The color payoff from this palette is mediocre at best. The brand has been very hyped up and perhaps the foundation is good but this palette is just a zero. Do not recommend at all.

huge disappointment

I wish I could give this zero stars. Huge disappointment. I bought this for my daughtet who wanted a cool toned purple palette. We were excited for it to arrive. So mad. I have drug store products with more color pay off. Instant no for me. Chalky, flakey over priced. over hyped. instant return

My go to pallet!

Blends really well! Good pallet if you want to keep your personal makeup kit small. This will serve you well! I’ve bought it for friends as a part of a gift. I’ve also recommended it to my daughter’s dance studio to recommend for dancers to have in their kit. It’s THAT good!

Smells like grape manure; still fabulous though

I have been desperate to find a palate of soft purples and this is lovely! The colors are more pigmented than I'm used to--really hold their own even without a primer. My only beef is that this palette is VERY scented in a bad way. When I open it up I am instantly transported in my mind to a cow pasture on a hot day sipping a grape Fanta. Seriously though, why does this smell like fake grapes and poop???

Wishing for more pigment

3 stars for 1. Great color choices 2. beautiful shimmers 3. blendability. I am super disappointed with the pigmentation. I need to layer and layer the colors until they show up. That being said, with a good primer, its a cute product and I use it a lot.

Wanted to try something new and colorful and hung vanngo delivered! I love the range of color but it did take a couple swipes of my brush for the color to show up on my lid. (Or i probably didn’t prep my lid well enough) this is a good palette for those diving into color as you can build up the pigment.

Love this palette!

Beautiful palette with beautiful shades for darker skin complexions. I can create many looks with this palette, the pigment is amazing, and it lasts the whole day. So easy to use and blend. Hands-down the best palette I have used it a while.

Good but not great for my needs.

I've had this palette for over a month now and wanted something to use every day for work and long days. I'm a 50+ lady with combo skin, medium skin tone (Huda Beauty Amaretti in the summer and Haus Labs 260 in the winter). I love the colors as they tell a very cohesive color story (New Neutral palette specifically)- neutrals that can be used for daytime or nighttime. The sparkly shades do have quite a bit of fall out. I really have to work hard to manage it so I don't end up with glitter...

Great payoff - hard to blend

The payoff is incredible, the colours are superb, velvetty and very rich, however, blending the darkest shade is a bit of a challenge, and result can be patchy if not done properly. It's a great palette though once you are aware of this.

I have both Red and Blue I’ve been wanting the blue but when I was in the store I didn’t check the scan number and got red but I got blue delivered a week or so but I’m in love with the blue pallet definitely 10/10

Beautiful Colors but breaks Easily

I wanted a fall eyeshadow palette and the colors were exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately they break very easily and the glitter shadows have a lot of fallout.

Everyday Staple Palette

I've been playing with this palette for about 2 months off and on, and it reminds me of the great palettes of the past!!!! The shadows are buttery and blend effortlessly. The shimmers apply amazing with my fingers or a silicon shadow brush. I was skeptical about the palettes but I'm really happy I got them!

NOPE! Big nope. I tried swatching it in Sephora and the swatches with the finger worked great. As soon as I got home and used my brushes I realized ; there’s no sparkle, the sparkle that there is doesn’t stay, the matte shades do not show l.

Major fallout.

I can’t believe the hype on social media. I received it today and immediately began to play with it. 45 minutes later, i couldn’t see any sparkle unless i used a magnifying mirror. Where was the sparkle? It was all over my face.

Pretty Colors but not Pigmented

Purchased the Rebellious Red & Pink palette. The colors looked beautiful but they were not pigmented enough compared to other palettes that I own from Pat McGrath, Huda Beauty and Patrick Ta.

Has a LEARNING CURVE but beautiful color story

This color story is beautiful. Swatches beautifully but theres a jump from one shade to another. There is a learning curve for this brand. Once you figure out what works for your skin tone, it’s excellent! My experience.

Miss for me.

I unfortunately didn’t read the reviews prior to purchasing. Love the size & packaging but other reviewers are right. The amount of pigment in this palette vs others I’ve bought from Sephora just leaves something to be desired. This feels similar to cheap eyeshadows I bought in my teens in the 90s.

My neutral go to!

An easy to use eyeshadow palette which compliments my deep skin. My go to for work - and the shimmer looks beautiful. I would not say they are most sparkly but it is exactly what I need for an everyday look.

It's a no for me...

