bad container design, small amount of powder

I like the powder, but the container design is bad, and no instruction how to open it, Because it's so darn hard to open. 2, the powder is just half of the container, and for such a price there is no puff pad! for this littler powder the price is way too high!!

Does not look "caked on"

This foundation does not look "caked on"; however, it does wear off if you don't use a setting spray. By using the proper brush, you can cover blemishes easily. All in all, I like this foundation.

Great for everyday

I wasn’t sure about this when I initially tried it. I bought it with the brush that’s supposed to go with it. You don’t need the brush, I found a flat top kabuki works better. It has more of a satin finish and long wearing. I got over 12 he wear out of if.

Beautiful, satin matte finish that just looks like healthy skin. I use a poreless primer on my t-zone. I use 2-3 light layers then apply their mineral concealer in summer bisque. It looks beautiful and natural in person which was my goal. Glad I decided to try this brand again!

Shades are darker in person but still great

In love with this foundation. I will be a long time customer now because this is seriously the best foundation I have ever used. Its skin clearing, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, and is buildable. Shades are much darker in person.

Every Dayer!

My color is based on my summer foundation color. I use this year round by putting one light coat over my winter color just to ensure that I don’t look too pale. It is a great foundation for young girls, for people who want a smooth look for work, and for every day use. I do suggest finding a moisturizer that works well with your skin and the foundation.

I love Bare Minerals but I wish they would change the container back how it used to be when they first started. The container is sealed now and you are unable to get a significant amount of powder out when it's almost empty. Heaven forbid I leave any left as it costs sooooo much!!!

Game changer

I used the original Bare Minerals years ago. Even though I was in my late 20's early 30's, sometimes it would catch the texture on my skin. This new formula is fantastic! Lays perfectly on my skin. Hides any imperfections without looking like I have piled on a lot of product. Highly recommend. Especially if you used Bare Minerals in the past.

One of my favorite face products that actually matches my super pale cool toned skin. The loose powder definitely is more “full coverage” than the pressed powder, and I’ve found it to run a touch more warm toned than the pressed of the same color and a little more “dewey,” but not nearly as much as the non-matte version, and it lasts all day amazingly!

I’m 45 for reference. Best full coverage foundation I have ever used. Quick. Covers my blotchiness, sun spots, capillaries, and blemishes with ease. I prefer the Matte as the Original has too much shine for me. Cannot stand the feel of liquid or stick foundation, especially in Arizona summers. I use along with the Well Rested and Summer Bisque concealers.

great buildable coverage. I go for a light coverage with a light dusting all over my face. Helps control oil. Your skin looks matte when you apply it but your natural oils eventually seep through making it look very natural. An oldie that I went back to, but I think I prefer Laura Mercier powders these days.

I used to use Dawn 02 so I am still looking for the best match, but so far in terms of wear it is great. I’ve been using bareminerals since high school. I have pretty fair skin with freckles that I like to show off, but sometimes will have discoloration or redness I want covered. This product perfectly nails that delicate balance. I also have combination skin that leans toward oily so when they came out with this matte version, I was thrilled!

Have tried many foundations and keep coming back to this. I really like using it in summer when I feel like my face melts with any kind of liquid or cream foundation. The powder acts like a liquid foundation but with the benefits of the powder.

I really love using this foundation. It is light and goes on and is buildable over time. It goes well over my tinted sunscreen for a lighter and more natural look. I love using it atop a stick or liquid foundation when I am wanting heavier coverage. My favorite part of the powder is that it does not create any skin reaction or dryness. I’m a little dissatisfied with the shade that I bought with the help of the sale person. The shade is reddish on my tone in brighter lighting than the store was. We couldn’t find my information in the system from past purchase so we tried on different shades. I am an advocate for bare minerals products and have inspired others who is now customers of bare mineral products .

I like to use it on top of cc cream for no make up look. It is also nice alone to make your skin look more alive. But if you are looking for full coverage, you will not get it here.

