Love this

This was my first time trying this foundation, and I really liked how light it felt on my skin. It blends quickly and gives a smooth matte finish without looking heavy or dry. The coverage is easy to build, and a small amount helped even out my complexion while still looking natural. It also held up well during the day and kept shine under control. A good choice if you want a matte foundation that still feels comfortable and looks skin-like.

My favorite foundation of all time. I love the way it leaves me with tbe most perfect matte finish. It doesn’t leave it too matte, and the foundation literally lasts me so long. The coverage is amazing!

This foundation exceeded my expectations.

I have oily skin and this foundation performed amazingly. I wore it for almost 10 hours, including sweating and drinking, and it held up very well. It faded slightly on my forehead and chin after many hours, but evenly and naturally. The coverage is buildable, great for dark spots, and never felt heavy. I love the light reflecting foundation but I have combination skin and so I wanted to try matte. This dries on my sponge and makes chunks on my face, then I also realized it’s dry right out of the tube and chunky. Sad/pricy.

Very drying—- My skin was super hydrated during prep and the foundation caused flaking and peeling.

Smells like coins

I love this foundation the coverage is insane and I love that I can travel easily thanks to the packaging. I haven't had any issues with the packaging like some other people have. I do hate that even though it's scent free it smells like Pennie's lol I hate that because that's the reason I stop using it.

Recommend for oily skin

I was looking for a foundation that would last all day and look great. I will say skin prep is crucial for this foundation. I love the soft matte finish. After about an hour my glow peeks through and gives a more satin finish. I only have to blot once with this foundation. with

Not worth it anymore

Separated with or without primer and is incredibly hard to color match. Either oxidizes orange or is too pale. I have oily skin especially on my nose.

I really wanted to love this product. I applied with my fingertips and that gave great coverage. After about 6 hours it started getting really weird around my chin and under my nose.

Fire product except oxidation

Used this for two months. Love almost everything except that it oxidizes and changes to a WAY darker shade for me. If you can get a good sample, it’s great to do.

My holy grail foundation

I've been a fan of this foundation since 2020. Every season and so many trips, it's been my go-to because it doesn't change color throughout the day, looks great in photos, and keeps my super oily skin from showing up. I look smooth and matte without dryness or cakiness. I've used my Beauty Blender, my various foundation brushes, and my fingers with excellent results. It has outdone my Huda, Hourglass, Laura Mercier, and Lancome foundations in look, feel, and longevity.

10/10 foundation

I am using this product from last 3 years; no breakouts; no issues. Full coverage soft matte foundation; best for combination skin.

Not for me

It was incredibly hard to find a shade that matched as something would look great and then when it dried down it oxidized and looked much darker. The bottle is also plastic and the nozzle got quite messy. Good if you can find the right shade.

Love this foundation

First time using Nars foundation, I really like the feel of this foundation. A little goes a long way. I wore it for 8 hrs and still look fabulous

Staple in my collection

I love this product. It’s easy to apply. Glides on smooth and weightlessly. Matte complexion with a wide variety of skin tones to choose from. It works so well! Worth the extra money.

I've tried a lot of foundations, from drug store to high end, and this is the first foundation I've truly been happy with. The coverage is amazing; I don't have to constantly go back to cover up my dark spots and blemishes. And I look good from when I put it on to the end of the day.

Must have foundation!!

I love this foundation!! I use color santa fe everyday. This product contains hyaluronic acid which is hydrating for the skin so aside from being a matte foundation don’t worry it wont be dry

Great coverage

I decided to try this because it was on sale last week and I am so happy that I did. It blends easy, you only need a drop to cover your whole face, and it looks beautiful on the skin. it lasts all day, and I have gotten so many compliments.

Awesome

Ive been trying a lot of foundations bc every thing is looking cakey on me, i wanted a non matte finish, but fell in live with this formula. Haus labs is beautiful, but gives me pimples. Dior. Is nice enough, but i hate the smell. Estee lauder double wear looks a lik dry. I love shisheido finish, but it tranfers too much. Im wearing the strobe mac cream underneath in the pic. It is freshly applied. I find it is a true neutral like shisheido unlike estee lauder or dior.

