I was drawn to this product because I've been meaning to add more SPF to my routine and I've been wanting to find a BB cream for my "no makeup" makeup looks. I've been using this product for a couple months now. I have combination skin, so I get dry on my forehead and oily on my chin and nose. It's reaaaally light. I'm a fan of the texture! But it's a little cakey? If that makes sense. It's not a moisturizer that will absorb in your skin but a product that will leave a film after you put it...

not for dry sensitive skin girlies

Not my favorite skin tint. it blurs decently but as someone with sensitive skin this broke me out so bad i had a lot of tiny bumps on my face definitely irritated my face a lot too added redness but for me i think it pilled in certain spots which doesn’t happen to me often. not really my favorite tint not sure if this is a yes for my sensitive dry skin girlies.

For the ultimate my skin but better

This product is your perfect go-to for fast and easy mornings when you want your skin to look great but you don't want to do a full makeup routine. It glides so smoothly over your skin and a little goes a very long way. The medium matches me perfectly. The formula is matte so if you need more hydration then layer your moisturizer under it.

I have been wearing this for about 10 years and I will be so sad if they ever stop making this! It works great as a primer and it also looks good if you want light coverage during the day. Turned orange after a couple uses.

Texture is whipped, so it feels light and airy. One star because it oxidized after a couple of uses and looks orange on my skin. I like a sunkissed look, but this was not it.

My favorite for day to day wear

I don't like wearing a whole lot of makeup most days. This is my go-to for light coverage. It covers my imperfections enough to make me feel pretty when I don't feel like putting on a ton of makeup. Bonus SPF 30 because I live in a city that is super sunny year round.

Awesome product

Amazing product- blends seamlessly, color is perfect, and it feels like nothing is on. It covers and blurs my redness, acne scars, and anything else I’m trying to hide. Bonus: it survived a baseball tournament in Florida in July, keeping me shone free and looking good. A new staple for me!

This is the best foundation I have used. It feels light weight but has great coverage. It lasts all day and my skin looks flawless. I have probably gone through 8 tubes of this and will continue. I have tried many foundation and nothing comes close!

Truly unique product

I have tried dozens of tinted moisturizers and foundations: none are like this. This is a truly unique formulation. This is medium to FULL coverage. A little goes a very long way. Additionally, you’re going to want to make sure your skin is very well hydrated. With a hydrated skin and a tiny bit of this product, this truly will diffuse pores and lines.

This is my new go-to. Buildable coverage. Looks great on aged under eye. I prefer this over Yensa and It Cosmetics and even other Tarte foundations!

Must Try!

I can do between light and light-medium. I love the smoothness, and I do not need to re-apply. I can apply it with moisturizer or by itself; it doesn't look oily or dry. Definitely, must try it and will recommend it to family and friends.

You can build it to medium coverage. Helps with my oily skin & large pores. Smoothing & drys down after while. Bought this shade last summer too dark for winter, mix with moisturizer or sun screen to lighten.

A little hard to blend. You have to take your time with it. However it wears beautiful and matte. Can be worn as a foundation if you don’t have really problematic skin!

Tried and didn’t like

Used to use the Amazonian clay BB but the store didn’t carry it on the floor anymore so tried this. Got color matched and it ended up actually being too light. Don’t like the finish if shows every pore and looks powdery. Will not be buying again and found the old stuff on the website! So going back to that!

Had to Return!

This product was disappointing. It had a very strong chemical odor when it was first applied. Thankfully it dissipated after a few minutes. I felt heavy on the skin and oxidized after a few hours. It didn't work for me and I had to return.

Transformed my skin

Absolutely what I wanted

I was very skeptical of this item bc I've tried so many that didn't work. I'm 46 with mature skin with a pink skin tone. This goes on beautifully, it doesn't sink into creases and is very light and moisturizing. It looks incredibly natural and last for several hours with a setting spray.

Love love love this bb cream! I was looking for an easy foundation, and this is effortless. I barely feel it on my skin, and it really unify my skin. I don’t have a lot of imperfections, so I can’t talk about how good it is to hide them.

