The Nars matte foundation is very lightweight and leaves a very natural, and smooth look on my face. It’s been very easy to apply, and works well with my other products. It stays on all night and doesn’t budge. I would recommend!

A flawless coverage must have foundation

The foundation of my dreams. I love the concealer so much I had very high expectations for the foundation. It blends like a dream and gives amazing and buildable coverage. I don’t know what I was doing before using this foundation!

Hands down the best foundation I have ever tried! It feels very lightweight on my skin and it’s very easy to blend and use. A little bit of product does go a long way so I recommend not using too much at once. It’s very buildable, would definitely recommend!

Pretty good foundation

I do love this foundation! It is a matte finish so if your a girly that loves that matte full coverage makeup this is for you!! It was a tad bit dark but it still match my skin well, it blended into my skin so well and it was VERY FULL COVERAGE!!! If you love that full coverage matte look, this foundation is for you!!

Mid at best

The color match was insanely perfect and I really love the feel when applying. It covers well while feeling “like skin.” But the longevity just didn’t hold up. Before my 8 hour office shift ends, it’s patchy, sunken into pores and lines, and red peeking through in the t zone. Not worth the money.

Flawless skin every day

I tried the NARS Longwear Foundation and loved how flawless my skin looked all day. It gives solid coverage but still feels lightweight and comfortable, with no caking or creasing. By the end of the day, it still looked fresh and natural.

This is a good foundation, it has good coverage. It is quite dense. I have the second shade and it suits me in principle. However, I have a reservation about dry skin. It will not suit you if you have dry or very dry skin. It is more suitable for oily and combination skin.

I finally got my hands on this drop, but unfortunately, the foundation looks a bit more warm a.k.a. orange. But . It is winter so I’m gonna retry the new Calcedonia shade when it gets warm or when I possibly have have a tan so we will wait and see

New favorite foundation

I recently received this and I was super exited to try it out, I’ve never used nars, and im blown away! This foundation covered and worked well with my other products. And this lasted all day as well!

This foundation works exceptionally well on combination skin, but it doesn’t help control oil production after four hours. However, it blends seamlessly with powder, so controlling oil production isn’t a major concern. The shades are true to the swatch, and it works well with other formulas. Overall, it’s a great full coverage semi-matte foundation!

So I was eager to try this product. So I tried it on unprimed skin to really test how the foundation will hold up. Oily skin approved

First off, the coverage is chef’s kiss. It’s definitely full coverage, but it doesn’t look heavy or cakey on my skin. I can cover dark spots and redness without needing a ton of product, and it still somehow looks like real skin instead of a flat mask. A little really does go a long way, so one pump is usually enough for my whole face. The soft matte finish keeps my combo/oily skin looking smooth, and it holds up really well throughout the day with only a little shine in my T-zone.

This is an excellent foundation. I absolutely love the coverage on my skin. It sits so beautifully. The glow is so radiant. I love using this foundation. My skin looks radiant and all my pores are hidden! I love this brand so much.

I love NARS products so I was excited to try this foundation in shade “ Mont Blanc”. This formula is extremely light, medium coverage, and I love that it helps blur my oil skin(especially my T zone). I also like that it isn’t drying! This shade is perfect for my skin during these winter months.

A thick formula I ususally test it comparing how much my freckles show. It lasts great just had to make sure I didn’t break it down with my skin care routine and double wash after. Too Orange…

I love the way this sits on my skin and it truly is a beautiful foundation. I have oily textured skin and it looks amazing. However I can’t wear it because it’s too orange for my pale skin and this is the lightest shade.

What a perfect foundation it doesn't make me look cakey and it blends into my skin perfectly. I have a dark spot on my left cheek and it really does cover it flawlessly.

I’ve always admired Nars but just don’t think it goes with my skin. I’m so up in the air with it. I feel it doesn’t melt into my skin like it should but do believe it gives good coverage. Maybe I’m just a Dior girl all the way through.

I was the biggest NARS fan, until now. NARS was one of the few big names holding it down for cruelty-free beauty. Those were the days. I went online recently, browsing for new products and what do I find? New formulas, a not so new parent company, and a heartbreak spiral I did not sign up for. Let’s keep the bar high, people and jump even higher!