Packaging leaks..

I haven't tried it yet, only swatched but it looked like a good shade match and didn't look bad on my hand.. however it exploded when I opened it.. disappointing.. the packaging is pretty and sleek as usual from NARS but it leaks everywhere which is unfortunate for such an expensive product

My new favorite foundation

I have been using Danessa Myricks blurring balm in 9.5 & wanted a liquid foundation. I am in looove with this color match & the soft matte finish.

Not long lasting or good for oily skin types

This is one of the worst foundations I have purchased. Initial application, beautiful. 2 hrs later the product is breaking down, shinny and slipping. I have oilier skin and prep accordingly.

Great coverage, doesn’t settle into lines w/prep

I finally found my foundation! I had been using face tape but it settled into my (age 49) lines and pores (plus they didn’t have the proper cool shade for me so I had to mix), even with prep. Aesthetician Approved! Humidity resistant

This is my go to foundation in extremely humid conditions. This has lasted all day through high heat, humidity and sweating. I love the full coverage. Less is more. I use a foundation brush. Prep well with your skincare & don’t forget a makeup primer.

I’ve never found a true matte foundation until this. I’m an extremely oily girl and I can vouch that this will make your makeup last all day. I didn’t spot an ounce of oil after my 10 hour day. I used the Danessa Myricks matte primer and it works so well with it!! I will repurchase this foundation !! :)

Long lasting & beautiful

This a lovely matte foundation. Build able but fairly full coverage from the get go. Best to prep the skin with lots of moisturizer first to make sure it lasts all day!

Undertones are not quite there

I will start out by saying, with proper prep, literally every single nars foundation is amazing. However, the undertones are not true to label. I have to use Mont Blanc because it’s the lightest, closest I can get. It claims neutral tones, however pulls orange. You cannot go and use warm or cool tones with the other colors because they either pull extremely warm or extremely cool, so also not a match. I think this foundation and every other one would be much better with an option for neutral girlies.

An everyday staple

I’ve never been able to find my perfect shape with the coverage I’ve wanted but with a light feel, well I finally found it with this foundation I don’t think I will ever stop wearing it

This is my least favourite foundation of all the foundations I’ve ever tried unfortunately. I loovveee other Nars products, but this one didn’t do me any favours. A couple of hours after application, it sets into my fine lines, and my pores look huge. Do not recommend.

A new match.

Patchy and orange tone

First Sephora foundation I ever tried and it was so orange on my skin and extremely patchy due to it drying very fast. I have oily skin which is why I got the matte version at the time.

It cause me cystic acne

I have oily and very acne prone skin. I bought this foundation had very big hope that it doesn’t break me out .the second day after i used this foundation i got very big inflamed cystic acne

Definitely a no for me! It separates on my chin. Tried different application techniques and still creases. If I wouldn’t have used my Sephora points for $10 off I would return it.

I really wanted to love this. I consider my skin normal, but it somehow found dry patches and texture to cling onto and highlighted my pores, just not a good look. Coverage is nice though, maybe better for oily skin?

Love the coverage of the Nars potted concealers so I wanted to give this a try as it claims to be a “full coverage” foundation. As a postpartum mom struggling with melasma, this had very little coverage. Also not for people with mature, normal/dry skin. My skin leans normal but can occasionally be dry when using retinol/tret. Nice Foundation

This is a great foundation but I had to return as it does settle into lines pretty harshly. My fault as it is a MATTE foundation. I’ve always loved Matte foundation but it doesn’t work well with aging skin. Anyone younger without a ton of lines this would be great for.

Made my skin super dry and flaky

I exclusively use NARS for my foundation, I normally use the natural radiant long wear foundation, but the location near me didn’t have the color I needed in stock. So I tired this foundation, it made my skin so dry and flaky… would not recommend.