It’s okay

After using this over the last couple weeks it felt light and had a fluffy moose texture when applying but after it set it was very drying for my face I didn’t come to like it to much I have combination skin and it showed more lines for me that I didn’t get from other tinted bb cream I’ve stopped using it because it not for my skin type but I would say it would work well with those with more of a oily skin type it is very light and feels nice when it’s applied.

I've been using this product for at least 6 years. there's nothing else like it on the market that doesn't make my skin feel greasy, has a primer and skincare benefits and SPF! I wish the ingredients were cleaner and maybe that there was better packaging but right now there's nothing that beats this as a completion product for my sensitive combination skin. I will say that the staying power differs based on skincare and the sunscreen I use underneath.

Best EVER!!!!!

I have used since this came out probably 10-12 years. I love it. It lasts all day, never causes irritation, never makes my lines and wrinkles look worse. I am 72 and I hope Tarte always makes this!I will say the colors are fairly dark in this, I am a medium but wear fair in this. It is pretty sheer. I don't wear anything except blush with it.

Great for my acne-prone skin!

I LOVE this stuff! It applies beautifully, has a light-med coverage, and it feels great on the skin. Most importantly, this product (and a lot of tarte’s other products) don’t break my acne-prone skin out! I will buy this forever and ever!

I used to wear this alone on light makeup days, and now I mix it with my Fenty foundation and it’s perfect! I love my foundation, but the BB cream makes it a little more airy and easier to apply. Rstarts because when I wear it alone it doesn’t last long. Even when I set it.

Great Matte BB Cream!!

I've really struggled finding a natural matte finish base product for my acne prone skin. This looks sooo natural on the skin but isn't too oily! I would call the coverage light to medium but you can definitely build it in any areas you have more redness. It's become my holy grail product!!

I do not understand why this product isn’t talked about more, it’s a 10/10 for me. I’ve repurchased this 4 times now. I have cool-toned/oily/ textured skin and the shade Fair-Light matches my complexion perfectly and never looks orange or greasy. With a good setting spray and powder it lasts well past my 12+ hour shifts. Truly worth every penny. I wish Tarte would make the Fair-Light shade in the small size for travel.

Re-Buy!

I've re-purchased this twice now! It's pricey but it gives me a really natural finish. Easily blendable with beauty sponge. Never looked patchy or separated on my combo skin. It is a little heavier than a tinted moisturizer but less than a full foundation, coverage closer to a foundation but still light.

Good, but had a chalkier finish than I would want for a tinted moisturizer. The "Fair-to-light" shade is lighter/paler than other fair-to-light shades in other brands.

Great light coverage! I bought this bc they discontinued the Armani tinted moisturizer I loved, and this is honestly way better for my skin. I use a primer, this, and powder, and it’s the perfect no makeup makeup look

Solid BB cream for whatever the day holds

This was my first time spending more than $20 on some sort of BB/CC cream or foundation and this surprised me! Firstly, it felt so lightweight. It was easy to apply, it was light but provided decent coverage. Being in my 30s and starting to see more fine lines appear, this did a good job of smoothing and brightening up. Let's say that I was dong more than sitting in a zoom meeting and wanted to actually add a touch of foundation - layering was great and nothing got cakey.

I had been looking for something really lightweight but would give a light touch for early mornings. And this is IT! I teach fitness, and this is both breathable but doesn't sweat off. And LOVE the added SPF. 10/10.

LOVE non-comedogenic

This stuff is AMAZING. It passed my non-comedogenic ingredient app where you can copy & paste ingredients to see if it will clog your pores/safe for acne prone skin and it did not lie. I have oily combination skin and I LOVE this product, very matte when you put it on and pigmented but doesn’t clog pores. I usually wear this as a primer under foundation or by itself during work on the weekdays with some conceiler and bronzer

Loved the coverage and pigment. Felt light and blended really well. However I broke out with tiny little whiteheads so it clogged my pores.

Must have in my everyday life

I don’t use foundation, I only use tinted moisturizer and this is by far the best one I’ve tried. It feels super powdery and smooth. It feels like it’s oil based but was surprised that it wasn’t.