I used bare minerals almost ten years ago and stopped using the brand because I felt like the amount you paid did not deliver results that were worth it. I like this for a no makeup- makeup day. Days that I don’t feel like doing a full face but I still want to spend some time getting ready to make myself feel good. It gets pretty oily by the end of the day, which is something I really dislike. Mind you, I do not have oily skin. I am combo leaning dry.

By far the best loose powder I've ever used. I love how lightweight it is, how natural the finish is (not too matte) and the added sun protection is a bonus. I prefer this matte formula over their "original" formula (which comes off a little glittery).

Great everyday powder

Great powder that lasts all day. I use this to set my BB cream/tinted moisturizer and add a little coverage. It blurs my pores and has a nice velvet matte finish. Definitely will repurchase.

It is a completely different color than the original. I purchased the same shade as I use for the original it was so orange. The original matches my skin perfectly. I couldn’t believe how different the colors were. I looked like an oompla loompa in the Matte color. Also, the cover did not seem as good as the original formula. I hope I can return it!

Best foundation I have found for combination skin with a T- Zone that tends to be oily. This covers extremely well and the matte finish removes the shine.

Will Never Switch Brands Again

I have been buying BareMinerals foundation for 10 years now since I used to fawn over their informercials in Junior High! I've tried other kinds in between just to see what others are like but keep coming back to this. The coverage is just right for me. I've been using this product for many years now and to this day it is the best match for my skin tone. It is perfect for golden tinted skin. I’ve tried the matte and original of the same shade and don’t notice a difference in the matte in oil control. It’s a nice foundation but it doesn’t provide any more oil control than the original.

Acne Caused by Lauroyl Lysine

I have been using this matte foundation since it came out, so about 10 years now. I have a winter shade and a summer shade and it's the perfect everyday foundation -- great for combination to oily skin.

I’ve been using Bare Minerals for fifteen years and I’m still as happy with it today as I was back then. I will switch liquid foundations out all the time but when it comes to powder Bare Minerals is the best. Their Translucent powders are the best setting powders as well.

My go-to foundation. It's not heavy or obvious, which I like. When applied with the proper brush, it gives you just the right amount of coverage and has staying power. Definitely Matte Finish

Is definitely matte, when I used it I felt like I needed a bit more radiance on my skin. I was not loving the flat matte finish. So I prefer Tarte's Powder Foundation or BareMinerals Original.

Great formula, poor shade range

I love the way this foundation applies. If I want full coverage I use the Bare Minerals brush that is recommended with it. If I want lighter coverage I use a less dense powder brush. But I have very pink skin and definitely need to use a shade meant for pink undertones. The Fair 01 is way too light, and the next darkest one with pink undertones, Fairly Medium 05 is way too dark. So I use a foundation with a better shade range that has a less than ideal formula.

No coverage at all

Unfortunately this foundation did not cover anything on my skin. I have tried the original and love the coverage but I have oily skin and it would start to break apart after a few hours. I was hoping the matte version would have the same coverage but it covered up nothing.

I usually wear the fairly light but since going to the tanning bed I am now using the light. Looks great and works well with my oily skin.

Natural, Lasts Forever, Affordable

I use this all the time. Literally my favorite foundation. I hate using liquid foundation and then realize I have a dry patch and having to start over. This never fails me even when I do have dry patches. It doesn't cling on to the dry skin it just naturally sits on top. If you feel a little dry, spray your face with some setting spray and you're literally good to go. This also lasted me forever and I recently purchased a second one.

I only knocked off a star because this products runs really dark. I used the shade finder online and got shade 03 fairly light, which sounds like it would be for me but it's about 3 shades too dark. Staple Foundation

I have been using this foundation as my primary foundation since high school. It's tried and true. I am an oily girl most of the year so this is perfect to help keep that under control. If I'm feeling dry, I usually use a moisturizer primer and it still works perfectly.