Pulls yellow!!!

I’ve been using this product for well over a year and it’s hard for me to decide if I like it. This foundation pulls very yellow. I’ve tried three different shades, and every single one gives a yellow tint so I feel that the shades are hard to match and get correct. I pull more warm in undertones, but wanted to try a cooler toned share in the product to see if it would offset the yellow and pull more neutral, but it still pulls yellow! So odd. Really wanted to like this product however consistency was off. The packaging is terrible. The cream just keeps oozing out and it got everywhere. I cleaned it multiple times and flipping it upside down to prevent spillage.

Combo skin? Run run run

Great coverage but if you have oily combo skin or are using a prescribed retinol run! My skin has never looked worse.

Best matte foundation

Most favorite foundation but mostly for the summer my skin gets extremely dry in the winter. So a little too matte during the winter. Anyway this foundation lasts all day doesn’t break out my sensitive skin. I like this more than double wear or any other long lasting foundation.

The only brand that works for me highly recommend.

Turns grey

Oxidizes really bad and turns a grey hue which looked awful on my skin. Very matte finish, lasts all day and applies well.

I’ve been using this foundation for a little while now, trying to get my moneys worth… and I’m soooo disappointed!!! It settles into my flaws, it’s patchy and cakey. I’ll wear it for a few hours and it’s so obvious that it’s not a good product. Beware.

I had high hopes for this foundation.:I have combination skin and can get really oily in my t zone and dry around my mouth area…this foundation clung to my dry patches and over exposed my already textured skin. Still on the quest to find my holy grail foundation

A Daily Foundation

This is my everyday foundation. It’s easy to use spreadable and does what it needs to do as far as coverage. It does oxidize with wear after a long day if you get hot/sweaty. However if you do the steps and bake the beat it holds well.

Great for Winter

This is perfect for winter. A little goes a really long way and doesn't cake on my skin. Great coverage too.

Really nice foundation! Tried it once back when it first launched and bought again recently. Looks nice at first but separates and is patchy

I wanted to love this foundation so much. My partner commented that it was the best and most natural foundation I had found yet since I’ve been searching for a new one (my OG brand and colour was discontinued) but alas it was short lived. i really really wanted to love this product because it was great coverage for my acne and oily skin overall but as the day went on my chin area would get dots/spots all over my face… and the shade matches are not very good. either too orange or too yellow. nars do better

I love a matte look, the only issue with this foundation is that it gives you a yellow tone. There’s better dupes out there that do the same thing but, won’t give you a yellow tone.

BEST FOUNDATION

I have no idea why no one talks about this foundation more, it’s been my favourite for years. It’s high coverage (hides all my acne!) and lasts all day. I like how liquidy it is compared to other thicker foundations.

Great all around foundation

Even if you have dry skin, this is still a good foundation to keep in your arsenal because it’s mad but it’s not overly drying and it doesn’t emphasize texture or pores .

i love it but oxidized so bad , it turned ORANGE . Maybe go down a couple shades idk even some lighter ones oxidized orange :(

Blurring

I have combo skin, this foundation is actually very blurring, it can be drying but it’s matte. You need a good moisturizer. But it’s flawless on

Hated this foundation, which felt super heavy and made me look like a corpse. Accentuated every fine line and pore. Didn’t work for me at all.

Horrible. It accentuates dry patches I don't even have. My skin is very oily and my face was shiny after about an hour of wear. It also felt very heavy. Coverage is good though. I found the shade to be a bit too light for to Pass.

Not for everyday wear, but good for photography

It photographs well, but it looks so dry on my skin in person, kind of looks like cake makeup- it just sits on your face, and augments pores and those fuzzy tiny face hairs. If you need to be photographed or on camera, or perhaps even a stage performer, it will work well to keep shine down while also giving coverage/providing a base for transformation makeup. However, I will buy something else more natural for everyday wear that looks better on skin close up, in person.