I have extremely sensitive skin. When my skin is flaring up and sensitive I use this as light coverage “foundation”. It’s one of the few products that doesn’t burn my face! Just be sure to moisturize first because it can emphasize dry spots.

Natural and easy, love it!

this is my HG, been using it off and on for several years and keep coming back to it. apply with hands and blend with beauty blender for light coverage that evens skin tone and improves skin texture. love that it has an SPF too. love for a natural and low effort look or with a concealer for more coverage/glam! paired with a setting powder and spray, I swear you can barely tell I have on makeup except my skin looks so much better!

This feels exactly like Tarte Amazonian Clay before they reformulated it. Love this and it’s not too thin or thick. Goes on skin so nicely.

Sunscreen I'm not allergic to

I have had an allergic reaction to many different kinds of sunscreen, from drugstore to high-end. This is literally the only one that does not cause that reaction! It's also a great "no-makeup makeup" base, giving a little light coverage without really looking like foundation. I asked a Sephora employee for color match assistance and she helped me find the perfect match.

Tried 3 shades, none worked

I’ve now tried 3 different shades because of all the rave reviews for this product, and I am supremely disappointed. The formula itself is great and I really, really wish it matched my skin tone, but after giving each of the three shades a few wears in different lighting, I’m tired of being embarrassed at how this product looks on me. Great product, but not for dry skin

This product is amazing, and I wanted to love it for my skin so bad!!! However, I have dry skin, and this is NOT good for that. It is very matte, and sticks to dry patches. It makes my dry face look even more dull and texturized, even tho it’s a pore minimizing product. If you don’t have a problem with dry skin, then it will be amazing. The velvety, moussey texture and light-med coverage is great! I wish they had a “dewy” or more luminous version, and I would hands down buy that.

I love the concept of this product, it’s light weight and low coverage which i love, plus it makes my skin feel so soft, but the lightest shade is so dark! I got the lightest because i’m very pale and it doesn’t look like what it shows in the photos. Easy and beautiful

I'm super-pleased with this product, which is my first tinted moisturizer. My skin feels much healthier since I started using it. It's easy to apply and gives a light and even finish. I shifted to this from pressed powder because I noticed that as I get older, the powder was settling into fine lines and aging me. I was concerned that the finish would be oily, but it's nice and matte--looks like powder but without the caking. Very satisfied.

Nice texture

Haven’t had a chance to experience the effectiveness of the spf 30 yet but love the coverage. It really has the lightest feel and blurs any imperfections. Looking forward to seeing if it protects my skin in the sun.

wanted this as a replacement for my foundation, since my skin is pretty even and i usually just stick to concealer in spots. this product did nothing at all for me. i saw no change in my skins appearance, and i didnt like the feel of the product. it felt heavy and weird, idk how to describe it. i didnt test how it worked just as a primer though, but i already have primers i like so i returned this.

I have used this lightweight tinted moisturizer fo years . I live in Florida so the humidity is high and I don't like heavy makeup. This BB cream goes to wet to powdery and gives nice coverage.

Love this product!

I have used 2-3 of these now and LOVE this product! It feels so soft on your skin and is a great base layer or to wear by its self for minimal coverage. It covers all my uneven skin tones and doesn't make me breakout. I use the light color but wish there was a color in between light and fair for winter.

LOVE for oily skin

I love this product! I’m very fair and the lightest shade works for me. Has enough coverage to even skin tone, I will just spot conceal on top. I would not recommend this for dry skin, it can stick to dry patches, but if you have oily skin and find that other SPF products make you super oily this will not do that, it even controls oil to an extent. It’a similar in texture to the benefit porefessional primer if you have tried that. I love this to use without foundation in summer!

Great for sensitive skin

I keep coming back to this BB. It doesn’t irritate my super sensitive eyes, it’s lightweight, I love the color, and it’s not greasy. Great for summer, but does show up on dry skin in winter. One thing that makes me a little crazy is it dispenses horribly, it’s nearly impossible for it not to go everywhere. Air gets caught in the tube and launches product in all directions. Rrrrrr.

