Amazing product and had a very good shine. I thought it would be a bit more shiny and sparkly. If you’re into natural makeup it’s more for you compared to a full beat. It’s also a bit patchy but I didn’t notice that after I put on setting spray

it is extremely fragile. mine shattered in my makeup pouch on day one while the rest of my makeup was fine. i couldn’t put it back together because it kept spilling out the back of the case. i’m honestly really disappointed with it because i only used it a few times before this happened.

Like every other comment states: do not purchase this product! I used to LOVE Rare Beauty products when they first started coming out, but now I feel like the quality is not the same. Although I LOVE the liquid blush and lip oils! The highlighter was not it. Even though it has beautiful pigmentation and colors. It was amazing-at first it was gorgeous not chalky or too glittery but even though I was careful when I went to open one day it broke all over me and made a mess it was beyond repair and not worth buying but was a good product at first again

Glowing to the Heavens

This is MY FAVORITE highlight in my collection. Smooth application and beaming to the heavens. Plus you get a lot of product-I have had mine for a while and use it often but haven’t had any sign of hitting pan soon. Packaging is a bonus-aesthetic enough to leave out on your vanity. It’s worth the price imo.

I have repurchased this highlighter three times now. I love how it gives a nice glow to the skin with light and won’t show otherwise to emphasize a more natural glow. it does apply very smoothly and a little can go a a long way. My issue is that it is SO FRAGILE. It breaks so easily, and for a highlighter this expensive, it's been happening for years now. Making me question especially with the price rising to buy it again.

I am SO SAD, this has to be one of the most beautiful highlighters I’ve ever bought. It is so stunning and yet after only a few uses and opening up the makeup container, it is all shattered on theinside. I didn’t even drop.

Absolutely so beautiful I love this!! Only downside is it does break pretty easily but for me it wasn’t that hard to fix. It just can be annoying because I lost a lot of product while fixing:(

enlighten was the only color that worked on my fair skin. this is beautiful paired with their liquid blush! also, i dont have to use very much of this product in order for the highlighter to pop. i can see a pretty long time usage of this product, unless it shatters due to its delicacy.

I absolutely loved this highlighter! It gives such a beautiful glow without looking glittery, and it blends so easily. I like the actual product. Stays on and less glittery than most. But I’ve only kept this in my bathroom drawer, not a makeup bag that I carry with me, and it still broke on me! So much of it got wasted.

An absolute must-have

I've used every possible highlighter and this is IT. The holy grail. It pops like nothing else, lasts all day, and you only need a tiny dusting for a big impact. My fave shades are Mesmerize (a rose goldy bronze and Exhilarate (champagne gold).

I was no exception to the rule

I bought this highlighter despite seeing numerous reports about it breaking. "I'll just take very good care of it," I thought, making sure to leave it at home and use it gently. Well, no matter, it broke anyway. While it is a lovely color, I shouldn't have wasted my money.

truly an amazing product. lasts long and is super pretty on the skin. it does tend to make my face look sweaty, but that may be a normal ‘’effect’’ of highlighters in general. 3/5 because of how easy it is breaking.

I'm not sure whether the problem was the shipping or the quality of the product, but it arrived completely crushed and broken into powder.

I was really disappointed when I opened my highlighter and found it broken right out of the package. It didn’t work at all, which was frustrating and a waste of money. I expected better quality and won’t be buying this brand again.

Heartbreaking consumer experience

Like so many others, I fell in love with the beautiful pigment and wet-looking glassy highlight. This product really is perfection—until it gets any use. I purchassd months ago when I fell in love with the tester in store soon after Rare Beauty launched at Ulta. I finished up my other highlighter and just started using this product. On my second day of use, I dropped the compact. The entire highlighter disc detached from the package and crumbled on my bathroom floor. This is way too delicate...

Not good

The pigment is patchy and doesn’t blend evenly and is WAY too much, like if you so much as tap the highlighter it picks up so much. It also broke in the first week after buying it. Not a good formula and the pigment is obnoxious

Holy Grail

Was scared when I first bought the item due to all the negative reviews about it breaking, but I have 3 shades without any issues. I’ve had 2 of them for over 2 years, while the 3rd one I bought in March, and none of them arrived broken. This is a gorgeous highlighter. It’s seriously one of the best I’ve ever tried. Adds such a nice glow to your makeup without looking patchy or too glittery (if that’s even a bad thing lol). It is a super fragile formula but the product is worth it.

Nice highlighter!

After having this product for the last few weeks, I am loving the results! Hasn't broke, but I don't put in a makeup bag it stays in my makeup drawer. I love the shine. It doesn't look grainy and it's not a big bulky compact so far I would rely again.

I had already heard online that these are prone to breaking, so I was extra careful. I kept it in its original container at all times and never dropped it. I love it but as other reviewers have mentioned, it breaks easily leading to loss of product. I dropped it once, the powder shattered, and every time I open it some small amount will go everywhere. Otherwise works great, if you look closely there are tiny pieces of sparkle, not noticeable from a distance. I use it on top of matte foundation for added glow.

