It’s not the one I was looking for, so I grabbed the one that was similar to the color of Calming Alabaster—if I remember correctly—Redness Solution one. Sometimes it looks good, sometimes it looks questionable, but it still works for me!

My favorite foundation! I’ve tried many foundations and they are all too heavy or not enough coverage. This one is buildable and lightweight. Covers nicely and doesn’t clog my pours. I love this foundation!

Super skin-like finish!

Shocked at the comments talking about it being cakey. Maybe you're using the wrong primer? I've recently just completely stopped using primers and I find that it looks great. It's easily my most natural looking foundation and it sits great on my skin. Coverage isn't elite but it says it's only medium coverage which is really accurate. My one qualm with it is that it does oxidize a little orange so test it out in person and give it 10 minutes or so to make sure you've got the right shade.

I’m so disappointed with this product. I was looking for light coverage, but this just sits on top of the skin and looks cakey. It also separates and doesn’t blend well. Waste of money for me.

Don’t sleep on Clinique!!

Gives a really nice, natural coverage and applies beautifully! I wanted something for everyday that didn’t feel too heavy and I am so glad I decided to try this! I was getting frustrated at how finicky a lot newer formulas are, and thought - Clinique is classic for a reason, and loved the feel right away.

I received a totally different item. I ordered Clinique foundation and received Clinique lip oil. How is that so irresponsible Sephora?

This provides light, dewy coverage. This is a great product, however, they have reduced the product size. This is too expensive for the product size.

This is the best foundation I’ve ever used. Perfect shade match. Does not clog pores and is very lightweight but buildable. It dries down very nicely and looks natural. It also has a blurring effect!

Price hike

I do like this foundation but when I saw the price now which jumped up to 53$ I decided to do some research. You can purchase this from Clinique’s website and from Amazon for 39$! So Sephora’s charging almost 15$ more?! That’s crazy. Especially when I tried to chat to someone on Sephora…. They didn’t like my feedback and mysteriously disconnected.

Clinique always comes through

As always Clinique is such good quality. Goes on evenly, not cakey. Love the SPF in it so I don't have to do a separate sunscreen all the time. Sunscreen is important ladies! Let's not get skin cancer.

This a great foundation for aging skin, does not make skin shine. Wish I had have went with Sephora’s shade finder and not by reviews, next time I’ll go down a shade as recommended

I am SO picky about foundation, and decided to try this oldie (but apparently, GOODY) on a whim. It is the perfect light/medium coverage that actually lasts and doesn’t slip off of my face in an hour. I’m so impressed & hope Clinique keeps making this for a very long time!

Perfect for Sensitive Skin

I never leave reviews, but I wanted to just for this foundation because it genuinely is something I could never replace. After trying and breaking out from nearly every foundation on the market I thought I was hopeless and stuck to using concealer alone for the longest time. I found this and tried it on a whim as it was hypoallergenic, and loved it so much I even used it as my wedding foundation. I now use it every day, and it hasn’t broken me out or irritated my skin once!

Great but expensive

My adult daughters uses this foundation and loves it. Works with her combo skin and is easy to apply. Our only complaint is that it’s too expensive for such a little container.

I used to wear it all the time and loved it. It was beautiful, hydrating, felt like full coverage and long lasting. It was also a good size, felt like good value feels like it’s half the size, light coverage, clings to dry patches and breaks up a couple hours after application.

Okayish foundation for quick daily wear

First things first - worst numbering system. Super confusing and messy. Foundation itself isn’t too bad, it’s just fine. It’s great for a quick look. May cling to dry patches so make sure you moisturize well, and even can pill so wait before layering products.

My favourite foundation since I was in high school. Love how it has a bit of SPF. Reacts great with my skin and doesn’t leave me breaking out. Also works with drops and moisturizer/sunscreen underneath!

Too Expenssive

I just received it today. When I opened my sephora package i thought they sent me a sample by mistake. It is so small for the cost that i paid for it. I Haven’t tried it yet let see how it goes on my skin.