New fav purchase!

Recently purchased and absolutely loving it everytime I’ve applied so far. It’s lasted hours, even on really hot days, but feels like there’s barely anything on. Very easy to apply and blends so beautifully.

This is a staple in my makeup routine. It covers extremely well. When set properly I’ve worn for over 13 hours in southern summer heat. I will repurchase although I’m a Mac Girlie. I love the Sephora employee who not only suggested but color matched me properly.

Leaves A Lot to be Desired

I love the initial coverage and color match. Unfortunately, this formula just sits on my skin and never meshes. It wipes off without ever actually trying to. It transferred terribly and ended up so patchy on me by the end of the day, or what even stayed on should I say. I tried for a full week, using different techniques, products to help it stay in place, spent even more money just to be able to use the formula. Will be returning.

A miss for me

I reeeaaaaally really wanted to like this foundation. I find that no matter what I do I end up with patches of coverage and the product ends up settling into every tiny crevice of my skin. I've tried changing up my skin prep, changing my primer, using with powder and without, and I always end up feeling ugly with this one. Unfortunately just couldn't get it to work for me.

Beautiful coverage and is very buildable. Loved the packaging and glass bottle. The only downside was it was really hard to find the perfect shade match.

So soft and beautiful - even for an oily girl

It’s so beautiful. I love the coverage, the wear time and it’s so soft and comfortable. It needs to be set, it feels sticky otherwise. I didn’t give five stars because shade matching is a nightmare, but I was between Syracuse and Tahoe.

Beautiful, but runs HELLAAAA Orange!!!

I really love the coverage as well as the finish on this foundation, is beautifulllll. My only issue is, it runs so orange. This is a problem my fellow black and brown girls have with many foundations, so i’d suggest being hyper aware when shade testing and making sure it’s not too orange. I’ve tried 3 shades (Syracuse, Huahine, and now Aruba) which were all ORANGE, but Aruba so far is the closest i’ve gotten to my actual shade and accurate undertone. It has an absolutely stunning finish, the only thing is that after you have it on for a while it starts having heavy on the skin, which is something that I don’t like but other than that its a really good foundation if you want full coverage

A sad no go

I used to LOVE NARS.. only thing I changed up in both my make up and skin routine was this foundation and it barely lasted 3 hours. It pilled and separated like crazy. I wanted to like it SO bad because it was a PERFECT shade match. I tried it out two days in a row, and I was 0 for 2. Had to return.

becoming a staple foundation

I switch off with this and the It cosmetics cc cream. I really love this foundation though for my mature skin. it's super moisturizing and just glides on my skin like cream and stays on all day. I highly recommend!

I tried this in store and I love the formula. I just wish they made it in 1.5 Yulong like they do the light reflecting foundation. Mont Blanc is too dark for me. I love the light reflecting and I’d love to have this one too if it came in my color.

Best full coverage for darker, uneven complexion

I have medium tan skin, acne prone and also prone to hyperpigmentation. This foundation goes on so easily with a damp sponge and provides the full coverage I was look for to even my skin tone without looking or feeling cakey!

Wanted to love it

I really wanted to love this foundation, but unfortunately, it just didn’t apply well on my skin. I have dry, textured skin with some fine lines and wrinkles, and this formula didn’t sit the way I hoped it would. It lacked the coverage I needed and ended up settling into lines, which emphasized the texture even more. It might work better for someone with smoother or more balanced skin, but sadly, it wasn’t a good match for me.

I found gobi to be my perfect shade. Good for people with a fair/light/olive undertone. Great full coverage. Although it started to settle really bad in my smile lines and looked really patchy. With or without primer. And worst of all it gave me really bad acne!

