Great for dry skin

My mom loves this product! She’s always asking me to repurchase it for her, however it is better suited for people with skin on the dry side. I’ve tried it and personally did not like the overall look as my skin is oily, very light weight

I’ve used this for a while now and I’ll say it’s alright. Sometimes it works great and I love. While other times it separates and sticks to the peach fuzz on my face.

I really liked this! On days I don’t want to commit to foundation, this gives me the coverage I like. I won’t use any primer under it or setting spray (idk and idc if you’re only supposed to use either for real foundation).

Did not work for me

I have given this product many chances and I just don’t like it. I have normal skin with some dry patches. This tinted moisturizer separates and breaks apart, especially in the dry areas, in just a few hours. I have tried moisturizing skin, using different types of primers, using different setting sprays, etc. but it keeps breaking apart.

Beautiful skin finish

Love this so much. Way better than a CC cream and a BB cream and it still gives a nice light coverage with a pretty natural finish! Blends well with other products and has a nice natural finish on the skin.

Perfect for me!

This product is great! My skin does not look/feel oily or cakey after applying, and I normally have texture issues when it comes to face makeup. It is a great base for my makeup routine.

Go To Foundation

I always get compliments when I use this foundation. It’s light and airy but still provides full coverage and doesn’t feel greasy. It’s my go to foundation now for everyday use and social events.

I do not recommend.

When I used this product after applying a good base, it separated my makeup quickly and made it look oily. It made me breakout like crazy even after washing throughly off. I do not recommend this if you want a clean makeup look with no seperation in your makeup.

Needs better shade range

Love the way it wears, good coverage, and looks great on the skin. The color range is lacking. It’s definitely too warm and yellow toned.

Not a tinted moisturizer.

While I do really like this product I'm giving it 3/5 because this isn't a true tinted moisturizer and feels much more like a foundation. There is no dewy finish, it's pretty matte, and you can feel the product on your skin. It's a nice product for days I need extra coverage.

Nice for summer time and no makeup days

Its hard to find a tinted moisturizer for combination skin, but this worked perfectly. I dont like wearing heavy foundation or sunscreen. It doesnt feel heavy on my skin, and still has enough tint to cover a few spots on my face.

Doesn’t break my skin out and I’m super sensitive. It gives a natural finish to the point you can barely tell I have it on. I’m also combination in skin type and it goes in flawlessly. Sucks I had to wait for my color to be in stock but so worth it.

I’ve been wearing this tinted moisturizer daily for almost two years, and I don’t see myself stopping. It evens everything out while still letting my skin show through, so it never looks heavy. The formula doesn’t cling to dry patches or slide off in heat—it just stays put and looks natural. It’s one of those products I panic if I run out of.

Love this formula for summer specially

As someone who doesn’t enjoy layering too many products, this moisturizer has been a great find. It’s lightweight, has SPF, and gives a soft tint, perfect for days when I skip makeup. I’ve been loving it for summer since the formula feels fresh and not heavy, but I wouldn’t reach for it in winter. Too much transfer

I really wanted to love this skin tint because I love how it looks on my skin. But it’s transfers SO much. I tried different primers, no primer, setting sprays, setting powders – I’ve tried it all. But nope, it still transfers.

Color match was great ! But I’m disappointed I use a lot of rare beauty products and I love the brand but this made me super oily and I have normal skin with some blemishes. It does give a radiant glow but it has a wet feeling and oily feel even with the rare beauty pressed powder.

Sheer & Light

I used this product for several months. At a glance, I love the light weightedness and the sheer coverage. It gives that “glow from within” look. However, if you have oily skin — be carefulll. I would start to look shiny about 6ish hours after applying but I noticed my makeup would transfer to others 😖. Ultimately this is ideal for dry skin girls!!

Weird shade range

The product itself feels nice, love the SPF but it was way too orange on me, it looked fine when I first applied it but got more orange throughout the day. Nothing matched my skin tone so I went back to my fav skin tint from Fenty

This doesn’t make your face cakey. Spreads well. Doesn’t dry your skin out. Gives a subtle glow. Love this product.

This is a must have

I’ve been using this for a while and it is so amazing. it gives an amazing tint and doesn’t look like anything is on your face. I truly love it. It feels amazing on the skin and looks so good. I have found that using a brush or beauty blender helps a lot to make it look better than when you use your hands.