This is a formula that is long lasting and doesn’t just sit on top of my skin, it blends in beautifully and gives me medium coverage that lasts all day. I pair it with a concealer. Doesn’t make my face look caked up but looks done up

Received very old product

I checked the batch code on the one I received and it was produced nearly four years ago. Meanwhile I ordered the exact same foundation on Amazon since it was on sale and got one that was produced this year. Sephora can do so much better!

From 1.76 to 1 ounce. YIKES.

I’ve bought Clinique products for years; they have always been 1.76 ounces. I had not purchased this for a little over a year. Today, I received my package, which was significantly smaller at 1 ounce. I honestly thought it was a sample. a sample by accident.

Definitively give it a try

I really like this foundation. It’s nice and light weight but buildable and has a beautiful glowy finish.

I loved the texture, finish, and ease of applying. I used my fingers to apply. The shade was a perfect match for my skin as well. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to it. Hard to know how to rate it based on that, so I tried to kind of average it out?

Changed formula?

I have used Clinique Even Better foundation in the shade Alabaster for more than a decade. My skin is highly reactive and I tried so many foundations before finally finding one with SPF that worked for me. A dream tinted moisturizer product

This foundation is what I always wanted from a tm. It does not settle,migrate,or separate. The pigment is stable and does not oxidize. It blends beautifully with my skin tone and is my go to for no makeup/makeup days. I set it with loose powder and it looks flawless. I can still see my freckles through it,but everything is evened out. It performs until removal. it's gorgeous. I wear it over higher spf bc 15 isn't enough for me and it works just as well. I will definitely repurchase this.

I used to use this when it first came out then I started buying other foundations. Recently I've been struggling to find a foundation that I like and my skin can tolerate so I decided to buy this again. I'm so glad I did! The match is perfect and it doesn't irritate my skin.

Try if you have sensitive-dry skin

I bought this because I have a sensitive dry skin. So, I cannot wear a high-coverage foundation. This foundation is light-weight but has a medium-coverage and buildable. I got perfect shade with my skin tone.

Am I too pale for makeup with sun protection??

Shade range is too limited. I was really hopeful on getting a good shade match when I was last at Sephora as I needed a new foundation with SPF for the summer. Unfortunately none of the shades were light enough for my skin? My skin is very fair but even the lightest shades available appeared orange or yellow against my skin. Guess I need more sun 🙃

I like this foundation, light/medium coverage and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It works well for my dry skin. I have been using it for some time now while trying other products to find one that suits my skin the best.

Amazing

This foundation is a sleeper hit. Better than the even better serum version hands down. SO blurring and pretty on the skin and doesn’t cake or break up. Great coverage, great year round.

I’ve tried a lot of foundations over the years and this is by far my favorite. I don’t love matte foundation on me, and a “dewy” foundation can start to look too dewy. This is a perfect natural finish. It doesn’t oxidize, has great staying power, and perfectly matches my skin. It’s buildable too if I want heavier or less coverage.

I’ve never been able to find a foundation I liked but was so impressed with this one. It is buildable but I prefer to put it lightly to where the redness is canceled out but my freckles still show through.

I normally use Clinique stay matte but decided to try this one. It's ok but I will stick with the stay matte. This one seems to emphasize my fine lines too much.

Without a doubt, best foundation ever. It’s super hydrating, never broke me out (even sleeping in makeup), really good coverage, and easy to blend. It’s my mom’s favourite as well and a must have for sure.

Initially I was really pleased with this foundation. Decent coverage and felt comfortable on my skin. Unfortunately not long wearing at all; it didn't even make it through a standard work day. Cant live without!!

I have used this foundation for probably close to 8 years (maybe more?). It is really that great! I have skin that is pretty normal, but can get extremely dry and is sensitive. This foundation doesn't dry or break me out or settle into the dry spots I occasionally get. I have found this foundation to be very natural, but buildable when I need that extra coverage. It lasts all day and I always get compliments on my skin. It is my perfect every day foundation and I cant live without it.

Returning. Order this shade only if you have used it before. The fact that the website does not provide an idea of the shade makes it imposible to make a desicion that the color is a good match. I think I will like the product once I find the correct color.