As a makeup artist, finding a foundation that works for a multitude of skin textures and tones is a must. I love this foundation, and I'll continue to purchase it. I use the Nars concealer in Custard and was recommended to try the shade Patagonia in this foundation. I found it to be slightly too orange on my Asian skin, so I exchanged it for shade Vallauris (which has cool undertones) and it is the PERFECT match. In terms of formula, I wanted something more medium coverage for my combination skin (skews oily) that wasn't too matte or too dewy. This is my holy grail. I have sahara desert dry skin so it’s incredibly hard to find something that doesn’t get too caky but still has coverage. A tip is to use this with the laura mercier powder and the benefit professional setting spray. I constantly get compliments on my base due to this lethal combo

This is the most expensive foundation I've purchased and also the worst...it settles into skin texture in a way that makes my skin look dry and flaky even when it's not and accentuates fine lines and pores. I also got color matched in a store and ended up with a cool tone that looks grey on my olive skin.

When you first apply the foundation it looks great but after two hours it would make my pores look really large and my face would break out!!! Also it gave me fungal acne which I never had in my life.

Incredible! Definitely wearing during the summer

I have dry skin so I wasn’t sure how this would work for me but I tried it out today and WOW! I went to the gym so I threw on some foundation to see how it would fair during two hours of intensive exercise, I was surprised to learn it worked! My makeup looksd really good after, which is rare for me. For dry skin people I recommend applying it then spraying your face with the CT mist.

Best foundation

I love it !! It stays on all night, covers very well, I have some pimples and after wearing the foundation you could barely see them. Also it’s perfect color for people with clear skin but not so clear. Someone I know used the same one the Patagonia and the color didn’t fit with her skin tone it turned out kind of orange and she has a very white skin. So make sure to take it if you have like the same skin tone as me.

I’ve worn this foundation a couple times over a 2 year span and have tried to like it but I honestly hate it. It’s SUPER matte and thick, hard to blend with a sponge, brush is better. I also have very dry skin and it clings to dry patches, and settles in my smile lines and makes my face look so dull, and dry. Like I’m in desperate need for hydration. I was hoping you love this foundation since the colour is a great match. I have combination skin and in any dry spots where my skin is flaky, despite hydrating and mositurizing, this foundation is unforgiving in emphasizing any skin that’s bumpy. I didn’t find it worked well for my acne pitted scarred skin, but it has a nice light powdery finish. Truky matte.

Perfect full coverage foundation. It lasts all night. It will get cakey if your skin is dry but overall it’s nice. The neutral color has yellow undertones so it wasn’t the best color for me

great foundation for oily/acne prone skin

This product is my favorite foundation ever. i’m not being dramatic but when i tell you i have tried every foundation drugstore/high end products… this is the only thing that lasts all day and does great on my skin and does not break me out.

I’ve been using the NARS Foundation for a while now, and it’s truly been a game-changer for my dry skin. The formula provides excellent coverage while keeping my skin hydrated and looking radiant. This is my third bottle, and I’ll definitely continue to repurchase it. Highly recommend!

Can't Live Without!

This is my perfect match in foundations. I have dry, fair, cool toned skin and this works perfect on it everytime. I do find that I like the finish of this foundation better if I begin the application with my fingers and then tap in with a brush at the end. This has a beautiful satin finish that gives me that perfect glow from within without looking shiny or sweaty.

I will be returning, it simply does not stay on my face. It gets on all of my clothes even if I set it, it comes off almost instantly if you scratch your face. I like the non radiant one better I think.

It’s a grey foundation very high coverage and looks gorgeous on the skin, it doesn’t cake like other foundations I’ve tried and it’s not too matte. The downside is it does not last! Within 4 hours you will have nothing but concelae on your face. seems like a waste for such an expensive foundation.

Not good for covering acne

Its high coverage but quite drying, if you have acne and want high coverage to “cover it up” please dont buy this!!! It definitely highlights everything and things you didnt even know were there were shown with this! Guys please buy something with medium coverage. And then the nars pit concealer is rlly good and helps!!

Decent coverage and wanted to love it but as many others have mentioned, it comes off easily and turns cakey quickly. At first, I thought it was an issue with my combination skin and/or primer- but after trying other foundations and combinations, I tried this one again but the issues persisted.

I’ve tried many different foundations from cheap to pricey. This is one of the worst foundations I’ve ever used. Even with really good primer, the coverage lasted about an hour before it completely wore off.