My base kept separating and patchy in certain areas. I do understand tinted doesn’t have much coverage. But this has absolutely nothing. I’m better off just using sunscreen vs this tint

i’ve been using the Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer in 12C for years now. i simply cannot live without it. i HATE heavy foundation; i love simple and natural makeup, so this product is definitely for me.

Do better Sephora

Bought for a vacation in April 2025. used it and like it but beware Sephora is selling product with old expiry dates. Do betterSephora, it's assumed that you sell fresh products. You are Sephora and at full price. Upon closer look I saw that my tinted moisturizer had a 11/2024 exp date. Don't have the packaging so I can't return it.

I got my makeup done in store and used this product. She used more priming layers than I’m used to so this ended up beading on my skin and my eyes kept watering it off under my eye. I ended up returning it.

Gorgeous coverage and moisture

Wow! I honestly wasn’t expecting much because tinted moisturizer is often just not that exciting. I find this one so amazing because the coverage really is like a foundation, and lasts a long time. It doesn’t smear or get patchy throughout the day, and even lasts through some sweating. It’s not oily, and I LOVE how the bottle has a notch so you can store other products next to it and save space. Selena does it again!!!

Love the product but it's complicated

I have been using this product for a good year and half. I love it and have recommended it to a few friends. The last two times I have purchased this product, it has been expired. In December, I went to 4 different locations and they all had expired product on the shelves. a few had just expired in November and the others had an August date on them. I really do love this product but it's not worth the work.

I was sold an expired item. I know the product is great but I was very unhappy that the store doesn’t check the merchandise on its counters. Return was hectic as I had bought at a store far from home I could not return to my regular, therefore I had to finds a Sephora inside of kohls .

This product matches my skin perfectly! It spreads well and can I've seen people use it as both a foundation and a concealer. It has helped moisturize my face and lasts the whole day.

A good beginner friendly tint

I love this product due to the fact that it was a tinted sunscreen. It is very lightweight to the point you forget it is even on your face. The only downside was that it can cling to dry patches specifically around your nose.

Sold almost expired makeup

Product works well- but got as a Christmas gift and was sold almost expired makeup???? This was grabbed from Kohls-Sephora last color of its kind on the shelf… but how long do they sit there for? Purchased December 2024…

It’s overall a good product and looks good but it’s really yellow for my skin tone (Asian, neutral, medium light). I have to mix it with other products. But it blends into my skin pretty well.

I absolutely love this product! It is light feels like there is nothing on your face and covers my face fully. It is a very good product and does leave your face soft.

this foundation is a lot fuller coverage than what is advertised. i’ve tried two shades, 12C (winter) and 16C (summer). the color match is perfect, but my main issue with this is how it melts off during the day and heavily clings to my dry spots. it’s very thick consistency wise. it gets uncomfortable to wear all day, but if im going to do full beat i’ll use it because i don’t have anything else. overall it’s not my favorite and neutragena’s tinted moisturizer is a better and way cheaper option.

MY HOLY GRAIL! I have acne prone skin and often struggle with redness and pimples. this product has helped me so much, it’s moisturizing and helps even put my skin tone without feeling heavy. i use this with rhode glazing milk (sue me) and then i apply with a beauty blender and it looks amazing!

This is very light, applies easily. It dries down quickly. Your skin care and prep needs to be on point because it dries down dry and a little powdery, not dewy, and can look a little chalky or cling to areas of dry skin if I don’t prep with a super moisturizer first.

I absolutely love this product! I typically only occasionally wear foundation as it clogs my pores and makes me break out, but not this foundation! Cystic acne breakouts!

I really wanted to love this product, but I had a few issues with it. The primary issue is that it caused ongoing cystic acne breakouts on my chin during two weeks of my cycle when I wouldn't normally have any breakouts. Can’t live without it!

How did I ever live without this?! For a dry skin, almost 40 year old, this is perfection! I didn’t know what I was missing. It’s so smooth and hydrating. Some may not like the thickness of it, but I LOVE it.

It’s so-so

I really wanted to love this product more, but I think it’s better for normal type skin. I would not recommend this for dry skin. I love this foundation. It helps out with evening out skin tone. I had a horrible break out from stress, and my skin is still recovering from it. If you’re oily, I think this might not be for you, I can see on my T-zone.