I was so looking forward to this palette since it has such amazing colours (wonderful warm). I watched Hung Vanngo's video doing Selena Gomez's everyday glam look with the same palette and it was absolutely flawless. Sad to say the colours were not pigmented even with an eyeshadow primer, and no matter how hard I tried, it was very difficult to blend. It just ended up looking splotchy. Sadly will be returning.

Heartbroken over the ZERO pigment.

I’d had this thing on my wishlist for months. Finally bought it. Alas… NO pigment. Barely noticeable on the eye no matter how much primer or layering. I’m so mad I didn’t realize in time that you can return opened makeup for being GIANT disappointments.

I purchased the blue palate and was very disappointed with how see through the colours are as if almost not pigmented at all. I’ll be returning it and not purchasing from this brand again.

Incredible!!! I am all about soft purples, lilacs and a hint of holographic shift this year and Hung Vanngo delivers it ALL with his Passionate Purple Pallet 💜 I love the intense color payoff (with no fallout), but even more I love that these colors can be blended out to a very soft and subtle presence without loosing . 10 out of 10 - AMAZING!

Lots of options

This is a beautiful, buildable formula. Each 8 pan color story seems to have 4 mattes ranging from light to dark, and 4 shimmer options, so you can do a complete eye look. I have 7 of these and will be getting the 8th. Reading the lower-ranking reviews, I can say that most of those seem to be wanting more pigment. But these are buildable for wearability. You CAN build up their pigment, but it will take some time. I find that one pass over my lid barely delivers any color, but the second pass...

One of the best

This is a must have imo. I find myself reaching for the neutral palette almost daily. Beautiful shades, blends & builds like a dream. Easily one of the best I own and I own a ridiculous amount of high end eyeshadow.

The packaging has a strong smell. The shimmer color is way better then the matte one. The matte one doesn’t stay that long on my eyelids.

No pigmentation, no blend

Beautiful color story here. The worst eyeshadow quality and formula I have ever wasted my money on. This will NOT blend. Oddly, there is almost no pigmentation here. I got two of these palettes and they are both just the absolute worst thing I ever purchased from Sephora in the last decade.

Beautiful colors that set green or blue eyes off

Beautiful shadows that last all day. These shadows didn’t give me any trouble at all - there was no creasing, no fallout, and a vibrant color story. I’ve enjoyed all the products that I purchased so far from Hung Vanngo.

Beautiful, blendable, a TRUE neutral

I've always struggled finding a true neutral palette. I'm neutral leaning warm, most warm pallets look too warm on me, but most neutral palettes look too cool on me while this one is perfect. Minimal fallout, lasts all day, and very easy to work with it because the shadows are not too intensely pigmented, you can blend them out and blur them really easily.

Really Disappointed

I really wanted to love this because the colour story was everything I was looking for. Unfortunately it didn't work out and I ended up returning it. I couldn't blend this in no matter what I tried and the fallout was way too much. It also didn't last all day. My hunt for a good pallet continues ....

Blendability is Awful

Love the colors but the blendability is absolutely terrible. I can’t believe I paid so much for this when it’s not even drugstore quality.

These colors are lovely. I appreciate neutrals that aren’t too warm. However for the price I expected better blendability and more pigment.

Changed my makeup routine for the better

I used eyeliner and dark eyeshadow daily- and I used to use straight black for eyeshadow, which meant I had to be very gentle with is to get the greyed out appearance that I wanted. Now I just use this and it gives me way more options and it lasts so so much longer than what I was using before (Anastasia Beverly Hills) I love it. It’s fallen a couple of times as well and it hasn’t cracked or been damaged (phew) Best makeup purchase of this year by far

Perfect neutral palette

This neutral palette is beautiful. I have light-medium neutral/warm coloring and have been on the hunt for a palette that isn’t too cool yet doesn’t show up as too orangey or warm on my eyes. This is it! Adding this to my faves among Mario and Natasha palettes.

Fun colours but...

When I swatched and tested this palette in-store, I was like "yes! Love this!" The colours were fun and I was able to create some unique looks. I bought the palette and then discovered the staying power was not great. After several hours of wear I was surprised by the fallout under my eyes. It’s grown on me

It’s nice, and once you get the hang of the formula it blends out nicely, I’m huge fan of the shimmers they take a lot of work for payoff. I contemplated returning it after my first use but I’ve tried it everyday for the past week and it’s growing on me

Best Eyeshadow Quality and Neutral Shades

I love the textures and colours. Applies like a dream with no fall out and smudging. Blends so well. Beautiful colours and feels so good on my dry skin. The best eye shadow quality I’ve experienced to be honest. Huda and Urban decay cannot even compare. I highly recommend it.

