Oily, textured and acne prone

Unfortunately, this product didn’t work well for my skin. It caused me to break out and made my skin look oily rather than dewy. After about an hour of wear, it also started emphasizing the dry, peeling areas caused by my skincare, making my skin look more textured.

Irreversible breakout

This is honestly nothing special, yes I will admit the formula is very hydrating and glowy. Before I dive in further, for context, I had FULLY clear skin, like 0 spots,ALL CLEAR. Super hydrating! I’ve tried different dupes and find that they leave my skin feeling sticky. However the rhode glazing milk does not. I highly recommend this product. You can use it daily or add it into your foundation.

I think it's a little pricey, but I have to admit it. It's a very nice product. It absorbs quickly and leaves my face moisturized. I find I use less of my barrier moisture cream when I use this. 

I really loved this toner! The packaging is super pretty, and the design is clean and minimalistic, which I love. Even though it's liquid, it has a slightly viscous texture that feels so nice on the skin. It hydrates really well and works amazingly as a first step before makeup. Overall, I’m super happy with this product and highly recommend it

I have dry, acne prone skin and although I was concerned from what I have read and heard, I have yet to see any breakouts from this product. I've tried both the original Glazing Milk and the Highlight Milk as well. I love the glow this gives my skin and how moisturized my skin feels with it on. It's also a great base for underneath makeup and doesn't disturb anything I'm wearing. I definitely recommend it, although it is a bit pricey.

Great Multipurpose Hydrator!

I have been using the glazing milk since shortly after it came out and can strongly say I will not be shedding this from my routine any time soon. I use this as the first step in my skin-care routine, as prep for applying makeup, and even use it sometimes to support quick blending of my makeup! You also get your bang for your buck- I use glazing milk 1-2x daily & the bottle lasts me almost three full months before needing to restock!

Try the small package first.

This isn't right for everyone. I used it three times in a row, and every time I got stinging sensations. Plus, my skin got really dry afterwards with little bumps appearing on it.I love it, It really can instantly give your skin a healthy glow,but I had to return it.

Had extreme breakouts after using this product. I’ve never had acne. I am 29 years old. Almost a month of using this product I had so many little bumps forming all around my forehead and chin. Hopefully get a refund. Extremely disappointed

Now this is a MILKY product! I have been loving this so far, especially because of the texture and color. A lot of milky products are almost translucent but not this. I think it’s a nice hydrating toner, especially in this mini size. It’s perfect for travel and gives my skin a little extra hydration without feeling sticky. I use this before putting on tretinoin at night and it works great, I have fairly dry skin and this keeps my skin feeling hydrated. BEWARE: Not For All Skin Types

After using this product for a solid two years I can officially say it was contributing to closed comedones on my cheeks. Once I stopped using it they cleared up. Even though I found a this product hydrating, it was not the best for troubled skin. has coconut alkalines in it which if you have oily/acne prone skin, it can be very heavy.

I really wanted to love this because I heard so many good things about it, but unfortunately it was a huge miss for my skin. I have combination skin, and after using the Glazing Milk, I started breaking out badly. It took me months to get my skin clear again, so it was really disappointing. Everyone’s skin is different, but if you’re acne-prone or have combo skin, I’d recommend patch testing first. Sadly, this one just didn’t work for me.

This is not safe for anyone with even a little bit of sensitive skin. This made me break out into huge red/dry patches that burned so bad on my face. Talked to several Sephora employees and my esthetician and they all said they get so many complaints of the same.

I wanted to love this, and ignored the reviews. I ended up getting perioral dermatitis from this. I stopped using it and started medication for the dermatitis, and tried the glazing milk again and it burned around my mouth again. I love the other products but be careful with this one if you have sensitive skin.

Normal skin here and I've been using Glazing Milk in the morning for a couple months. I love the glaze it gives, juicy but not oily, and while it's moisturizing I get the best results when I top it with a moisturizer. The packaging is cute and the bottle dispenses just a few drops at a time so nothing goes to waste. It worked great for me but I see why it could be clogging on oily skin. Would repurchase and recommend.

Honestly it’s okay, but not really anything special. Maybe just for my skin type at least. I found it has a bit of a grandma lotiony scent to it, and has an initial little glow but it’s nothing too crazy. I will say it’s lightweight, and I really like her face wash and barrier cream. But I don’t think this is too necessary for your money if you’re thinking about getting it. I haven’t noticed it break me out after a few uses, I have more oily skin.