I like it it’s definitely light coverage but it’ll even out skin tone a little bit. My only issue with it is I don’t overly love the smell of it so I wouldn’t necessarily buy it online and would say go into a store and get a shade match and see it for urself.

I love this tinted moisturizer so so much!! I have never been a full coverage kind of person I have grown to prefer a more natural look and this gives me just that. I never understood the “your skin but better” look until I tried this product! It genuinely compliments my skin so well and provides the coverage I am looking for. I was worried about how it would look with my oily skin but I haven't had any issues.

Everyday coverage

Very happy with this for an everyday normal minimal makeup look. As a 40 year old with dry skin and spf concerns I find this to be adequate coverage, doesn’t dry me out, & no break outs. Five stars!!

Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturizer

I’ve been using this for little over a year and it still has the same amazing finish. It is great light makeup for someone who isn’t into thick makeup and you can add blush and bronzer on top as you normally would with foundation.

Not moisturizing

I wanted to try a tinted moisturizer and this one was disappointing. It felt more like a mixture of concealer and foundation. I only used it a few times because I do not like how it was not that moisturizing and had a patchy application.

Wanted to love this......

This tinted moisturizer is not wearing like I thought it would. I liked the feel , the color and the price point. But it is very patchy on my skin shortly after I apply it. I have tried 3 different primers. A hydro grip primer is working the best for me. And thin layers with a brush, and I can almost get this to behave. Disappointing.

CHECK EXPIRATION DATES!

I love this product but I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with ordering it from Sephora. I bought this product at the end of 2023 and that product had an expiration date of July 2024. When I went to buy a new bottle, I have had 4 separate experiences of being given an expired product (June and July of 24) via mail and in-store! When i called customer service, they told me the product can be used for 3-5 years and ignored when I implored them to not sell expired...

Perfect for acne prone skin

I have acne prone skin and this is one of the only tinted moisturizer that hasn’t broken me out and covers my acne scars really well.

I like this product a lot. I heard bad things about this at the beginning but either way still wanted to try and ended up liking this a lot. I got the wrong shade since I was tanner at the time but after I got my winter color back the wrong shade became the right shade. Leave skin super soft and hidrated.

Lightweight and effective

Fantastic product! A Sephora employee recommended it. I don't use foundation every day, and I've previously used Sephora's liquid foundation and thought it was fine. But this is a definite step up. Feels lighter but the coverage is as effective, and it has SPF built-in. Also works well as a lipstick base.

I have oily skin and I can use this and stays on me most the day. I love the glowy look and that it has spf too. I was paying double the price foe tinted moisturizer and this works just as good, maybe better. I do have to set my face with powder bc of my oily skin but I have to do that with anything I use.

Best for Combo Skin

I had super high hopes, but unfortunately it just didn’t work out for me. I tried blending with both blush and my fingers but it would still sit on top of my skin. If I so much as touched my face it would drag any product I had on. I did like the finish and feel it gave- it very natural looking and light. I have dryer skin, and I found that it did cling onto my dry spots and separated on them. I see why the product could work for some, but I also see many issues that would make it a struggle...

Lighter as I blend, not for oily skin

I love the formula and the skin-like look it leaves, very easy to blend, slightly scented feels so good, I don´t like the fact that it will go lighter when I start to blend it, I sould've picked a darker shade, really not for oily skin, it'll come off even after I apply setting spray

This is one of my favorite tinted moisturizers for summertime. I love how it looks on me, and I can use this with combination skin. I paid double the price for another one at sephora and didn't even work as good. Happy they recommended me this one. Will be my new summer glow.

HG tinted moisturizer

I have been looking for a tinted moisturizer for a while and have tried a lot at this point. I feel like I finally found one that I love. The shade selection is fantastic for olive undertones, the coverage is light but still covers, and the finish is natural like it states. I do have combo skin so maybe for those who have dryer skin, you might want to moisturize beforehand.

This product flaked off my skin and did not blend very well. It dried my skin out and left a white sheen over my skin. I love rare beauty but this tinted moisturizer is not good.

Ok, but check expiration date

I was able to match my shade online with little issues. It has no noticeable scent and is lightweight. It was a little hard to blend so I looked for an expiration date.My issue is I purchased to replace moisturizer with Spf. The initial product was expired. It was replaced without any problems but the replacement was also expired. I question the quality of the product given this issue. Products tend to separate when stored beyond shelf life.