Way too delicate of a formula. It is pretty, sure, but if you drop this even once, all of the product will break apart and fall out and leave you with a pile of shiny dust to vacuum. Only get if you're willing to handle this as gently as a Fabrige egg

I love the glow of this highlighter, the shade is beautiful and looks very natural on the skin. However, it is extremely fragile. Mine broke inside the packaging even though I handled it carefully. Considering how delicate the formula is, the packaging should definitely be improved. It’s disappointing because the product itself is great, but the packaging doesn’t protect it at all.

Save yourself some aggravation and just throw your money in the trash! I opened the brand new package to find it completely smashed. I am not a highlighter girl but I bought this for fun. I only have to apply the smallest bit and it adds a lovely glow. I think next time I would go with a different colour - maybe the lighter one. This one looks quite gold on my skin (NC30)

Breaks easily

I have bought these highlighters 3 times already. I love the pigmentation and the glitter however after a few uses the highlighter starts breaking off in the palettes and after dropping it once the highlighter shatters everywhere making it messy.

I love this. It’s the best highlights I’ve used yet. Blendable and easy to keep light or build up. I have not have the break issue like others mention and mine stays in a makeup pouch and gets thrown into my work bag. Maybe I’m lucky it hasn’t broke yet!

Shade mesmerize is too dark for pale skin

Mine arrived broken. Customer service had me ship the broken one back, and they sent me a new one that arrive in tact. However, the shade mesmerize is too dark for my pale skin. It's pretty, but I wish they would make this product in a lighter pink shade like the "enchant" shade from the liquid highlight formula.

Absolutely love this highlighter!! It is so fragile though, I have had it since November and I don’t know what happened but I used it one day then the next day it was fully broken. So just be careful when placing it back in makeup bags

I always go for blinding highlights but somehow I couldn’t like this one. Not that it wasn’t blinding, it’s just too…chalky? thick? Also tends to be more yellow on the face and worst part is, enhances the texture. Packaging feels cheap.

The highlighter arrived in total crumbles, so Ulta sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, that also arrived in crumble even worse than the first shipment. It looked like a compact full of salt granules. I think the color is beautiful and I love the blush from this line so I hope this issue is fixed- it looks like several other others have the same problem.

Perfect Highlighter

This is the best highlighter I have ever used. The pigment and formula are amazing. So much pigment and such a lovely long lasting blendable formula. I got it in the Enlighten shade and I'm in love!!!

Great- but arrived in crumbles

This highlighter is absolutely beautiful. It's actually the second color I purchased from this brand. However, the packaging or however, it is shipped is not suitable. Mine also arrived in 1 million pieces and when I took it out of the box, not realizing it was crumbled it spilled all over the floor. I hope this changes in the future because it's a great product!

Highlighter works great but when it came the product was completely destroyed (crumbled up and falling out of the container). Still useable if I apply it with a small brush, though I can't put it in my makeup bag because too much movement makes the product break and fall apart more.

For the price should be a lot more stable

I used this maybe 5 times at most and was VERY cautious with it as it is known to break easily. The results were amazing but one day I opened it and it was completely destroyed. In the picture you can see I barely used it.

I have been using this highlighter since it first came out and I absolutely love it. The Sheen on it is perfection and the color is perfect for my skin. Everybody always says I'm glowing and I always try to tell them it's my highlighter, but they just don't believe me they think it's just my skin!

I am very happy with this purchase! I purchased the champagne color and it's perfect for my light/medium complexion. A little goes a long way so you don't need to load up your brush to get desired results.

Good one. I usually use it once i am Done with all makeup and then with my finger use it on my cheek bones, nose bridge. It gives a very subtle glow. I use color mesmerise.

The highlight is beautiful but it’s SO fragile. It just flakes off. I also barely dropped it and it was completely ruined. The whole top half broke off and all that was left was like a really hard layer you couldn’t use. I don’t think I would ever buy it again.

im sure there's something that's better

I really liked using this and it pairs really well with the rare beauty liquid highlighter but the other day I opened it and more than half of it broke off and fell out, I was able to salvage some of it but now I only half about half left.

Wanted to love

I was so excited for this highlighter. I purchased in store and as soon as I got home I opened it to try it. The entire thing was crumbled in the pan. I will be returning, but if it can break that easily I'd hate see it if I accidentally dropped it.

Loved the color and texture. So smooth! Unfortunately, the product crumbled and broke apart in my makeup bag, leaving dust and crumbles everywhere. Even with gentle pressure in my bag and separate compartments for cosmetics, it didn't hold up. What should have been a compact, travel-friendly piece turned into a mess that was hard to salvage.

The best highlighter ever. Looks amazing. No chunky glitter, best glow. Be careful with packaging. I store mine in its original box to protect it from breaking, but it's so good, that it's worth the risk. Please do not reformulate if you fix the breakage issue.