I love this product it’s super natural, lasts all day, and still stay on after a swim. I got this product a couple times already and one lasts a long time. The only flaw is that if you don’t blend quick enough it’ll leave patches or streaks. And last thing I hate the packaging so much. its so messy and no matter how hard I try to keep it from going everywhere in my makeup bag and other makeup it just doesn’t work. A pump would be great or any other packaging that won’t squirt out excess...

Super not happy was recommended by one of the staff. It's terrible, my skin has broke out its dry and cakes. Goes into my fine lines making me look older then I am. The color match was wrong. I have been pretty upset with my last few purchases and since I did not make it back in time because I was away I can't get a refund or exchange. Very disappointing experience!

If you have oily skin, this is a MUST! This foundation provides a matte finish without any cakey, dry texture that some matte foundations can give. I use this with the one size setting spray and my makeup will not budge in the summer!

Streaky and Transferrable

I love all things NARS but this. The foundation is streaky and transferable. After a few hours the foundation breaks down and you can see everything you tried to cover. Use another foundation product from NARS or another line if you want naturally looking skin with medium to full coverage..

Amazing matte full coverage foundation. This foundation is the one you reach for when you are going to be out all day and all night and need something to last. I also find it hard to find foundations with pink undertones and this has them!

Possibly the best foundation I’ve ever used. I only need a pea sized amount and I’m good to go! No concealer required. I have combination skin; this layers well on top my skin care products; does not pill and lasts all day. It looks phenomenal in pictures too! Can’t wait to repurchase!

Dissappointed

I loved this foundation when I tested it at the store. The texture is very smoothing, lightweight, and quite unique. However, I later found out that blending it all over my face was a different story. It just felt like it wasn’t gripping to my skin. After a few hours, it cling to every single dry patch and was literally melting off my face. Complete fail. my skin

I don't get the people who complained about this foundation, do they not moisturize and prime their face before?? If you actually know how to prep your skin before applying makeup, it's a very beautiful foundation!

This is awful for my large poors and combination skin. it oxidized to be 4-8 shades darker, depending on the setting spray. but always at least 4 shades darker without setting spray. it sits in fine lines and wrinkles. it reminds me of old types of foundation circa 1990. cakey and covered you will be - had to go back to ol faithful Estee Lauder double wear. NEVER FAILS ME

Too dry. I have oily face and i was excited about that matte foundation but it’s too dry for me. Unable to blend perfectly with other makeup up.

Loved how full coverage this is, a little does go a long way and it looks so nice freshly applied. However it does look cakey if you’re an oily girl. I’ve had to use a primer and setting spray, and bc of how thick gbs is, it look cakey.

I like to put two dots on each side, I use a foundation brush, and then a sponge afterwards. Once I’m done applying my make up I spray MAC Fix poise and my foundation looks amazing!!! Looks natural!

Needs more shades

I tried this foundation and absolutely loved it. However, there is a strong need for more shades. I had to return because I need a shade between Barcelona and Valencia.

I have worn blush by NARS for years but never tried the foundation until MAC altered their Studio Fix Fluid. I have super oily skin and so far, I am loving the NARS Soft Matte Foundation. I was NC 38 in the original MAC Studio Fix Fluid, and, in the NARS Soft Matte, I am in the shade Valencia. This foundation is also two dollars cheaper, and you get more product. My new foundation

I’m a 63 yr old woman with oily skin. I love this foundation. It goes on velvety and gives perfectly smooth full coverage. It dries down quickly so I apply it in sections. I was using EL DW but they changed the formula and it doesn’t give the same coverage as before. Enjoying this foundation tremendously.

I love the coverage on this foundation, it’s got a beautiful finish, but after awhile throughout the day it starts separating.. not sure if it’s my prep, or maybe the powder I use? 😫

this is the perfect matte foundation it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and so matte. I wish it had SPF however I use SPF before it, the foundation itself is excellent quality and a perfect match finish!!!