Not for Dry Skin :(

The color match is amazing but sadly it separated for me and has somewhat of a matte/dry feel after an hour. May work for other skin types, not sure if I need to add even more moisture to my skincare routine?

Not great for dry skin

Good color match, not great for mature, dry skin. Loved the light coverage (almost medium) but it totally accented fine lines on my skin with the Glow Recipe serum and Charlotte Tilbury moisturizer which has been my HG. So... it's ok. I wouldn't wear it for in person meetings but it's ok for Zoom. But it is drying.

Separate After Only Seconds

By far the worst tinted moisturizer I’ve tried to date. It separates almost immediately regardless of my pre application skin routine.

It looks good upon application, and I loved how lightweight and blurring it was. However, by about 2 hours in, I noticed that it starts to separate and look uneven and and almost cakey even. Disappointing.

Do yourself a favor and get this

I have yet to find a tinted moisturizer as good as this one. How is it possible for a single product to supply enough coverage for hyperpigmentation but appear as if you are wearing nothing?? I have acne scares, sun spots, and freckles and it covers them well enough without being cakey. I don't know how she does it but I have repurchased this 3 times and will continue to do so.

Best to apply with fingertips. Makes for a perfect base by itself, especially if you feel like foundation always look cakey on. Mix with Glossier Futuredew for perfect summer skin

Your skin but better!

Light to medium coverage. It does have a more radiant finish than I would like but translucent powder covers it right up. It lasts for hours and doesn’t feel heavy on your skin.

Beautiful but thick and heavy

I love the original foundation it is my holy grail. I decided to try this skin tint because I love the original foundation so much. Somehow this tint is thicker than the foundation and it sits super heavy on the skin. For reference I use a brush to blend out my makeup. It’s beautiful and has decent coverage for a tint it’s just thicker than I expected. Definitely need to go over with a sponge or dilute it maybe with a moisturizer.

I thought I got way too of a pale shade, but it oxidizes to your exact skin tone, and I love this product so much

Not as moisturizing as i like/need. It works great when i mix with other products but i can’t wear it alone.

Surprisingly good coverage for my rosacea! I have dry cheeks and and oily/ normal everywhere else and it doesn’t separate on my oily areas and doesn’t emphasize texture on my dry patches! 10/10 reccomend

Would have loved this but for the fact that it literally smears/rubs off at the slightest touch. If your face so much as brushes your headphones, a pillow, part of your blouse, the foundation comes off.

I love the color match, the glow it left on skin. I got so many complaints! The only problem is it broke me out. My skin is very sensitive, so this is always a risk. If it didn't break me out, I would of given 5 stars.

Really melts into the skin. I use it after doing my skincare routine. At first looks like it’s on the surface level of your skin but after a bit, it just melts into your face (in a good way). It is light coverage, but lives a nice bit of radiance. Have had no issue with creasing (not really using it all day, mostly for a couple hours).

Don’t recommend

I bought it a while ago and didn’t use it for like a month. I used it for two days and the next morning after wearing it both times I woke up with a new pimple. After I stopped using it I stopped getting pimples so I don’t recommend because it caused me acne even though it felt light weight and looked good.

Breakout

The product felt great but caused a major breakout. Tried to return it but was told I have to return it at the same location of purchase since it was a Sephora inside a Kohl’s. I still have the product:/ have no time to go.

The best tinted moisturizer I’ve used

I have light/medium olive skin with freckles and redness. I just (haha) need something with a sunscreen to tone down the red without looking obvious and covering my freckles, while also doing the impossible and matching my skin. and matching my skin. This has done it! I’ll never use another tinted moisturizer!

Will no repurchase

I’ve had this since it came out. So I want to say almost a year? Or a year. I bought it in two shades. Summer and winter shade. The formula was great for the first few months. However after the third ish month it started to cling on my dry patches & it made the rest of my makeup feel thick and look patchy.

Disappointed

Though the color matched perfectly to my skin, this product is underwhelming. It emphasized any dryness on my face and settled into fine line and enlarged pores. I wanted to love this but it just isn't good.

I love this tinted moisturizer sooo much! This is my 3rd bottle of this. I do not like heavy foundation so tinted moisturizer is always the way to go. It's very lightweight. I've received so many compliments on my foundation and how it stays on so long.