I am going with a different brand

Comes off on clothing. Have hugged friends and my foundation ends up on their clothes, so embarrassing! It is not a long wear foundation but why would it be, it rubs off on everything. I apply it in the morning and by the middle of the day it is worn off.

Depends on skin type

the first minute it goes on it looks flawless. However, as someone with combo skin, it sticks to all my slightly dry spots and emphasizes texture, but then also settles into the pores of my oily areas, looking like little tan colored dots all over my face. If you can get a sample and try that first, you can decided if it works with your skin chemistry

My holy grail foundation... 4 stars for the glass packaging. My cat knocked it off the shelf the same day I restocked and it shattered.

One of my Favorite foundations in my collection; Amazing if you have dry skin, and my skin tends to change with the weather, it goes from very dry to being more combination and this work for me either way; i love it and highly recommend it.

Astonishing results!!

I am astonished!! This is a gorgeous foundation that looks like skin but better!! It doesn’t streak or cake at all. I just returned from the gym — yes I work out in makeup and I sweat a ton. But this foundation did not budge, didn’t run onto my shirt with my sweat and still looks amazing!! I have been using acids and niacinamide to improve my skin, so I am a bid dry rn, but I don’t feel dry while wearing this. I’m now giving my skin a break from acids to bring back moisture and I am excited...

it’s okay

i really wanted to love this foundation, but we sadly don’t work. after about 4 hours into my shift, i noticed it peeling in my t-zone, especially my chin. a few hours later, i noticed more of it missing as my shift went on.

I have tried plenty of foundations and this beats every single one, it’s creamy, lightweight but at the same time so full coverage.

Greasy and not full coverage no matter the season

Makes me look extremely oily and not full coverage and by morning no coverage just greasy. My new bottle fell and broke I wasn’t even sad, went and got a bottle of Maybelline and compliments galore skin ever since the switch.

I used this foundation for the first time on my wedding day. Risky, I know. Absolutely incredible, I have combo skin and it was hydrating and full coverage, but not cakey or heavy. Loved it, and will definitely purchase this.

Im never going back. I used Charlotte Tilbury for a while but decided to try this on a whim. I’m in LOVE. It goes on beautifully, only needs one layer, and is the only foundation I’ve ever bought that matches right from the bottle.

This may be the worst foundation I ever used. It’s the worst for dry skin. It makes my skin flakey and peel. It cakes on. The color is way off. I’ve tried hydrating and switching back and forth to other concealers and no matter what it looks horrible.

Flawless Skin

I’ve been using NARS foundation for several years now. I’ve tried other brands of foundation but always come back to NARS. I get so many compliments on my skin when I’m wearing this foundation. I’m 57 years old, and I highly recommend this foundation to any woman my age!

Hard pass!! And I’m so surprised. This was awful! I’m very fair, but never the lightest shade. So I chose Mont Blanc, the second to lightest shade and it was soooo dark!!! Also this isn’t in the slightest bit radiant on me, and I have combination skin. It is matte and you can see my pores. I am returning. So disappointed.

Not my Shade

Instead of giving me my normal shade, the associate recommended this after testing my skin with the device they had. On trying it on, it looked lighter on me but the associate still maintained it was my shade. I looked white as a ghost wearing it.

Long wear,natural looking on textured skin

I am surprised at this foundation. It is light weight as you are applying, but the coverage is so good. I have dry skin. Looks natural and masks my textures. I have acne scars that it covers well even with a very thin layer I apply for everyday office wear. Looks very good at the end of the day.

My skin went from super dry to super oily within a few days recently, and this is the only foundation I’ve tried that will not move no matter what. Survived an impromptu workout, a messy greasydinner, and a solid nap with no transfer whatsoever.

I have been using this foundation for a while, and it has been great! I am oily and i do have to touch up throughout the day, but that’s not a deal breaker for me. I love the full coverage it gives. I do plan on buying another bottle when i run out of this one. The only problem i have with this foundation is that my nose can’t seem to keep the foundation on. I’ve tried different primers and the closest primer i’ve got to working is the Bobbi Brown primer.