Mars was not for me … I’ve tried 6 different shades and was not able to find the perfect match. I do have very oily skin so I thought this would be a perfect match unfortunately this was not the case. Nara soft matte left my face looking grey in photos and out side with natural lighting no matter what shade I used. All my girls love this foundation but she was not for me

Only works for a warm dry climate, not humidity.

What a weird formula. I have combination skin and the nars natural radiant longwear has been my go to for years. I recently realized I needed something a little more matte for the warmer more humid months so I decided to try this one. Absolute fail for a humid climate. I actually wore this on a trip to Asia recently because I got a sample and it worked perfectly fine there. No issues because the place I was in wasn’t humid, it was a warm dry place so this foundation looked beautiful there....

A must have in my routine

This foundation has become a staple in my makeup routine. In the past, I was using another foundation for 5+ years and this is the only foundation that has made me switch foundation. I love it! It’s full coverage but at the same time it does not look cakey!

I been using this foundation for 8 months straight .. I love it ,,, This foundation is my fav .. I have super oily skin and only this foundation stays on my face whole 8 hrs straight .. even after 8 hrs my face still looks perfect ❤️

Not for dry skin!

If you have dry skin this is not for you. I wore a little on my chin and immediately broke out the next day. It says soft matte but feels very matte on my skin. Maybe if you do some intense skin prep before but I don't think it's worth it.

It was just ok.

This foundation has great coverage. However, I had challenges finding a match. I used Macao, which was too deep and red. I then tried Caracas, which seemed ok at first but then oxidized and looked red on me. It also looked cakey and did not stay matte.

Um YES

I can never find my shade or anything that covers my melasma until now! It makes my face tone even and natural while hiding the big imperfections. I’m sure it’s not for everyone but perfect for me.

Full coverage, blends well with other products and maintains its cool (no oxidizing). But this receives 3/5 because it continuously gets pushed as something the oily clients should use. This is not oily face friendly. You will be embarrassed.

NOT matte! SUPER shiny!!

I do love the color, texture and coverage but for a “matte” foundation, I’ve never had to blot any other foundation this much! Even my husband asked why my face was so shiny. Returning asap.

Please Improve Shade Range

I’m not sure why the shade range isn’t as extensive as other brands such as Sephora collection, or R.E.M beauty. Macao is my perfect skin shade but the wrong undertone. I need it in a neutral undertone.! Please improve the shade range and make more neutral undertones. I love this foundation, once I figured out its trick! With me, I needed to for sure use a primer, I'm using the IT Cosmetics Hello Sunscreen, and no setting powder. Adding the primer and not using a setting powder helped tremendously! I almost returned it because the foundation didn't want to sit on my face right and was blotchy. Matte All Day

If you are an oily skin sufferer then look no further. The tiniest bit goes a really long way so it will last you forever. I can sweat and really work up a sweat like gym sweat and still be amazingly matte with this magical potion. I haven't found anything quite like it. I keep this and go back to it even when I find other ones I like. When I need to be sure to be shine free this has to be the one.

Great for a soft matte formula

Formula is beautiful but it def is a Matte foundation, so can be drying if you use too much or have fine lines. Really amazing coverage and beautiful soft matte finish. Pretty comfortable. I have trouble finding a good color match for my light neutral skin

Base oil under and you have ALL DAY perfection!

I wear Stromboli over my Korres Velvet Skin Drink oil and it blends PERFECTLY! This product lasts ALL day and covers my slight case of malasma. Without my base oil for moisture, it does look more dry throughout the day. Highly recommend a base oil

Better than expected. The IQ match gave me a different color for this than it did for the non-matte nars foundation I was using and I was skeptical. But it was a perfect match. It is matte without being drying and does wonders for my oily skin!

I love this brand! This foundation is full coverage and that’s what you get! If you can’t take the cakey look and you’re are a dry combo person add a lotion to face before using.