I love how it wears on the skin. However, I was shade matched at the store and recommended 32N. I didn’t realize it looked incredibly orange on me once I used it on my entire face. I was disappointed, because it feels and wears great.

Not good if you have dry skin

This product sapped all the moisture out of my skin! My skin is on the drier side, I made sure to apply moisturizer prior to using this. Not only did it dry down matte, but it made my skin feel even more dry, looked patchy and flaky. It’s disappointing because I use the RB under eye brightened and love it! I think this product is better geared towards oily to normal skin types

This skin tint will pill up and separate if you arent really careful with your skin prep. It lasts through a school day but definitely requires touch ups to prevent separation. not worth 30 dollars.

Returning due to patchiness

Very patchy. I have pretty clear, dry skin and it stuck to my dry patches. Beautiful shades but doesn’t work as it should. Putting makeup on top of it looked really bad. Sadly returning.

Great product, leaky packaging

Fluid-like tinted moisturizer with SPF, I like it a lot! The only downside is the only downside is the packaging- it leaks. For that reason I cannot travel with this TM which is unfortunate. To the people at Rare Beauty- please fix the bottle here!!!

I use this with the elf power grip primer, i have very acne prone skin with pimples and this helps me to conceal my redness and inflamed areas of my skin. it makes me skin stay glowy. it can get a little cakey/dry espying

safe to say i wasn’t exactly satisfied. it’s pretty expensive and it is really patchy and cakey. not only this but it also literally RUBS off my face, even when i do a great base for my makeup. it does blend well though. and I’ve had it for a solid 3 months and it’s only halfway empty. still, it could be way better.

I love it!!

I love it! the only downside is that i have dry skin patches sometimes and the product makes it really visible. if you pair it with setting spray, it lasts a while. the product doesn't feel oily, so that's a plus. would recommend this product!

This is literally the best skin tint that has ever been made hands down. It’s so skin like, the color is gorgeous, it blends out super easily, it’s build able, and it’s very hydrating. Miss Selena was not playing around with this!!!

Looks super patchy on my skin. I have tried blending it with a beautyblender, a brush and my fingers but it still ends up patchy.

Makes my skin look so dry

I wanted to love this since it has SPF and offers less coverage but this makes my skin look so dry! It enhances and shows every dry patch. I’ve tried with a few different moisturizers underneath, all with the same result. I don’t even consider myself to have dry skin - this just somehow makes it seem so.

Use it everday for natural coverage

This is an excellent tinted moisturizer. It hides my melasma and acne scars well but also has a natural finish. I don't like a heavy makeup look during the day, and this has a natural finish that is easy to apply with brushes or just fingertips. It is also buildable but doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Will definitely repurchase for daily use.

Really wanted to love this but it is ironically very drying on my skin. I have to put on a different moisturizer first, which in my opinion defeats the purpose. I'll still wear it for the sunscreen. Unfortunately it doesn't do anything special for my skin.

Will 100% be buying again

I am not kidding when I say I never write reviews or rate things but this product deserves it it is my new favorite product it goes on so good and last all day. It also doesn’t dry out my skin throughout the day. It even goes on nicely over other skincare products

Glowy Look

This product gives such a glowy look. Medium Coverage but my skin feels so good with this on. I normally don't like to wear this stuff because I like my skin to breathe but i can barely feel it.

Daily go to

It does make my skin look orangey, which I was taken aback by. However, I noticed that I applied too much (which made it look very orange). A little goes a long way with some concealer. Stays in place and makes my skin look great!

Must Try

This is a great tinted moisturizer! The shade match is perfect for me. I use shade 20w and it feels light weight and love the added skin care benefits! If your thinking about giving a try, highly recommend!

I love it!

I love this product! I have dry skin and it looks so natural. It does tend to slightly cling to my super dry spots but it isn’t anything crazy. It’s super lightweight and buildable.

broke me out

i liked this for a while and looks very pretty but broke me out really bad after a while. i like the spf that is in it though.

It’s a great product but I don’t like how little it is

This is a great product! It is super sheer and natural, great for “no makeup” days. The tint doesn’t make my skin oily like other tints. This gives me the perfect skin like finish and the formula feels incredible on my skin. I wish it was more than 20 spf but I can’t complain. I loveee rare beauty.

Perfect for a no makeup-makeup day! Doesn’t look like you have a bunch of makeup caked on, just something simple and natural!