I was only able to use this Rare Beauty highlighter three times and then the pretty round solid bubble of high lighter turned to a messy lose powder that this cute little compact cannot contain.

I love this highlighter in exhilarate. Im super fair but it looks stunning with a warm look. Its got a super shiny wet look finish with no glitter. It doesnt accentuate texture any more than any of my other highlighters. The formula blends so easy and stays put for me. I will be purchasing enlighten next.

BREAKS WAY TOO EASILY

Best product, worst packing

I really love this highlighter. The glow is beautiful and very natural on the skin. Unfortunately, the packaging is a big issue for me. After only about three weeks, the product broke even though I was careful with it. It’s honestly sad because the formula is amazing, but the packaging doesn’t protect the product well at all. I loved this product so much I brought it everywhere with me. It was always in my makeup bag until my first one broke. I got a replacement one, then that one broke. I see all of the reviews for this product product are complaints about the packaging and how it breaks, I would not agree more of that. I absolutely love this shade it is so pretty, but arrived cracked. Every time I open it to use it, the highlighter goes everywhere and takes forever to come off my hands. I would recommend just buying the liquid version of this instead.

I don’t have a printer at home, and having to find a place to print, drive there, ship it back, and then wait for a refund takes a lot of time and effort. Blinding Glow

The shade Exhilarate is a gorgeous light champagne. I like a blinding highlight which this gives. A little goes a long way. The first one arrived broken but Sephora shipped me a replacement very quickly. Highly recommend.

Very fragile

Great product but I do wish I read the reviews… it broke easily and spilled all over my makeup bag during travel.

I feel like this highlighter is too much for cheekbones if over 30 and if you have any texture but looks great as an under brow highlighter. Also you can’t travel with it and have to be super careful or it will break

Formula Great Packaging SUCKS

The formula is gorgeous. literally can’t beat it. BUT THE PACKAGING IS TERRIBLE. I had heard that it broke easily but I thought that was just from people dropping it or being rough on their makeup. NOPE! It broke after being carried normally in ny makeup bag. So disappointed and it will keep me from repurchasing.

The color and formula are good, but the product is very fragile. The highlighter is prone to peeling of the plastic piece, making it easy to break later on. I'm not the only one with this experience; you can find similar opinions online. I do not recommend it, as there are many better options available.

this was literally my favorite highlighter formula until it shattered in my make up bag for no reason. and its still perfectly usable. i will not be repurchasing due to that.

Color is gorgeous and silky smooth but that’s the problem. I had heard negative reviews about this product breaking easily and sure enough - I carried it from check out to my car, opened it up and it was already shattered 😭

I absolutely love the Rare Beauty highlighter. The formula is amazing, very lightweight on the skin, and it lasts for many hours. The only issue I experienced is that the highlighter broke very easily from a very light impact. This was not caused by shipping or external packaging ! it happened during normal use. Broke when I opened it the first time….

The product itself is Beautiful! Applies well and with some setting spray will last all day. Unfortunately, it immediately broke when I opened it and I’m kicking myself for not reading the reviews because it seems like everyone who has purchased this just has to use it broken.

breaks breaks breaks...and breaks your heart every time. I have bought this product 4 times. And it broke every single time. But I love the product so I stupidly keep buying it. it's very pretty and super easy to use. It was my first ever highlighter. I have to do my makeup on the road 5 days a week so I'm sure the next one will break but it's worth it. when i can afford it 🥺

Looks great, but arrived destroyed

Product seems great, tested it and it looks good, however, both times it was shipped it arrived completely destroyed. The second one was supposed to be a replacement for the first, it arrived even worse.

While this may be a good highlighter, I don’t know, because I gently dropped it onto my dogs beg as soon as I got it home and it shattered. Once it shattered I realized just how little product is in this. What a waste of my $37.

Loose Compact but Perfect Highlighter

One of the most perfect highlighters but with a few drawbacks. Every time I purchased one of these, the compact was either loose or the highlighter was broken. It seems a bit too fragile so Im hoping theyre able to fix it since its pricy. Other than that, the pigment is perfect for building up either subtle or dramatic looks :)

LOVE this highlighter, but gets broken SO easily

I first received this product as a gift for Christmas 2023. I absolutely LOVED it the way it laid on the skin, the glowy finish. So much so that I bought it online in another shade. Big mistake. The package famed damaged and so I went to get a new one in store. Long story short I have had to buy four of these and I still don't have one. My New Favorite Highlighter!

This highlighter is absolutely stunning! The texture is so smooth and silky—it literally melts into the skin. Gives the most natural, lit-from-within glow without looking glittery. Works perfectly for both everyday makeup and full glam. New favorite!

A little disappointing

I didn’t have this product for very long maybe a month or so and it crumbled and fell all over the floor and my makeup bag. Pretty colour, smooth finish, but didn’t hold up in the compact.

This thing broke on its way to me. But this may be the most beautiful highlighter. If you like a metallic glow, this is truly the best.

I am obsessed with this and can't believe I hadn't had it in my life sooner! Perfect shade for summer