Not for me

I first got the Olso color from NARS my boyfriend said it made me too pale. When I retuned it the person who helped me recommended this and made me look more yellow like a traffic light. When I returned it was leaking out of the packaging.

I really wanted to love this foundation but no matter how hard I tried (different primers and skin prep) it settled into my fine lines and pores. It also broke apart around my nose and mouth.

To be matte it sure made me more oily and that’s w good skin prep. It also emphasized texture and looked cakey and dry around my mouth.

A Sephora employee recommended this to me for my oily skin but unfortunately no matter how much skin prep, or primers I used this one would break apart and settle in lines and pores, NARS is amazing but this was not.

Best NARS Matte

I rotate my foundations daily, but I reach for my matte foundations the most. This has a super fast dry down so you have to work quickly, but you’re rewarded with full coverage finish that lasts all day. It does oxidize a little bit, so I would definitely select a shade lighter . 

A real standout!

I must admit, I didn't expect to like this foundation that much. I have dry, mature skin and was looking for something to give me that flawless look and cover my texture. This stuff is amazing! It covered everything without looking dry or cakey! It is definitely full coverage, but it's my favorite Nars foundation now!

The best foundation I've used

I've been wanting to try this foundation for a long time, but was iffy about it due to some negative reviews. Went ahead and bought it and I love it! I've tried other 'Matte' foundations that wouldn't blend well, left my skin looking patchy or had my skin looking oily within hours. But, this foundation is actually matte, blends out really well, it's buildable and it actually stays put for hours! didn't work for me, not long lasting

this foundation looks great when i first put it on, flawless, don't need much product for full coverage, blends so well. But then about 5 hours later it cracked and slid and settled in my fine lines no matter what I did. I tried a few primers and setting sprays, but it still didn't do it for me. I would avoid this one if you have oily wrinkly skin. I think normal skin for younger folks this could work.

Full coverage pore flaunter

Combo girlies- this is not a product for us. It was full coverage, which was amazing, but the matte made every pore show up. So if you are looking for a matte, full coverage foundation- this is it! Also the yellow was strong in this one so make sure you are color matching correctly

I’m an oily gal so hear me out. You MUST use a matte primer with this foundation, specifically the matte primer from NARS. You also should use the matte pro powder from nars on top of the foundation.

Victim of the hype

I don’t usually write reviews but. This was so bad 😩 it made me look extremely greasy and was so patchy around my chin area. I returned it and got Estée Lauder instead.

I liked how it looked on. My only thing is it separates at your chin and nose area. NOT for anyone who might encounter any dry skin!

A definite miss.

Disappointing. Full coverage yes but lasting the full day. Just looked at it now and even setting it well, areas of my face are patchy. If you have combination skin, try Dior Matte foundation. I think I’ll be going back to that one.

I Have oily skin and was really shocked that I love this foundation! It applies beautifully on my skin, it doesn’t separate nor does it get patchy. I would say this one is definitely in my top 5.

Love NARS but this is a miss

Understanding how to apply this is the first step, directions are listed but it’s not easy and definitely not for your everyday morning routine. It could be me but after a couple hours it clings to every pore on my face?!? It’s like looking at the moon and you want to avoid all close ups!

I didn’t really enjoy this product. The shade was perfect for me out of the bottle but then oxidized to a very orange color. It’s a very liquidy formula, but dries down super quickly though It wasn’t too drying. It is VERY matte, full coverage and not too heavy feeling. It covered up redness and acne scars very well but It looked very cakey in areas like my nose and chin. I feel like people who love matte full coverage foundations may like this but it definitely wasn’t my cup of tea

Not for the Oily Skinned!

Cons: - Separated on chin and nose - NOT transfer proof (even though it’s marketed as such on the Sephora website) - NOT mattifying on oily skin I can’t see this foundation working for anyone with an oily complexion. This MIGHT work better for those with normal/dry skin?? However, if you’re an oily individual looking for a high coverage, long wearing, matte foundation…this is NOT it. Really disappointing considering how expensive this foundation is.