I love this stuff! I always thought of Clinique as an old person brand (sorry lol) but this stuff is fantastic! It might even beat the Fenty skin tint. Perfect formula. I can leave it as is or powder. I can apply with my fingers extremely easily. Love the packaging except I do feel bad at the end of the bottle knowing there's more that I can't get to unlike a squeeze tube that I could cut. Main issue is the shades. The Sephora employees who helped me pick out the right shade for me are the whole reason why I bought it! I was so confused and defeated trying to find foundation on my own. Amazing formula, poor shade selection

This foundation is creamy, sinks into my skin and gives such a natural, radiant finish. It is perfect for dry skin. I've tried most of the light warm shades and they're all either orange or too pink. There are no shades for olive/yellow undertones, which is a shame because this is the best foundation I've tried! The coverage is perfect, the price is reasonable, the formula is terrific. Buff WN16 is the closest shade match, although I wish it was less pink.

Excellent foundation

Excellent foundation, long lasting and has a slightly radiant-natural finish. I have combination skin and oily T-zone and this works great and lasts long. Most of the WN shades have a golden-warm tone so go a shade lighter.

A good quality foundation

Best foundation I’ve ever bought

10/10 formula, I’ve always have problems with dry skin so foundation would always be flaky under my eyes but this foundation helps with moisture and it’s pretty sweat resistant. Makes skin look so smooth, best I’ve used.

surprised by this one!

I was definitely surprised by this one! I wore this when I had a long work day . I applied it at 7 A.M, and it held up all day until ( 6 P.M ) with only needing to blot a little on my nose, which is very normal for me to have to do with oily skin. it wears very nicely, and it does have a little SPF in it. I still wear my normal SPF since this one has a small amount. But I think this one is a great one to keep in your kit!

I found it really hard to figure out what shade to buy since they all look so similar in my shade range, but I don't think I made a bad guess. This isn't the worst foundation I've used, but it definitely could be improved. I noticed that it sinks into fine lines and pores and also doesn't help areas of dry skin. If you want light to medium coverage then this will do it. Anything for dark circles, acne marks, dark spots, or redness will require a lot of this foundation being layered on.

I don’t know how they decided to name their colors, but it definitely threw me off. I’m normally Punjab in Nars or Y255 from Makeup Forever, so seeing “very fair” as my color just seemed way off. Powdery Matte Finish

I had high expectations for this foundation with all the great reviews for dry skin. However, this is definitely more of a powdery matte finish foundation and really emphasized my pores and texture. Made my skin look more dry.

My favorite everyday foundation. I have it in 3 different colors for winter spring and summer! You don’t need a lot and if used with a primer and beauty blender it goes on perfectly. I’ve been using it for the last 10 years and tried everything else and always go back to clinique. It’s unscented and doesn’t irritate or break out my sensitive skin. If you’re having a rough day you can also build coverage. I usually use a pea size amount and have fair olive skin!

I'm not satisfied with this product (because I have very sensitive skin somebody recommend this to me ) but it doesn't match to my skin tone at all , I bought this several times and keep the last one ... This has been my go-to foundation for the last several years. I am over 40, have extremely sensitive as well as dry skin, and this foundation doesn’t irritate or dry me out. I’ve been using Clinique foundation for 10+ years now. I will say not all are created equal. I switched to this type a little less than a year ago and like it a lot. I’m not a full coverage person, and this foundation helps equalize my overall skin tone appearance. My holy grail foundation

This is my absolute favorite go-to foundation! The color 52 Neutral has been the color I’ve used since 2013. I have tested out several foundations through the years, many high end ones, and this is my holy grail. It gives the perfect amount of medium coverage and isn’t drying or patchy. It makes my skin look hydrated and gives me a healthy glow. I don’t know what I’ll do if they ever stop making this because nothing compares!

Not great

I was so disappointed in this foundation. It was streaky, oily and the colour wasn’t what I expected it to be. It just didn’t feel like good quality. I ended up going back to my FitMe by maybelline which is also less than half the price.

Need skills to put it on

This is a cream formula. It makes it harder to cover the whole face than a liquid formula if I only use a small amount of the product. if I don't exfoliate and moisturize my face well it could be super cakey. However, it does a great job overall.