Great moisturizer

Believe the hype, or at least try a small sample size. It is a thing I didn't know I needed, fresh hydration. I put it on twice a day. In winter, layers well under a thicker moisturizer, but in summer, enough on its own. Soft skin, no irritation, no acne flares with this.

This literally burned my face. Please be careful. My entire face started burning as if it had been set on fire. I developed blisters all over my face, and my skin became covered in bumps. I can’t even touch my face because it hurts so much, and it’s still burning even though it’s already the third day. I also can’t apply any other moisturizer because it makes my skin burn even more. This product does not break me out however they have unfortunately lowered the size. When they first released it it was 2.2 ounces and now it’s 1.7. Just thought I would put that out there. I love this product so much though and it’s my everyday moisturizer

I did like how it felt on my skin what I did not like was that it did not come sealed. Most liquids ive received have a plastic stopper or a plastic seal you remove before using . Also, I was not too crazy about the smell. I love products with fragrance and im also ok with fragrance free but this product had a rancid/expired smell.. So did highligh milk

Avoid This

I would avoid this product entirely even if your skin is not acne prone. It is marketed to be a hydrating and glowy essence, and is marketed more towards people with dry skin. I have dry skin and rarely get acne, however after using this product, I broke out. The product contains coconut oil which is a pore-clogging ingredient and not very good for your skin. I would not recommend this.

Can. Not. Be. Beat. I use it constantly. It’s the base layer for my makeup skin prep. It’s the base layer for my daily skin care. If I can find a reason to put it on my face I’m going to. I love how hydrating it is and it leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. I have very sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate it or break me out which is so hard to find. I always have a bottle kicking around because I’m lost without it.

I didn't expect to like this product as much as I did. I purchased the travel size and that lasted me a long time. A few drops added a lot of hydration to my routine. I purchased a different but similar milky essence from a different store and it did not leave my skin as hydrated as the Rhode glazing milk did. I purchased the larger size this time and I'm excited to go back to it.

The packaging is nice and I didn’t notice a glow on my cheeks. However, this gave me a horrible breakout. I have acne prone skin but this product managed to give me little bumps in areas where I normally don’t have acne. My cousin loves this product and has more dry/combination skin. i think i have pretty acne prone skin but this formula did not break me out and the results after using this a few weeks is insane. I have loved starting to do the Hailey Bieber makeup especially now in the summer!

I really wanted this product. It felt greasy at first but was absorbed by the skin quite quickly. The product doesn’t do much. I don’t think it gives a ‘glaze’ effect. And after a few hours, my face gets oily.

I’ve been using this product for a month in my morning routine and I am disappointed in the lack of lasting results. I have dry skin, that is prone to redness and dermatitis. The product has a pleasant thickness to it, but only as long as you apply it. I have had much better luck with fenty’s fat water.

NOT Rosacea Friendly

I wanted to love this product so bad. Unfortunately, it is NOT rosacea friendly. It burned my skin so bad had to wash it off and then start the barrier crisis routine.

Acne prone and still love!

They say if you’re acne prone, not to use this. But I had awful cystic acne, tried everything, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt. Within 3 weeks my skin was clearer. Correlation does not equal causation, but it did not make me break out and I will not be removing it from my routine!

Loving this essence! First time trying Rhode, and I am quite impressed by this product. It is milky, rich & thick! Gentle enough for my skin, hydrating, and leaves my skin looking soo dewy. Break outs

Very disappointed, this product that is extremely marketed lacks to inform people that A LOT of customers reported these products making their skin break out. unfortunately it took me too long to realize this was the cause of my break outs this winter. Unfortunately I cannot ask for a refund and now I am left with the vaporizer and glaze milk and I cannot use it. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, unless you have a friend that has it and you can try it at home for a week first.

I understand the hype now. This feels so good on skin, it’s thick enough to really give you that nourished hydrated feel. It really gives you a dewy glow, and not sticky at all. I just feel a bit of itch but not bothersome, I read that it could happen if you have a bit of skin barrier problem, I just got back from the beach so that makes sense but good thing this has ceramides so it kinda helps. I feel really moisturized after using this.

Perfect base before makeup

New to trying the glazing milk and it’s definitely worth the hype! Super hydrating but lightweight. I also love using before doing my makeup, it sets you up to have the perfect base and glowy skin. This is 100% a new staple in my routine.

Not for sensitive rosacea skin

It has a very strong chemical smell , the texture is beautiful and it does give a nice hydration and silky ness to the skin but unfortunately it’s not sensitive, rosacea prone skin friendly :( I was so sad I really wanted to love it but my skin did not have a good reaction right away got a rash :(