This is a product I always keep coming back to. I like a more natural looking foundation and this one does a great job of covering up and looking natural as well. This does a good job of keeping oil under control too. I notice that when I use this foundation my acne actually improves as well. The only thing I don’t like is that it can get on clothes easily if your face rubs against something. Other than that I love this foundation and will keep using it!

Gorgeous finish, but I think it broke me out..

I LOVED the finish that this foundation gave me. It was like my skin but BETTER. It seriously made my face look flawless. The only reason I took 2 stars off and had stopped using this foundation is because I think it was causing my breakouts. I had assumed that all powder foundations are healthier and safer for your skin (as opposed to liquid, etc), but actually some have crazy pore-clogging ingredients. Reliable Favorite

Used this product for a long time! It was great for my oily skin and has a beautiful natural finish!! I ended up moving to liquid foundation later in life but this is definitely a reliable, natural-looking foundation that I love.

I've been using this for years. I love the Matte powder (even with my dry-inclined skin, the non-matte just makes me look shiny, not glowing). I just wear liquid foundation as concealer here and there and then wear this over it. Blush and stuff goes on smoothly over it also. I use a powder blush to apply. I wanted to love it because it gives a matte coverage but it’s too dark than the original. I got the original first after finding a shade in the Sephora store, but I noticed I get too oily from it. So I decided to buy this matte version in the same shade and it’s literally 2-3 shades darker than the original. The finish is really flat, too.

I'm SO happy with this. I used to use the original foundation, but after a long day at school it would tend to get kinda shiny. I love using this powder to set my face! I wouldn't say this is super long lasting, but it sets everything perfectly, smooths, and blurs my pores! After adding a touch of setting spray my skin looks like porcelain! And it fades super gracefully too, instead of breaking apart or getting cakey. I will be investing in a second shade for the winter months!

I love it!

This was my first time using BareMinerals and I absolutely love it. It doesn’t make my skin feel super dry like most powders. The container was a little smaller than I thought, but it covers well and doesn’t make my face feel gross. Thumbs up from me.

Contains Lauroyl Lysine and breaks me out

While I really think this looks lovely on the face, and I enjoy the finish much more then the original BE, I can't give this but two stars due to the inclusion of lauroyl lysine in the ingredients. I am a esthetician and very finicky about reading ingredients and researching what products contain. Lauroyl Lysine is a known comedogenic ingredient, and breaks my skin out in tiny , red bumps. So sad that BE included this , because it would be a great foundation if not for this ingredient....

Love the product in general. Wish they still had summer bisque. That was my go to minimal high lighter.

Just as good as the original. It is extremely matte. Almost too matte. It's not so good on my dry skin but probably great on oily skin. I do like it for hot summer days.

Survived FL heat

I wore for first time BM foundation and after 4hrs outdoors my skin only showed thru a bit of shine on my nose, that is awesome!! very impressed how natural it looks and still provides excellent coverages.

My fave for 10 years

I've been used bareMinerals for the past ten years, and it will always be my go-to foundation. I do not like the dewiness of some of these liquid foundations out there. The power foundation never breaks me out and has medium coverage. Would recommend!

HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT

OH my goodness. I cannot even put into words how amazing this foundation is. I've been using the original loose powder foundation for about six months, and I loved that one so much that I decided to try this one too. This foundation is a HOLY GRAIL product that I will never stop using. It never makes me break out, and with the elf primer I use it makes me look like a glowing goddess. You all need to try this, it is a lifesaver.

I cant BARE it

I had high hopes for this foundation but ended up super disappointed. Pros: It provides buildable light to medium coverage, lightweight feeling on skin Cons: Can be messy when applying and my face became sticky throughout the day. Definitely not a long wear makeup for oily skin.

I do not like this product at all. It managed to look cakey with one tiny application.

This stuff is so good! I wear this with an invisible foundation(milk makeup blur stick) and it give a little coverage that helps keep an even skin tone. I’m pretty oily and get pretty oily, and I still haven’t found a foundation that keeps me oil free throughout the day. But this is pretty good.

