Longwear Waterproof Precision Gel Eyeliner

I had such high hopes for this waterproof pencil. It smeared all over my eyes! Even my non-waterproof pencils don’t smear like this one. I’m really disappointed in this one. What a waste in $$$.

Not waterline approved

I've been hunting I tell you, HUNTING for an eyeliner that will last on my waterline and won't smudge and look trashy after 2 hours at work. I was hopeful this $24 one would do, never again

Claims to be waterproof - it is not!

Beautiful color! Was so hard to apply because it is so soft. Takes practice for sure. Unfortunately, even though it claims to be waterproof, it ran terribly under my eye. This is the only eyeliner I have ever worn that claimed to be waterproof and is not. Very disappointed.

Smeared, not great

Used on my top waterline immediately transferred to my lower waterline. Later smeared like crazy. It's pretty bad.

RETRACTABLE eyeliner

FANTASTIC eyeliner!! stays put and doesnt pull on the eye, however the marketing is a little misleading. this is a RETRACTABLE eyeliner, you twist up from the bottom where the sharpener is and youre good! no sharpener needed, hope this helps someone!!

Waste of money.

Well the product quality is quite good but however the packaging is worst. I have used Jst couple of weeks and the twister at the bottom broke! I haven’t even use 10% of the product and now its complete waste of money. andandandnodnotit’sitsitsnotnoreveneveworking

Faulty pencil

I purchased this with high hopes! The entire product inside pencil casing came out and it’s stuck in the pencil cover! I past the time for return or else I would’ve!

Waste of money. shredded at sharpening

purchased high end eye pecil. everything time i sharpened the wood fell apart and colored pencil fell out and would not hold eye colored pencil

Not for the water line

Not the best for what I was looking for. I asked for an eyeliner for my waterline, this did not work! Was told by staff it would stay on but sadly it didn't even want to go on.

Longest lasting eyeliner I’ve ever used, it’s the perfect shade for hazel eyes too! I’ll never go back to other brands. If you regularly wear eyeliner I promise you you need this one

Pretty eyeliner but not long-wearing or waterproof

After reading the reviews here and a few other places I was excited to get this liner! It goes on very easily and has nice pigmentation. I don’t work in a hot climate nor do I touch my eyes during the day and I would not say this is long-wearing. It just wears off on its own. Still pretty and I still like it but it won’t be an everyday liner for me.

Easily breakable

I bought two of these liners, this color and Use Your Own Judgement. I use them primarily for tight lining. They STAY PUT. The pencil glides on the eyelid and is very creamy. It has a bit of time to work so you can smudge or smoke it out for a beautiful wing. The cons: it’s soft and unfortunately broke quickly. It doesn’t sharpen well with the built in sharpener because it’s too soft. I broke a small piece while using the sharpener. That’s when I realized how little product there actually...

Lasted a long time but there was soooo little product. Not sure if I got a faulty product or if it is that small. Kind of ridiculous for the price. Definitely was NOT the length or even half of the length of the eueliner

The best eyeliner!

This is my favorite eyeliner so far. Very long lasting and stay for all day long. The colors look exactly the same as the picture. Love it!

Faulty applicator

This is a really nice product on, but the applicator broke after three uses and now won’t twist out additional product. It’s a real shame, because I really like the actual eyeliner.

This is a fantastic eye liner. It goes on the waterline very smoothly and I have no irritation when putting it on. The color lasted all day and I find minimal to no smudging underneath. Very happy with this purchase.

Dont think about it just get it. Hands down the best eyeliner especially for the waterline does not smear or disapear after a while this is a must if your are a person that loves liner on the waterline

Please don't waste your money

I was really excited for this line to come out and even though $40 for an eye pencil is way outside of my comfort zone, I figured it would be amazing. While the product itself applies smoothly and very pigmented, the "sharpener" is a disaster and ruined the pencil. I think I used it 3 times. Because the pencil is so soft, the awkward-to-use sharpener gripped the product and pulled the whole thing out of the pencil casing. Sadly, it was impossible to put it back. Best eyeliner for color and longevity

Color is dark black and it’s hard to get a color this dark. Love that! It glides on very easily and is long lasting. Best eyeliner I’ve used.

Fell short of expectations

Really wanted to love this, as one of my favorite makeup artists was raving about it, but it unfortunately has some drawbacks. I had even higher standards for this products bc Hung Vanngo is a pro makeup artist himself. The color is rich and beautiful, however, does not have longevity in the waterline. This is my favorite gel eyeliner ever! It glides on so effortlessly and stays in place all day long. I have really oily eyelids and this doesn’t transfer. This is also really pigmented, so one swipe is all it takes to apply this. I cannot rave about this product enough! It has become a staple in my routine and has been a game-changer for me!

Easy glide formula

After using this daily for a few weeks I’m still amazed at how easily is glides on my eyelids. Perfect for mature eyelids.