This provides quite a bit of coverage, I almost never need to add any foundation on top of this, just some concealer in a few spots. It does have that matte primer type texting finish—so it’s perfect for humid summer but is too dry on me for winter. Good color match too. My summer go to!

ditched foundation

I was looking for something lighter that still offered some coverage for uneven coloring in my skin. This did the trick and I no longer use foundation on a daily basis. I’ll save foundation for special occasions. The fact that the texture feels like primer is what sets this apart from other tints. If you are oily, I recommend using a clay mask on your t-zone before wearing this. I have very oily skin and was initially worried this wouldn’t last on my skin but it did!

I found a new love

old 63 year old skin. I used tarte moisturizer, then applied this… I am lightly tanned, and this looked wrong, but turned out so right! I forgot how many time I’ve repurchased this. It is the perfect coverage. Like when you wake up and do your skin care and want to log good but don’t want to wear make up. This is what you need. It is so light that nobody will ever think you have make up on. Just that you have nice skin lol

I combine a bit of this primer with whatever Tarte foundation I choose to use each day - Amazonian clay, Maracuja hydrator, etc. It helps the foundation go on easier and it can alter the color to what I want. Just a bit of both on my finger, mix and apply. Sometimes I just use the primer.

Lightweight, almost primer like texture. It goes on smooth and provides even coverage. I really like it because it doesn’t leave a chalky white residue and doesn’t iriitate my super sensitive eyes. Bonus: it has sunscreen in!

Pure silk

I don’t often write reviews but Tarte’s BB cream is pure heaven on my skin. It spreads like non-greasy butter and feels like pure silk on my skin. The tint is light so it’s enough to create a smooth complexion but not so much as to appear you have makeup on. I was a dedicated Smashbox Camera Ready BB/CC cream user but could never find my shade in stock. Now I’m a Tarte convert.

Used this for 10+ years

So I’m so glad I’m not alone here but I’ve used this stuff for at least 10 years and have loved it. It matched my skin tone perfectly and I almost never had to wear foundation. Since the new packaging came out it’s been different. The tone and the wear. I never used to get oily and now I do. It doesn’t stay like it used to. I’m so sad and honestly so lost I don’t know what to switch to lol

New formula?

Did they change the formula? I absolutely LOVED this product. I recently opened a new tube and noticed this wasn’t staying on my skin the way it did previously. I chalked it up to using a different moisturizer. But now I’ve gone back to the old moisturizer and it’s no better. The packaging is slightly different, which makes me think it’s been revamped and I’m so disappointed. It’s now leaving an oily sheen and disappears.

Goes on nicely, provides nice, light coverage

I use this 'primer' as my foundation, because I don't like heavy coverage. It goes on light and mousse-like. I use only a very small amount, but it covers nicely. You can't tell I'm wearing any make-up but my skin looks smooth.

love even though they changed the light color

Badly oxidizes

I’ve tried at least 4 shades of this bb cream (I self-tan) and sadly they all oxidize real bad. When I first bought it a while back the light shade was perfect but I think they’ve changed either the color or formula because it does NOT match my face anymore. And I know how to color match myself perfectly. I loves this bb cream and the concept of it but I just can’t ignore how badly it oxidizes. I think I’ll be trying Rare beauty foundation instead

Does what it say without a white cast

Nice product: good coverage, no white cast like many mineral sunscreens, really nice 'slip' like a luxury primer, doesn't smell and is cruelty free. A bit limited in the shade category, but I got 2 colors, mixed them and have a perfect match. Can't say if it lasts 12 hours, but it seems to. I repurchase very few foundations, this is one.

This gets 3 stars because I appreciate the mineral spf coverage and the texture is nice. But this didn’t work for me at all. I have dry skin and this stuff clings to dry patches I didn’t know I had. It makes my dry skin look so much worse. I’ve tried it with every primer I have and it just looks bad. If you have oily skin this would probably be great. That said it’s absolutely not medium coverage, it’s very light, almost sheer.

Another staple of Tarte I can't live without. I just love this BB/primer for very natural coverage, will not cover your hyperpigmentation, but tones my rosacea. Non oily, non greasy, very nice finish. Simply tones your face with SPF 30 - fantastic!