Healthy glow & no breakouts!

Been using this for years. They have so many shades that I could find my perfect tone. It never makes me breakout (it’s not the culprit at least.. any time I have tried other foundations I break out). The people who say it made their skin look bad or cakey probably are using the wrong skin care routine and need to get a facial to refresh their skin. This foundation gives your skin a really nice glow that’s not too shiny but looks fresh faced. Great for combo skin.

Blotchy Face!

This foundation left my skin looking cakey. The foundation sinks into your pores and feels sticky on the skin. It did not improve my skin and made my face look blotchy. I would not recommend this if you are looking for a clean smooth finish.

I love this foundation! I'm on my fourth bottle. Easy to apply and blend, nice, medium coverage, doesn't make me look cakey, and my skin really does look better after using it.

It’s a good foundation because it doesn’t break me out and has SPF. The issue with this foundation is it never sets. It’s wet all day. When you put powder over top, it just turns into a weird paste.

Truly terrible makeup. Oily and heavy in ways that make my skin’s minor imperfections far more noticeable. A Sephora employee recommended this product after I expressed a need for SPF in my foundation. She shade matched me with the 10-Alabaster, which ended up being way too warm toned for my very fair, cool/pink under-toned skin. As a black woman it's been a while since I found a foundation that worked right off the bat. Fantastic formula but lacking in true neutral-warm lighter tones. I ordered a few different shades, all of which had to be returned. The undertonal matches were too light, while the right intensities were too peach/orange or pink. But application, wear, decent SPF without irritating ingredients (such as alcohol) would have made this the perfect "all in one" product. Hoping they introduce more natural shades at some point.

I don't know what kind of magic they use in this foundation, but it corrects discoloration and takes years off. It has a finish like a serum foundation, but you don't have to shake it before using, just apply like any other. I blend with my fingers. My holy grail foundation. This foundation covers up any redness I seem to have and old acne scarring, yet doesn't make my face look flat. It honestly looks just like my skin but better. This is my favourite every day foundation! As someone who has sensitive skin (and periodically falls asleep without taking their makeup off ***shame***) it’s great to have a foundation that does not irritate or make my skin breakout. I had normal skin brfore this and it doesn't make much sense for a foundation that is suppose to better your skin as wearing it but I have over 10 pimples on my face and other 5 on my jaw line and neck which is very uncommon for me. This is a nightmare of a foundation. I don't know why it's advertised as appropriate for oily and combination skin. Maybe if you have dry skin, you'll have a better experience, but this product is not a good fit for us oilier folks. This is a really great foundation at a remarkable price! This is half the cost of some and holds up so well! It’s not as glam or radiant finish and I mix with a primer and wear powder on top, but this is definitely worth your money!

Can’t say enough good things about this product. Great staying power and I have found my skin is better since using it. Looks great alone or paired with the hydro blur moisturizer.

This is the only foundation my sensitive skin can stand. It isn’t heavy coverage (you can layer it on to get more coverage, but otherwise I would relate it closer to a Glossier-chic look) so it won’t hide any blemishes that might have scabbing or flakiness. That said, it gives a beautiful finish to smoother areas when used with a beauty blender.

I have tried so many foundations but this one seems to be the only one I can truly give a five star to. If your skin is on the dryer side like mine, this is perfect. It’s the only foundation I get compliments with. I also think the price is reasonable for a high end foundation.

use a foundation brush

Nice medium coverage. My skin looks like healthy skin and not like I have layers of makeup. I usually like to apply foundation with my fingers, but I had best results with a foundation brush for this one. Paired with Milk primer, this lasts my entire 12-hr shift as a nurse, and beyond. Also true to shade and doesn’t seem to oxidize or darken once applied.

I’m an very happy with this foundation. I bought this Black Friday; I have very sensitive rosacea skin and I have not had a reaction so far. It feels very light on my skin and is a light to medium coverage. You do not need to use a lot. This foundation did not oxidize on me. It is a matte finish.

i don't typically like wearing foundation but if i do i will use this one. it is pretty thick so i only apply a very thin layer. i would say moderate coverage

Goes on smoothly and you just need a tiny bit. I am really careful how I spend my money and I think this is worth the price.