A must have

I was shocked I would it this much. Lasted all day on my birthday and I cried multiple times still in tact. Best eyeliner I have used in a long time. Even stayed put in my water line

Completely defective packaging

Packaging broke after about 2 uses. Complete waste of money. Like the formula the one time i actually got to use it but wint make this mistake again

I’m only writing a review because i really liked the formula. it’s creamy and you have a few minutes to work it into the shape you want. i have this in black and brown and it’s the only eyeliner that doesn’t smudge into the corners of my eyes.

New holy grail

I love these liners. I ended up getting all of the colors. They remind me of the long gone Marc Jacobs gel liners. Those were my holy grail eyeliners for years. The Hung Vanngo eyeliners are grail. I have not had the issues of drying out or falling apart like others mention. I wear them daily in my waterline and under my lashes.my new holy

Pencil broke after 1 month

I liked this product initially. I bought it Nov 2025 and on NYE I went to use it and as others have reported, the liner fell out of the component. Since it’s a soft gel liner it’s a complete mess to put back in. I’m so disappointed in this product. I will likely not buy anything from this brand again after experiencing this.

Product falls out of the applicator.

I actually like the way that this product wears- very smooth application and really stays put. BUT, I used it twice and then the entire product fell out of the applicator. I already used it and disposed of the box, so very disappointed.

not worth the money

I purchased two pencils the black and purple. They are just ok and not worth the money. The pencils seem to have dried out a bit and I purchased these in December. I have drug store pencils that cost half that are ten times better.

The eyeliner breaks apart.

The pencil breaks apart when I sharpen it. Horrible product. I even changed my eyeliner sharpener, but it does the same thing.

Needs to go back to the drawing board

Does not stay at all - panda eyes within the first hour. Tried again second day and point broke up with normal application. The black color is perfection but the formulation is completely unusable unusable for me

The perfect eyeliner

One of the best eyeliners I’ve used. Once it sets, it lasts all day w/out budging. Gentle enough for the waterline of my sensitive eyes. No smudges or smears, yet easy to remove.

Long lasting tight line and waterline!

The best eyeliner I have ever used for tight-lining or in the waterline because of how long it lasts! And the shades!? Gorgeous! Hung did an amazing job with this formulation and this is now forever going to be my gel eyeliner of choice!

Good formula but breaks every time.

The formula is great, it has staying power and and smudges out so well without disappearing, but Ive had 2 now and they keep breaking off so i cant sharpen and the inner pencil falls out when i take the lid off. 1st one returned for this same reason and the new one broke again. Not worth it if yiu retune every time it breaks. Wish it worked

Gorgeous purple eyeliner with great staying power

Best purple eyeliner I have ever used! I've been on the hunt for a great purple eyeliner forever, this is way better than what I've used from Chantecaille, Chanel, Victoria Beckham, etc. GORGEOUS color and staying power, fantastic for hazel eyes. Special and interesting without veering into tacky. I LOVE it! Most eyeliner smudge or disapear on me after a few hours and this did not budge.

Nice color, great stay, no transfer or smudging.

It stays put for hours with no transfer on my hooded eyes, and even if I use eye drops during the day, it never smudges. The color is very special, it's almost a honey color on my medium olive lids.

Raccoon eyes sadly

Since Marc Jacobs I haven’t found a black eyeliner that doesn’t transfer. So I gave this a chance I’m so sad to report this is by far the worst I have tried. First packaging is nice and standard, it’s super smooth and black. I applied it to my upper water line after few mins it did transfer to my bottom water line so I cleaned it thinking it’s not completely dry. Went to a show after 2 hours went to the bathroom I was beyond embarrassed not only was it completely transferred to the bottom...

Runs out fast/ not much product.

I’m going to give it a 3 stars. Because after using this eyeliner for 4 weeks on my clients only . About 10 of them since I got it. Today I was going to use it but the liner didn’t roll out any more product. I was surprised how fast got to the end.

HOW does it stay sharp?

I can't be without this! I use this bright blue in my waterline every day to brighten them. Somehow it is always sharp. It is creamy enough to apply easily but then sets down and stays in place until i take it off. I'm on my 2nd one.

I have used a ton of eyeliners in my life. This is on the top of the list. Most waterproof eyeliners are dry but the formulation in this one is soft and buttery.

As good as it gets

Very saturated dark brown. Glides on smoothly. Stays put, even in the waterline. You don't have a lot of playtime to smudge it out so not meant for that kind of look. This is my new favourite waterproof gel liner!

It’s… Alright.

Went on nicely and didn’t irritate my eyes, but unfortunately half of it melted off my waterline after a few hours (the kohl pencil from this line actually fared much better).