This is the best matte foundation I've tried. I've worn Fenty and Too Faced Born This Way Matte, but this has been the best out of those two. This lasts all day for me. I've worn it during a full day of work and while I was sweating, and it held up so well.

Prep is KEY

I read some other negative reviews and just wanna say that I think prepping the skin for makeup is the most important part of longevity of foundation as well as setting it. I've worn this for almost 24 hours multiple days where I did not touch up at all and was running around sweating and my makeup looked even better at the end of the night when i went to remove it than when I first applied it. It’s not bad but it’s not amazing. It looks really nice and smooth upon application and for the first few hours. But after a few hours it definitely looks greasy, shiny and extenuates your texture and pores. My drugstore foundations perform better than this, I wouldn’t repurchase

If you're looking for matte, and lightweight.

Just used up my first full bottle, going back for my second. I've never had a shade match so perfect! I'm combo with a bit on the oily side. I saw some comments that in the winter the shade is off, and it is. I almost got a shade lighter but in the summer you're just gonna run into the same problem. I saw a hack online you can just use mixing pigment to lighten/darken your foundation if you need to! I'm gonna try that for $8-$10 instead of another $40. Wears like a dream, not heavy for cakey...

Alomost perfect

The color works,it is a tad off and may not work as winter deepens. I find it easiest to apply with fingers then buff with a brush so there are no creases in wrinkles and fine lines. The coverage is good. What does not work well is pores. Over some pore blurring products this just slides off oddly. It really must be buffed into imperfections and a translucent powder applied to finish.

I really wanted to love this but i was dissapointed. I have oily combo skin and this foundation was drying on me. There was nothing soft about this matte! Honestly I feel like the natural radiant foundation might be more of a true soft matte than this one. Didn’t hate it, it was just a little too heavy for my liking.

Save your money on this foundation.I read the reviews on here and ignored the bad ones because I actually had high hopes for this foundation since I’m an oily girl. I tried this in 3 shades because they run light. I am NC15-20 Y225/1Y08 fenty140 Armani 4 ABH160c Chanel BD21 . I did a review for 3.5 and 3 and I found them to be a bit light for me. I think 4 Deauville is the best match!! this paired with Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base is the best combo I've ever tried!!! it needs that extra hydrated primer so it can melt and go on top of it smoothly. lasts all day and looks so nice and blurred.

I am NC15 Y225 Fenty140 UD 30CG. I use this in 3 Gobi but it's slightly pale so I add 3.5 Saltzberg. I buy 2 for my perfect shade is how much I love this foundation. its skinlike and great over pores. longwearing and comfortable on the skin. its a big size for the price.

Stays in place and matte all day!

I tried this before but didn't like it because I don't typically wear full coverage foundations. I decided to try it again and I'm so happy I did. I have very oily skin and I love this foundation. It is full coverage and it's very matte which is what I need. It doesn't move around and its become my favorite foundation. I didn't like my other two foundations after wearing this. The color match is pretty good. I wear New Caledonia. I just wish it was more neutral.

Great Formula/Change Packaging

I love the formula it is full coverage but yes you have to prep well if you have dry skin it will stick to everything. Can we PLEASE UPDATE the packaging though? It continues to come out with the cap on and wastes a lot of product. I tried laying it on its side inside of upside down and same issue.

Lived up to the hype

I have very oily skin so when I say this delivered, I really mean it. (even on the day I forgot the primer). I test drove it during a 4 day trip that had no time to reapply or do much retouching. It lasted all day and still looked good. What I don't love is how thick it is. Normally wear Hourglass Immaculate which goes on like silk but it does not mattify like this stuff. It also dries fast, so use a small amount on each section and the blend with a foundation brush for optimal effect....

I love this foundation! This is my current holy grail product. I have extremely oily skin, but for some reason, this works out great!