Game changing - I used the tarte bb tinted moisturizer for a while but I would always end up way too oily, this is perfect, doesn't feel like makeup but looks amazing, has decent coverage and spf. I wear this alone or with a MAC powder on top and that's it.

I use this as foundation for when I get spray tans and it works perfectly! The product is lightweight but still has a full coverage effect. Blends very easily and doesn’t feel like makeup at all. It feels great on my skin and I love it. Will be getting another one in “Light.”

Formula change - went from HG to bummer

I am SO disappointed. This was my holy grail for many years and after waiting and waiting, writing Tarte to ask when product would be available (thinking pandemic was slowing restocking of inventory), I was able to purchase my favorite day-to-day BB cream to only be really disappointed that the formula and colors had changed. The Best BB Cream Out There

It blurs, but is sheer enough to look normal. I have really bad, cystic acne, and this is enough to make it look like I have naturally good skin. It also dries out my breakout and actually improves my skin, which is amazing. I travel a lot for work/school (I'm a field archaeologist/palaeontologist) and this has enough spf that I can wear it even at high altitudes and be good. Also, I'm ghost pale and the Fair is FINALLY pale enough for me. I will wear this stuff forever. Love.

I love this BB cream. I've dry skin and this BB cream does a great job retaining moisture. While my shade was unavailable, I tried a few different bb creams and nothing compared to this one. It's a medium coverage bb cream, which is good enough for me on a daily basis. Also, the spf is definitely a bonus.

This is supposed to be tinted sunscreen. I understand it's a BB cream also, but that is supposed to be light weight as well. This felt like full on foundation on my skin. "Light" is way darker with orange undertones

The "light" shade is totally different from the "light" shade in other Tarte foundations, and it looks nothing like in this product's pictures. Instead it's way darker, closer to the "medium," and it's orange like a bad fake tan. Great for first time Tinted Moisturizer

This was a great first tinted moisturizer. I found that it was incredibly useful for giving someone a light foundation while moisturizing. I would NOT recommend if you're looking to hide anything on your face (acne, freckles, blemishes, beauty marks, etc.)

Light is NOT light

I really like this product....BUT the shade "Light" is not light at all! Its pretty dark with more of an orange tone. I'm purchasing the Fair shade because I really do like the coverage and it does last a very long time. It also passed the office cry test, I shed a few tears the other day but no one knew and my makeup looked great!

Wow very nice BB. I used to use Bobbi Brown BB creme but they discontinued it. I've been shopping around and came upon Tarte. Nice natural matte finish. I'm very oily so I set it with my Bobbi Brown powder and looks good. This BB feels like a souffle and goes on so smoothly. I've found my new holy grail BB.

Too orange for me...

I really like the feel of this product on my face, feels light even though it has a mineral sunscreen in it. My biggest gripe is the colors , at least the light and medium are too orange for my cool/ neutral skin tone. Hope they come up with some new color choices. Otherwise I’d consider it perfect for my needs.

Great consistency, it makes using sunscreen more often easier. It has light coverage. I noticed that it did not need to be set with powder. The only thing that was a little frustrating for me about this product was the shade range. There are very few shade options and I found that the "fair" is too light while the "light" shade is too warm for my skin. I hope they make 20 or 30 more shades in the future because it is a good product.

True lasting primer

I have oily combination skin that can get sensitive at times due to stress or environment change. Most of the time my skin is very clean and clear due to yearly facials so I don't ever wear foundation. I wear this primer after I moisturize my face and its a very light coverage but is a great base layer for a powder. I wear a simple pressed powder over and my makeup will stay on perfectly all day. Too Heavy for Non-Foundation Wearers

I was excited to receive this product as I love the tarte products and I am not a huge foundation wearer. The reviews said this is perfect if you want to even out your face without the heaviness of a foundation. However, the product doesn't sit well on my skin and it feels silicon-like. It is heavier than I would like.

I used to be die hard for this primer before I explored more options - namely smash box primer. This Tarte one is good, overall- I love the fact that is has SPF in it and is tinted. As a BB cream it’s excellent, but I don’t feel that it does a great job of actually priming my face to help makeup last longer throughout the day.