I tried so hard to make these work. I tried several application methods but the purple shades have little pigment. Once you blend, even a little, it disappears. The glitter shades were unimpressive. Disappointed.

Wonderfully Warm & Outstanding Orange

I picked up both Wonderfully Warm and Outstanding Orange from Hung Vanngo’s palette collection. I’ve had this palette for a few months and it’s my go-to. I have hooded lids and I don’t use a primer and I have zero issue with fall out and lasts 12+ hours. I use eyeshadow brushes to apply (from Colourpop). I’m so confused with the reviews that say it doesn’t last ! Love it so much, definitely picking up a few more colors !

Love Hung Vanngo

These must be applied to your eyes. Swatches on your hand or arm don’t do it justice. There is some fall out but nothing too bad. I have the orange and the red and I love them both. You can go with a wash of color or build these up. Beautiful!!

Most fun thing I bought during savings event

I’d been eyeing this palette ever since the launch in September. I love working with purples, I’m pale with cool undertones so the colors work really well for me. This is the most fun I’ve had with a makeup product in a while. Th3 mattes are so pretty and I find that they sheer out really well if I want a less intense, colorful look. The formula feels really soft and luxurious and whatever look I create lasts all day. I highl6 recommend picking up one of the color story palettes to experiment with!

3 stars because the colors are truly beautiful, but this is an eyeshadow formula that is VERY difficult to work with. I would describe this as sticky - you do get high pigmentation, but it's nearly impossible to blend, so to get the look you really have to pack on the shadow and once its on, it doesnt move, or blend, or work well with others. This palette is not for beginners.

Long lasting

Great colors, very easy to blend, and lasts quite a long time. I work 12 hour shifts & have been having trouble with my eyeshadow creasing lately even with primers. When I get home about 14-15 hours after application this is barely creasing

Carmine Free; Sophisticated Color Edit

Literally messy and not pigmented enough. I had a hard time applying it to my lids, nothing was showing up but messy and residue.

I was extremely excited to try the composed cool eyeshadow palette. I love the colors in it but they do not blend very well & they definitely don't last. I tried using the colors on multiple days and waited a week to try them again just not a great product.

Decent palette, but nothing new or special

I have way too many palettes as it is, but everyone was raving about this new line, so I purchased a palette to give the formula a shot. The mattes are the main stars, as I found the shimmers to be disappointing, and one of them can really only be used as a topper. Really really wanted to like this product saw so many favorable reviews on YouTube. I’ve given it a couple uses and not only is the pigment very strange and not very good. It doesn’t last. I am definitely going to return. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by Indie brands.

Weird pigmentation and quality…

The light colors barely show up and the dark colors are extra dark. More large glittery chunks than smooth and shimmery. Would love if the quality was better — definitely worse than drugstore makeup. Returning.

Colors don’t last. 

Colors were beautiful and applied well. Unfortunately, they do not last. Had hoped to buy a few of the other color pallets, but due to the color not lasting I’m debating on returning this one. And I use a good eyeshadow primer. 

I was very hopeful that the quality of these products would be as stellar as the creator’s talent, however the product fell way short. I have gotten much better quality from drug store eyeshadows. I will be returning these.

Beautiful formula

I love the lighter colors and the shimmers shades but the two darker brown colors are really dark. The formula is beautiful. I just won’t use the darker two shades for anything than liner for most uses.

I wanted to love it

The colors are beautiful and radiant but the fall out was difficult to work with. I tapped my brush to get the excess powder off, and when I applied it on my eyelids, it would dust off under my eye and ruin my base makeup. I found it applied better when I used my fingertips but then blending it was was harder

Drugstore 90’s eyeshadow is better

I know purples seem to be tricky to formulate to get decent payoff but one of these barely even swatches. And no I am not an alien with purple skin so it doesnt just match my skin. It barely shows up! I blew a puff of air from my mouth and the darker ahadows on my arma blew away

If you’re looking for “orange”, keep looking.

This is not orange, even remotely. A couple of peach, yes. But mostly tan/nude shades. I am going to return it to the store untouched. It’s pretty but it’s not what I thought I was purchasing.

Mixed feelings

The metallic shades are absolutely stunning: vibrant, rich, and eye-catching. But the matte one is honestly one of the most disappointing products I’ve ever purchased. It barely lasts an hour, settles into the crease, and completely fades away. Such a shame, because the metallics had so much potential.

