images - at least in my opinion. Once you've done two or three swipes across your lips, it is more like a fully pigmented satin finish lipstick versus a sheer lipstick. This lipstick was just okay for me. The color is barely there which was disappointing for me. It’s pretty much the same color as my natural lip color. I didn’t care for the tingly feeling after applying but fortunately that didn’t last long. The consistency was good. It feels creamy and goes on easily. Although the color doesn’t really build like it claims to. It did not dry my lips put which I really appreciated. It didn’t seem to transfer very much while drinking but did remove easily.

The shade i received is juice which is a sheer coral flush. I was nervous about how bold the shade was but since the formula is like a balm it’s easy to wear with a lip liner and make it more wearable. Creamy satin feel