Perfect for oily skin

I absolutely love this. It mattifies my oily skin and wears all day. I usually wear it with nothing but a little blush. It's not great sun protection in summer as it will sweat off, but it's my go-to unless I plan to be outside on a hot day. Drawbacks: I've found that putting powder on top of it makes it pill a bit. If you have naturally dry skin it might make your face look a bit chalky.

I no longer like the feel of makeup on my face. This product is light enough for me to be comfortable with it as it evens out my skin tone and adds moisture. It also seems to help eliminate "maskne".

Ugh, I wanted to love it. I will agree that the medium is not as dark as I thought it would be. Though-I’d be curious how the light looked. However, I won’t find out since it pills horribly over my Ordinary products. I really liked this as an alternative to foundation on days that I want lighter coverage. It has decent coverage although for being a “tinted treatment”. Only downside was that it magnified any dry spots- made my skin look extra dry in some areas. Defiantly a matte finish and texture.

Too orange!

I got this on the advice of a salesperson at Sephora a few months ago because I was running out of my regular Tarte BB cream, which was being discontinued. This was supposed to be the closest match to the light/medium shade I used in that product. Tried it and it looked absolutely horrible! Very orange tint to this.

I truly love this product! It is definitely has a matter finish and clears up my oily skin for the whole day. I started initially using it as just a primer underneath my full coverage makeup and now use it almost every day.

I really wanted to love this primer! It matched my summer skin perfectly and made my skin look so smooth. The coverage was spot on for a natural look. I wore this alone without any foundation. My all time favorite BB primer. The tint allows you to wear alone with a setting powder or spray for a light makeup look. Very smooth. Also love that it acts as a spf.

I have been in search of a BB cream to replace my Favorite from MAC. I really wanted this to work for me as the color is really nice but it caused me to break out. I do have very sensitive skin so unfortunately this wasn’t the product for me.

I love this tinted cream. I use it as a daily base for make-up and just cover with a light powder foundation. Gives a nice clear complexion that looks so natural. I also love the SPF coverage as I am very pale and it helps in the summer when out in the sun unexpectedly. Ive tried a few different (Cheaper) options throughout the years but I always come back to my old favorite! 100% worth the price. It does cling to any little dry patches you might have so make sure you exfoliate if you have any and stay moisturized! This is one of my all time favorite products. I wear this as a foundation because I prefer a sheer/lighter coverage product. I like this a lot, but it is more of a sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer than a primer. It is mattifying, which is great, as tinted moisturizers always make my skin too greasy.

I love this product, second time I've purchased it. This primer is super lightweight but gives enough coverage to hide any redness/spots. I tried the Laura Mercier primer (someone in the store recommended it) and returned it after a week and went back to this one! I ordered this product online and received it today. When I opened it and removed the seal at the top of the tube the product just gushed out all over my hands, wasting about 1/4 of the tube. If you’re going to buy this I would make sure to get it in store where you could possibly test the shades out before buying.

LOVE! I switched and bought the Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted moisturizer at the suggestion of a sales rep, and I was so disappointed. This particular Tarte product is the way to go. Makes almost all blemishes and facial redness disappear. I love that it has sunscreen as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I cannot live without this product in the summer. It is the holy grail of BBs! It glides on silky smooth like a dream, blurs imperfections, and has the additional benefit of sun protection. I use it alone over moisturizer on days I want a light makeup look, or I use it as a primer under foundation when I need more coverage. I’ve been looking for a good light coverage tint with sunscreen that blurs pores and fine lines. This does the trick. It goes on smooth. Doesn’t collect in my fine lines or dry spots (of which I have plenty). It just balances out my complexion enough for everyday use. It’s so easy to use and blends effortlessly. Holy grail BB cream!

I am beyond pleased with this BB cream, I wish I had discovered it sooner! Awesome BUT missing SOOOO many Shades

This product is awesome. But there are SOOOO many shades between fair and light. My skin gets very tan in the summer, and lightens up significantly in the winter. Neither of these is the perfect color at any point in the year, even at my extremes. That said, "light" still works for me better than "fair". I honestly don't know how could wear "fair" unless for costume makeup.