AMAZING at first, will reapply

I LOVED how this foundation looked on my face for the first 2 hours. Unfortunately because of my very oily skin, it separated. However, it is worth a try and I will try again with a primer. If all else fails, I'd reapply. I'm a huge fan and would do anything to keep it looking fresh for my unique skin type.

Horrible foundation.

This is one of the worst foundations I’ve ever tried. It was very dry and cakey and made my skin flake. Also it was way too pale, made me look like a ghost. But the next shade up was orange. I had to return it.

My favorite matte foundation!

I am so happy this shade exists! Patagonia is a perfect match for me. If only they had this shade available in stores. Regardless, I love the soft matte and the anti-oxidation formula in this. I will buy it again.

A HOT Mess!

I received this product, unscrewed the bottle, and it wasted EVERYWHERE! AM I CRAZY, or isn't there supposed to be a squeeze top on this bottle?!? It's bad enough it didn't come sealed like things normally do from other shippers I receive things from. I need to find the closest Sephora and return this ASAP!!! I don't even want to try it anymore. Much too expensive to have mishaps like this.

Great foundation for my needs.

Seriously impressed with this formula. Because of the full coverage I use very little and it covers everything I want so nicely, I don't need concealer and I even tried it without powder. It's held up all day and my skin looks so radiant. I experienced no caking, no settling in lines, nothing. I've used Nars foundations over the years and took a break from them, but I am so glad I came back and tried this formula. I will be buying again!

Not for oily skin

This matches my skin perfectly but this isn’t made for oily skin at all! The level of oil and grease produced from my skin made me look like I had been working or running outside by the end of the day even when I used setting powder! Geared towards my dry skin beauties!

Packaging is leaky

I like this foundation, however, my only complaint is the packaging. It has a screw on lid and the foundation seeps out the sides and it gets EVERYWHERE. Nars- please fix this

Maybe I got a bad batch, this my second time buying the soft matte , the first time I brought it , it was good but the shade was wrong , so now I ordered the right shade but it creases and it just doesn’t look good, I’m not giving this foundation another chance anymore

I found the one!!

Has become my absolute favorite. Blends out great, and last all day. It does transfer, maybe Idk what I'm doing since I'm a novice, but she's still my first choice.

Mature Skin Certified!

I thought I would like this foundation. It's very dewy on me. I'm glad I tried it though.

I am an oily girl. I have tried EVERYTHING. 18 hours into first wear and my face has just a touch of oil on the nose. Makeup hasn’t moved. I’m literally shocked.

I absolutely love this product! It’s amazing, so matte, stayed on for a long time (maybe it’s just my powder or setting spray.) I wouldn’t recommend matte products if you have dry skin though.

One of the best number 1 foundation for my face I can keep it intact for 24 hours without any problem, of course, with a good routine it looks super natural, it's not heavy, you don't even feel like you're wearing makeup, it doesn't transfer to your clothes

Best foundation on the market!

I love this product so much! It is the only foundation I use on myself and all of my clients. Extremely full coverage, extremely long wearing, would most likely last through an apocalypse. I have repurchased at least 6 times because it looks so gorgeous.

My Perfect Matte Foundation

I was always curious to try out Nars foundation and am a semi matte lover. I really fell in love with this foundation. It has the perfect coverage, I can build it up on a night out, and have worn my foundation in the gym several times to test it out during HIIT/ weight lifting workouts and I look fresh as ever. I barely have to retouch through out the day and feels really light wearing it as well. Love it!!!

My holy grail foundation

One of my all time favorite foundations, it leaves a stunning matte finish, full coverage, lovely texture, lasts all day, color is perfect, blends wonderfully, it is truly my holy grail foundation.

I wanted to love this foundation so bad. I’ve switched up skin care products, setting powders, setting sprays, and even primer in hopes this would look as great on me as it does on everyone else. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin for being basically full coverage and the finish when you first apply it is beautiful. However, it doesn’t hold up very well throughout the day. It starts to melt off my face the by 4th hour and it looks super, super oily. Sadly it’s not for me.