I think the app is glitching but the shade I got is Gobi. I did a lot of research to find a light olive friendly foundation and the color is perfect!!! The finish is satin, like in between matte and hydrating. You should definitely try it

This foundation is beautiful and the coverage is amazing, but it gave me the worst breakout! I got cystic pimples all over my jaw line and tiny bumps along my jawline. I don’t recommend for acne-prone skin.

This foundation is a little misleading with the claims. I am combo skin type and right after I put it on, I had been resting my hand on my chin reading something on my computer and all of the foundation in that spot was gone. So I tested it further and lightly swiped my finger on my forehead and sure enough all the foundation that was there came off. I wanted to love this but I cannot make it work for my skin type. It goes on so flawlessly and looks like my skin but better, with a beautiful glow, however, it starts to look terrible as soon as I put setting powder on. Within hours it has separated in my t-zone and I end up looking like a greasy mess, despite using setting powder and setting spray. Lightweight, but covers my redness without masking my freckles. Beautiful skin-like finish. Great value as I find I have to use very little product. Cannot say enough good things!

Felt nice going on and had a nice formulation but I didn’t not find it to be long wearing or long lasting even with powder and setting spray.

I wanted to try a different matte, full coverage foundation, and purchased this one based on a recommendation from a staff member after giving her my parameters. I was disappointed with this foundation within minutes of applying it. It was very dull on the skin, rather than mattifying, and within an hour it had settled and caked in my smile lines. I’ve added this product to my kit as a freelance mua. That’s how good it is. Easy to blend. Full coverage. Great for dry / normal skin. Long wearing.

This product is perfect. It blends in well with my skin complexion and doesn't oxidize. I went to the Sephora store to get an in-person match and it is the best foundation, I have ever had.

I am a simple girl who wants to do her own makeup, but every time I use this foundation it looks cakey, peels, no matter how I prep the skin (skincare, primers, no primers etc) or if I use a brush or sponge, it doesn’t work for me. I give up.

I have been using this foundation for years. I’ve tried out a few different brands, but always end up back with NARS. It’s the perfect coverage for my skin type. I wear makeup to look natural, while enhancing my features. This has always been perfect for me and easy to apply lightly for daytime and slightly heavier for bigger events.

Burnt my face

Gave it a try bc everyone loves it and I’ve heard great things… I put it on and it literally burnt my face. My face was red stinging and hot for an hr after I took it off. I do have very sensitive skin but for a high end product I wasn’t expecting that thatexpecting

Absolutely gorgeous give me such beautiful coverage I wear it in my back home country it was really hot there but gives me really nice glow long lasting not to heavy on my skin

Had systemic reaction

I’m a true neutral and it looked jaundice on me when I I selected Gobi, after it was completely applied I began to feel sick and my chest and throat tightened up and broke out into hives. I wanted to love this but no matter what I wanted my body was allergic to something in this foundation.

Do not buy, not worth it.

This is the worst foundation, do not waste your money. Everytime I touch by face accidently or brush against my face with my hand the foundation comes off and stains everything I touch. Also, by the end of the day, it shows every crease and bump on your face, it almost as if it is melting off. I wish I returned it, what a waste of $68 for a crap foundation. Do not buy!!!

I been using this foundation for about 7 years now. No better foundation that gives me a more natural look than this. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny!

I love it I’m using this product for last 2 year I finally found a foundation that blows me away and I'm very picky with foundation! Stayed on all day while maintaining its color, very full coverage, covered redness, did not settle into dry spots or pores, and I did not get oily in my T zone. It's matte but does not look or feel dry. The shade mat.

Not for me

Might work for those with youthful skin, but I’m in my 30s so maybe that’s the issue. Found it to be TOO heavy on my skin. Cakey, strange consistency. I looked like a ghoul. Accentuated every pore, wouldn’t stay on (even with primer, setting spray, etc). Tried it a couple of times, it’s just a no-go for me.

This is really good but if your skin type changes with the season it might not be for you! My skin is combo and it makes it look either too oily or dry. It’s beautiful but after a while it can look a little odd.