I was recommended this product while searching for a tinted moisturizer because Philosophy has discontinued theirs. After my first use I strongly considered returning because I hate the texture and feel of this product. However I have noticed that it stays in place all day which is rare as I have oily skin. This product has taken the place of three separate steps in my make up routine. I used to apply primer, liquid foundation, and a matte powder foundation. I found my skin was looking dry and cakey, so I decided to give this stuff a shot. I LOVE it! It goes on smooth and velvety and lasts all day. It is very buildable as well! Just a layer of this with a little bronzer and setting powder and I'm good to go! So thankful it's cut out some time from my morning routine!

A Daily Essential

I really like this products. As I have gotten older, my skin has gotten drier, so using this daily after moisturizer has worked well. The color stays put, looks natural and cancels out some of my redness. I work long hours and can’t manage a full-face look every day, but this stuff really helps me look healthy and put together. This is my go-to "foundation" for day-to-day wear. It feels super light, like silk, but definitely does not last all day. It does a great job of evening out my skin tone and moderately hides blemishes. I prefer it over the Supergoop BB cream.

I LOVE this BB primer. It’s a little price and the package is small but it feels and looks SO NICE on my skin. I’m using it in lieu of any foundation. It provides great natural coverage and a healthy glow. I got a compliment on my skin on the first day I wore it!

Love it! Just know that if you are oily you may want a setting powder. I sometimes use it with my cover FX or on its own for days when I want something lighter.

Love this stuff! I’ve been using the IT Matte CC for a while and like it, but it seemed to rub off on everything! Tried Tarte based on a friend’s recommendation and it did it disappoint. Mousse-like feel, very smooth, and surprisingly build-able coverage. Very very happy with this product!! Would definitely recommend to those who don’t need a heavy face of full coverage makeup. I’m 40 years old with combo skin and this doesn’t irritate or cause breakouts

An OK BB Cream

This is an OK BB cream. It helps cover redness, but isn't thick. It certainly doesn't cover acne. It leaves my skin a bit oily and definitely does not last a full 12 hours. To be fair, I still haven't found a satisfactory BB cream. This one I had high hopes for, but it is just OK.

Best BB Cream

This has been my go-to primer for 3 plus years now. Love that it has an SPF 30. Literally makes my skin feel like cashmere and helps cover up the excess redness I have in my cheeks. I wear this alone when I want to have a more natural look. So great- would highly recommend!

One of the few beauty products that I continue to buy, year after year. Soft and silky, great coverage... I use this in place of foundation, as I have yet to find any foundation--any brand--that feels as nice as this, and naturally evens out my skin like this product does. I would cry buckets if Tarte ever stopped making it! My only suggestion would be that the tube can get messy... this would work much better as a pump.

Best BB Cream for Oily Skin

I'm so happy that the high reviews were on point for me. I love this product and wear it every day. I love the matted look it gives me (I'm super-oily) and how it makes my skin look even. It's light enough for every day wear. The only suggestion I would make is to not use the online shade finder as it matched me with a color that's too dark. Go to a physical location and try a sample before you buy.

The Goldilocks of BB's

Love this stuff, and I've been using it for four years now. Not too runny like some BB creams, not too heavy, this is perfect. Usually I wear this on its own and it's enough to cover my acne scars and smooth my complexion while still looking very natural. Also works well under foundation, and as a base for eye shadow. FYI, I always apply sunscreen with it even though there's SPF built in, because you'd have to really paint this on in order to get sufficient coverage.

I am 57, and I use this without anything else. It says it is a primer, but unless I'm going someplace special, all I need is this and basic makeup and I'm done. I've never used a product that is so easy to use and makes my face flawless and natural.

I have been using this product for years and love the smooth finish and buildable coverage. I often will wear this with nothing else for the sunscreen protection and some light coverage- very natural look, not oily and it absorbs quickly if you want to build overtop.

I really hoped this would work for me, but it didn't. It's kind of like a mousse version of Benefit's POREfessional but dries to a matte finish more like Benefit's old Big Easy. I can't wear this on its own on my crazy combination very-dry skin with oily t-zone - it emphasized instead of camouflaging my mature skin. Sigh.