I have very dry and sensitive skin. This has been the best liquid makeup I’ve found. It goes on throughly and doesn’t irritate my skin. I definitely recommend!

Matches my skin pretty good and last much longer then my old foundation!

I absolutely LOVE this product. When I was a child my tooth went through my top lip, leaving a broken blood vessel that’s impossible to cover up... this however, does the trick and makes it not noticeable!

This is my everyday wear foundation and it’s great. Covers discoloration and redness nicely, although I will still see an occasional red spot or blemish show through. Favourite Easy Foundation!

I've been using Even Better for a few years (gone through maybe three bottles), and it's my go-to easy, no-fuss, natural foundation. I've tried countless foundations and it's been so difficult finding the right shade. a lot of the foundations I have tried have been to red or peachy. this is perfect. It gives me a beautiful glow, i love the dewy look and you can always make it matte by adding powder.

a great light coverage foundation!

A great foundation if you want light weight and very natural. It evens your skin tone mainly, providing not enough coverage for pimples or imperfections. But I loved it because I was able to spot conceal imperfections and have less coverage around my entire face. Also has SPF which is always a wonderful bonus !!

I can not believe how well this foundation performs. It is sheer coverage but definitely buildable. My mature skin loves its hydration! I have tried like 6 setting powders on it, none have oxidized. Works great over my BB vitamin E enriched face base. Totally worth 5 stars and blew my Nars sheer glow out of the water... mind blowing! A must!

PCOS Approved.

I have tried so many foundations, from Maybelline Fit Me to Dior and Lancome. This foundation seems to be the only foundation that I've actually RAN out of and RE-PURCHASED. Never Fails Me

Holy crap, so good but...

This is literally the best foundation I have ever used. I don't know if it evened out my skin tone but it blends so perfectly and stays on my face all day, it doesn't clump or budge at all, and I don't use primer or setting spray. I took away a star because the company is not cruelty free.

One of my favorites.

One of my favourite foundations. Beautiful glowy finish, easy to blend, is like a second skin. I was worried about the finish--that it would show every pore and bump--but it doesn't on me. I had it color matched and it's perfect. Not full coverage so perfect for daytime.

I have super sensitive and eczema prone, dry skin and this foundation is a miracle worker. Although it is light, it covers most of my dark spots and evens out my skin tone. It doesn’t dry out my skin and it gives a nice natural finish. I highly recommend this to someone who is sensitive skin and wants foundation.

So beautiful and skin-like

The foundation is super easy to put on and I’ll literally use my fingers in a rush. It has a pretty natural super skin like finish and it’s medium to full coverage and covers up my acne and scars. Just powder enough to keep on and a good setting spray for the rest of the day. ;)))

Wish I liked

I wish Clinique products worked well with my skin. I am always recommended it since I have problematic skin, however after many attempts my skin just hates it. I used to use this foundation in college during the more dry winter months. Not sure why I stopped. Fast forward a few years and I remembered why - this stuff breaks me out and is orange ( even though i was color matched). I do like the texture of this makeup, it feels calming. However if you have acne prone skin I would not recommend.

Very nice for a natural look

Lovely coverage, just enough to even out skin tone if you're looking for a more natural look. Took one star away as it's more of a radiant finish on my skin, rather than natural. Makes my skin look very glowy/dewy, which I don't hate, but sometimes it's a little much.

best lightweight foundation out there that doesn't cake up!!

Dewy and great coverage and I love the compact packaging and dispensing but it gave off a really weird white cast in photos so I had to return. Got this because I was going to Italy and it was hot this summer so wanted the sun protection but my photos ended up coming out weird cuz of it.