Perfect shade and great formula

This eyeliner is hands down the perfect warm brown shade. I used to love MAC Teddy but it would smudge. Then I loved Urban Decay Bourbon but got bored after using it for years. I've been keeping my eye out for another perfect, warm brown liner in a long lasting formula and I'm so glad I found this. This eyeliner glides on smoothly, gives you some time to soften the line and then dries down and stays put all day without a smudge in sight. 10/10

Impressive formula and wear-time

I’m really impressed with the formula and performance of this liner! It goes on super smoothly and doesn’t tug at all. It also gives a little bit of play time; I like to smudge it slightly with a shader brush. I love the deep brown color and it lasts all day without migrating around, even in rainy and humid weather.

Best Eyeliner of 2025!

Best gel eyeliner out! This is the perfect brown! The liner did not budge or fade after 10 hours of wear. It looked just as beautiful as when I put in on the morning! Throwing the other brands out. This is it!

Smudges after few hours

I loved how smooth this pencil glides, but unfortunately it smudged within an hour or two. I expected it to be able to wear along my waterline and lash line without smudging but it smudged under my eyes and onto my eyelids

i really wanted to love this but something was not working. in the fwo weeks of using it i like its creamy consistency and maleable flow but it dried up almost instantly and then, the filter fell out. maybe i got a dud?

Outstanding formula and great light taupe shade

This is an outstanding product. I love lighter shades of eyeliner for my lower lash line. It’s much more flattering on my aging hooded eyes and because I am fair it is difficult to find a shade that doesn’t look harsh. This taupe is perfect. It glides on smoothly and wears all day. Meh. I’ve had better

It’s so so. I wanted to be amazed but I’m not. The product broke and fell out of the pencil. Don’t think I’d buy this again.

Been using for 3 weeks straight and this is the only black liner that stays in the water line. It comes with a sharpener making it so ideal for travel. U need to know what kind of product ur working with, its long wear and dries down quickly, so be gentle with sharpening the tip. But thats to be expected. These are makeup artist products, so learning is a bit necessary. Fabulous and such a dark black! Been waiting for a product like this VERY excited to use the rest of the line

Really good eyeliner

This product is beautiful! No complaints on the color, consistency, blendability, and staying power. However, this is really hard to sharpen. I tried twice, and the tip keeps breaking since it's soft. I'll give it 4 stars, but I think I'll stick to wood pencils that can be sharpened.

Great everyday liner

I really love this liner. Great pigment. Im east Asian and I have monolids. It does smudge a little at the outer corners (but after an 8-hr restaurant shift) which is to be expected. I also like tom ford eyeliner but I cannot justify that 51$ price tag. For an everyday liner

This particular shade is perfection! Formula is also stellar! I have mature eyes and this is so easy to work with and LASTS! Wish he’d release a steel grey one. Trying more shades for sure.

Worst I have ever tried

The color is great. The formula is horrible, worse than drugstore. Has that dollar store kind of gel application.

Subtle but packs a punch!

I never wear eyeliner but wanting to change my look I chose the brown. It glides on so easily and is easy to shape to your desired look. It was subtle but made my eyes pop.

Glides beautifully along the waterline and gives enough playtime to smudge out. Even though I do get a little smudging under the skin eyes by the end of the day, I’ve never had an eyeliner stay put so well!

I had high hopes..

Not a super pigmented black it has maybe an hour longevity on the waterline. Mine was hard to take the cap off and the pencil actually came out of the packaging.

changing the game

In all my years of wearing makeup I thought the waterline just couldn't grip product and it would always smudge...NOT THIS!! stayed all night, didn't smudge at all, and didn't gather in the inner corners of my eye like literally every other eyeliner has on me! this eyeliner is changing the game

Very pigmented, matte, raccoon eyes :(

Had high hopes for this. It applied like a dream and was so pigmented, and it didnt irritate my sensitive eyes. It started smudging and gave messy raccoon eyes within two hours of wear. :/

Nice color and nice to use

Smooth application and the color is truly black. Don't be stupid like me and try to sharpen it with a pencil sharpener, all you have to do is twist the other end to get more product. This makes it convenient in that you'll still have the full length of the pencil to hold as you use the liner. I did notice some transfer from my upper water line to lower, but that might be because I applied it while my waterline was damp. I thought it was long-wearing and comfortable.

Tested and Passed the Waterproof Claim!

This eyeliner truly lives up to its "longwear waterproof" name. I wore it through a humid day and it didn't smudge, fade, or transfer to my crease. I even tested it with a few drops of water, it beaded right up and didn't run at all. The pigment is rich and opaque in one swipe. The tip is precise enough for a thin line or a bold wing. It's definitely sweat-proof and tear-proof. This is a fantastic, reliable liner for summer, weddings, or anyone with oily eyelids.

High payoff, concert-surviving gel eyeliner

This gel eyeliner is truly ultra pigmented and longwear! I used it on my friend two days ago when she went to see Lady Gaga’s concert, I put it all around her waterline. After a whole concert and going back home she told me the next morning she still have a lot of color left lol (it doesn’t go well without eye makeup remover) So, highly recommend!