The only positive I can say about this is that it made my pores look smaller. But, the color was way off and I've tried two colors. The fair is ghost white and the light is way too dark and orangey. It dried out my skin, and absolutely does not cover minor imperfections. Very disappointing.

I previously was using the Dior BB cream that got discontinued (sadly!) and looked for a replacement for sooo long before deciding on this one. I love it! I have to use an additional concealer for any noticeable marks but overall this product gives my skin an even tone and looks completely natural. I like to use a light hand with it, but if you want more coverage it is buildable. The tube is a little small but a tiny amount goes a long way when applied with a brush. Great if you have no fine lines, or oily skin

This is a great product if you have zero wrinkles. I love the light/medium coverage and the tint is a great match. It didn't cause my sensitive skin to break out and it doesn't change color throughout the day. Unfortunately, it does have a very powdery finish that settles into fine lines. I would say it's a great product for the very young, or for those with oily skin.

Great color, doesn't blend after retinol serum

I'm really liking this BB cream. It blends easily, has a smooth texture, and the color was perfect. I found it easy to layer over my moisturizer (a mattifying formula with SPF). It did not pair well, though, with a retinol serum I use occasionally. I tried the retinol serum followed by my moisturizer followed by this BB cream and the BB cream just would not blend in evenly. It just streaked all over. I'm rather pale most of the year and I'm glad I went with the Fair instead of the Light.

i bought this one based on the reviews here. I bought this product to use it as a primer or base. Before this product I was using a primer from fenty beauty. I have very oily t zone and this product holds way longer than fenty primer. it keeps the matt finish for a long time and my skin doesn't feel dry off at all. love it!

Everyday go-to product

I love this stuff. It’s completely replaced my need for full coverage foundation and has made me more confident. I no longer feel like I need to hide my freckles with full coverage foundation. The Initial application looks a little heavy but within 10 minutes it really settles in and looks so beautiful. It’s funny I bought this as an spf but I use it as a foundation now. It wears beautifully. I like it more and more as the day goes on! One complaint. I don’t have a shade match in this which is frustrating. Right now I use medium but it’s a tad to dark. It would be better suited labeled tan. I would love if they made light medium.

I have been using this product for a little over 2 years. It’s amazing! My face is oily, and living in Miami it’s hard to control that with all the humidity. But I’ve never had to worry about that with this BB cream. Leaves your face looking porcelain all day.

Great primer, or wear alone

I really like this product! I use it as a primer or alone if I'm not going anywhere special and want to have something on. It evens my skin tone without hiding my freckles.It is a lighter coverage so you might still want under eye cream or spot cream for blemishes but it does lighten your under eye area somewhat. Doesn't break me out! My ONLY wish is that I wish it came in more shades :( I am in between light and fair. I go with light because the fair makes me look too pale.

My absolute favorite ever!!! Even though my skin is dry, I make this work! It is so smooth and airy, it almost has a whipped feel to it. Didn't realize it has Silicone

I regret buying this. I didn't notice it had silicone in it and the instant I put it on my face, I just was so disappointed. Honestly, it's a decent BB cream in terms of how it looks, but seeing as silicone can clog your pores and isnt actually imparting moisture into your skin...I don't know how they can call this a BB cream at all. I bought directly from tarte, so returning it would be a hassle. I'll use it sporadically and hope I don't get whiteheads.

Exactly what I need for everyday. If I am going out I’ll put foundation on top of this. After 3 weeks of daily use my skin feels better (smoother and less dry). I used to suffer from patches of dry skin even with heavy moisturizer which I still use but I attribute my skin looking smoother to this. It’s almost like a treatment for your skin!

Excellent sun protection

I’ve been using this almost daily for more than 3 years. Living in Hawaii, I have never ever gotten a sunburn when wearing just this on my face, even when spending hours exposed to the sun. Minor dislike is that if I have the rare dry patch, this product seems to highlight that.

beautiful on its own or as a base

This product makes my skin look gorgeous. On its own it has a very nice light coverage with a dewy finish. Underneath foundation it covers enough that I don't need to use any concealer. I also like knowing that this product helps protect my skin with SPF 30.