The matte shades get a 5 but the shimmer/metallic shades rate a 1 (especially since they irritated my eyes), so splitting the difference with a 3 rating. The matte shades are beautiful. I haven't purchased an eye shadow pallete in years. This one caught my eye as an everyday go to. These shadows are so beautiful. The mattes have so much payoff and pigment. The shimmers leave such a beautiful look to the eyes. Hung Vango really knows how to make amazing eyeshadows.

Really disappointed by this one. Really didn’t feel like there was much color pay off and it took a lot of effort to blend just to get it looking acceptable. Can’t put my finger on why but this was a sad return for me

Creamy feel, long wear

I rarely write reviews, but this palette really impressed me. I have dry, sensitive eyes with some texture on my lids. Shadows applied true to color, with little to no fallout. Lasted all day without primer and no need to touch up. Biggest pro for me though, was how smooth they made my lids look. Made applying my eye makeup feel as good as it looked. Highly recommend.

After creating my eye look I can without a doubt say there are drugstore brands better than this eyeshadow. The pigment payoff is non existent and the colors are patchy. I would not recommend.

Gorgeous sophisticated palette

Gorgeous, sophisticated palette. I love the curated selection of colors. Again, this product makes me want to get rid of all my other similar palettes it’s so good. The feel of the palette is high end and I love how compact it is for travel. The shadows themselves are beautiful, blend well, and lasts all day! I’m too lazy to ever prime or set usually as well. Good for everything from everyday looks to dramatic looks. I’d definitely try some other colors!

New go to!

I have been looking for a palette with these neutrals for a long time and am incredibly happy with this one. I often go for cream eye shadow but this one stays really well and looks so pretty, you can have an elevated day look and then layer on some of the darker and sparkling colours to transition to evening. I go for classic chic and this works so well.

Really wanted to love this!

I am such a huge fan and couldn’t wait to get my hands on this. Sadly, I found it patchy, difficult to build and dry. I used eye primer and no eye primer to see if that made a difference. I am so sad

I really liked the palette. Good pigments and l lasted me all night long. There was a little fallout on the deepest shade, but besides that, they were easy to bend and looked beautiful on the eyes.

THIS PALETTE. So so good, can build it up for a night out, but also great options for daily use. It quickly became my go to (and my friends are fighting over borrowing it)

I used this product yesterday at the Dolphins/Patriots game in Miami. It was extremely hot and humid, as usual. I set my make-up with the Charlotte Tillbury setting spray, and the eye shadow was completely intact at 11:00 p.m.

These are the only eyeshadows that have ever lasted more than 3 hours on my eyes without smudging or creasing...I am seriously impressed. Love how beautiful the shades and tones are too, was getting compliments all night!

A STUNNING palette/ZERO fallout!!

My goodness this is a stunning palette!! I want to say one thing before I continue- there are a few (maybe more) influencers on sm who have merely swatched this purple palette and called it “not pigmented”. That is utterly false! This has very unique formulas and as a result not every shade will look pigmented by merely swatching. I promise if you prime your eyes and tap the shadow on, building if you want, you absolutely will get more that enough! It’s gorgeous. All my favorite shades and...

This palette is stunning. The colors are richly pigmented, so a little goes a long way. They blend beautifully and build up easily without looking patchy. It’s become my go-to for both everyday looks and more dramatic nights out.

A talented artist’s take on classic colors!

Just picked this new palette up at my local Sephora a few days ago. Have used it 3 times so far. I’m wasn’t familiar with Hung Vanngo, but have since educated myself, and understand the hype over his talent. There are 4 types of textures. The 3D Matte is what caught my eye. This palette delivers! Almost zero fallout. Shade selection is a no-brainer. Very high quality product. Buying a different shade, now. Lasted more than 8 hours. Worth the cost.

Must have for long wear

What an amazing eye shadow. First off the packing is so beautiful and the eye shadow itself is so vibrant and goes on smoothly. It lasts all day too! I love sparkly eye shadows and love how fun these colors are!

Matte and shimmer and glitter texture all of them are so beautiful! Especially I like deepest brown color. It has a beautiful balance of espresso, but not too cool.

Lasts longer than any shadow I've used before

The first time I wore this palette I couldn't believe how well the shadow lasted. I wear eyeshadow every day, and usually it's faded away in the afternoon. With this palette, I was shocked to see it was still on when I got home from the office! I even took photos of the morning and evening to confirm.

All of my favorite shades in one!

This palette is SO gorgeous. The shades are all so perfect for the most beautiful warm and rich looks which are my favorite. I’ve been able to create some more natural glowy day time looks and the nicest full glam for night time. I just used the palette for the Lady Gaga concert and my shadow stayed on all night through the dancing and the sweating! I included a pic :). So happy with it!