This foundation is the perfect sheer medium coverage foundation! It doesn’t look cakey but still covers up any redness or blemishes I have (usually I’m walking around with 2-3 blemishes I picked at profusely the night before and this foundation covers them up amazingly). The perfect natural and radiant foundation

Best natural finish foundation I have come across yet. It's not too sheer like a tinted moisturizer, yet when applied (I use a RT beauty sponge) it has great coverage and just looks like your skin (but even better!) Great color

I got a sample of this at Sephora when my I noticed my previous foundation wearing off mid-day during summer heat. This foundation lasts ALL DAY. I have pale skin, and I easily found a good color match without any yellow (you'd be surprised how difficult that is). Nice finish, doesn't settle into lines; I don't even use primer, just serum, moisturizer, and SPF 60 (pale!) underneath. A winner!

Absolutely Beautiful Foundation

This is the best foundation! It is light and provides beautiful natural coverage and it's wonderful for the skin. I have been using it for years.

I have been looking for a good foundation and im am on a budget. So i figured i would try this one out and i like that its natural looking and it has great coverage for redness, acne, and discoloration. I applied it with a beauty blender and also a brush and the finish was the same. This is my new go to foundaton.

This is one of my go-to foundations. It is lightweight but has good coverage. It has SPF which is nice and it doesn't flair up my acne. The only negative is that it doesn't have the best staying power since it is not a matte foundation. For regular wear it's great but for a long day at work I need something a bit more resilient.

I honestly don't like this foundation... No matter what you put under your foundation, your skin always seems to be dry and it doesn't cover pimples..

I have around 80 different brands of foundation from high end to drugstore. I picked up a bottle of Clinique Even Better Foundation on sale honestly not expecting much. I was blown away! This foundation is fantastic! I have combination/dry in winter and lean towards a bit oily in the hot summer months. Not prone to acne, maybe a small pimple here and there. A few fine lines. Dark circles after a rough nought. I have always taken care of my skin so don’t need a heavy full coverage foundation....

This foundation is what I’ve been looking for. It’s buildable coverage leaves a nice matte finish especially if using a brush. Goes on nice and lasts well all day especially when set. One thing I especially love is my skin feels good when taking this makeup off, which is hard to accomplish.

Shade changes possibly? no longer the same.

I have been using this foundation off and on for the last 20 or more years. My skintone has not changed over the years and I always wore porcelain beige. I bought multiple backups of this shade just in case they discontinue. When I went to apply my new bottle it was extremely dark on my skin. Unbelievable dark. Even Better is my favourite foundation. It gives light, even coverage that is perfect for every day. Cream Chamois is the best match for my skin tone that I've ever found. The price is very reasonable too. I keep one at home and one in my purse for touch-ups

My perfect foundation

If you want a dewy finish, THIS is the foundation for you. My absolute favorite foundation I have ever tried, from drugstore to high-end. This foundation leaves your skin with the most youthful, dewy glow. I would say it’s medium coverage, but it is buildable. I can’t say enough good things about this foundation.

I liked the dewy look and the spf was a plus. However, but the end of the day the foundation had spread and cracked. It looked pretty bad. All over my T zone. I would set it with setting powder and even use setting spray. Id do all the steps necessary but honestly the foundation came off. I really wanted to like it. It also made me very orange. This line is more for people with fair skin or neutral undertones.

Good foundation

This is a great foundation with very nice coverage. It boasts a natural finish - that's the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me. I would call the finish dewy or radiant, not natural. It's very hydrating and does seem to improve my skin the more I wear it. Overall a great product.

Very light coverage

If you like minimal coverage than you’ll like this. It did not cover my small pimples even on a second coat. The finish was pretty ; it’s not matte. the foundation was too light on me.

I keep trying other things but I come back to this. My all time every day wear. Coverage is buildable, it matches perfectly with my skin tone. With my cover fx setting powder this does hold up through sweating. Does not settle into my lines.

Thick and Cakey

I have tested this product for 2 weeks trying to make it work. No matter what primer, method of application, the product ends up looking cakey after a few hours.

looks great on large pores but greasy all day

This looked great when first applied. Didn’t emphasize pores or lines. It has a dewy finish. In an hour my face was so oily. After blotting, it became oily again in a few hours. It’s like there’s something oily in the formula. It did last all day though even after blotting 3-4 times. And I love the color... it’s yellow based and looks tanned. I wish it didn’t make me so greasy or else this is a great foundation.