Matches well

Matched my skin tone well, upon removal; it doesnt damage my skin the way a heavier liquid foundation would. Its light on my skin feels like I'm not wearing anything and hides those small imperfections while making it seem as though I'm not wearing makeup.

Great coverage, perfect shade for my skin, easy application

This is my favorite foundation. I don't wear anything else and I even sleep in it all the time with no ill effects!

I bought this matte formula by accident, but I’m keeping it anyway. It’s a great foundation. There’s a slight learning curve to optimal application but once you get the hang of it you’ll be looking flawless! Use a mist or facial spray to set and hydrate afterward and throughout the day, esp w this matte formula.

Did Not Tame Oil - Made it Worse

Love the way it goes on, looks great for a while, but by the middle of the work-day (5-6 hours of wear), I'm a greasy, shiny mess. I thought the powder matte finish would help absorb the oil, but it seemed to oddly make it much, much worse. I'm far more oily when I wear this as opposed to nothing at all. The shade is good. I'm fair, but not the palest person out there, and the lightest shade was a good match. The next shade (02) was WAY too orange.

Great Product! Adds a beautiful touch and can be used as a setting powder. Not the full coverage I hoped for. Love how great this product is for the skin.

Cakey and oily

Decided to switch up powder. Applied alone as a foundation or on top of foundation as a setter its cakey and oily. Never had an issue with a POWDER making me oily but this does it, within an hour of wear. Not for me

I'm so disappointed with this foundation. I recently purchased a value size of the original formula and fell in love, but your girl is oily. This makes me look like a greaseball almost immediately. At least the original makes any shine look like a healthy glow. I find this formula flat and the coverage leaves a LOT to be desired.

This is the black sheep of the BM family. The coverage I'm used to expecting with the original formula is non-existant here and with 30 minutes, I look like a greaseball. I don't feel it blends as seamlessly and seems to sit on top of the skin.

I just learned while about to write the review that apparently this isn't the color I'm supposed to be using, haha. I'll have to try the one it says matches me. But regardless I've been using this for probably 10 years now and I've never liked another foundation as much. My skin can get oily by the afternoon and this lasts the best of any I've tried. I also really like the packaging because I can prevent too much product from coming out when I travel.

Obsessed with how light, breathable and clear it makes my skin look. Don’t get it twisted though, this isn’t a full coverage if you have blemishes, but it’s good for the entire face and then you blot the issue spots with concealer.

I keep this in my purse because most days i do my makeup in the car on the way to work. Its easy to use, good light coverage to even out your skin tone. Blends beautifully and products go wonderfully overtop. Sometimes this does get greasy on me though, i have pretty dry/combination skin If you are more oily I would try a sample size before you buy the whole thing just to make sure.

I don’t need much coverage so this product is perfect for me. I only need it to even out my skin tone and it’s such a lightweight, breathable formula that I’m able to wear it year-round. I highly recommend getting the Bare Minerals foundation brush to go with it.

Decent coverage without being too much, but I specifically bought the matte powder and my face has never been this oily! I always have fairly oily skin, but this product makes it worse. I have used Bare Minerals for a while now. The product matches my skin tone perfectly but it says that it's "matte" but I will be shiny within 2 hours after applying this foundation. I do have combination skin but I have to touch this up every several hours and I was hoping that I would have more of a matte finish! Overall, I do like Bare Minerals because you don't need a lot to achieve the look that you want....a little will do!!

For me, truly non-clogging.

one day I noticed that I was breaking out in between my eye brows. and I felt like I needed to change it us from liquid to powder. This mattifies my skin, evens my tone and my blush stays in place ! and the staying power is pretty good for my 8-12hr night shifts at the hospital. and at the end my shift, my face never feels gross and I don't have the "uggghh I can't wait to take remove my make up."

Looks great on my skin, nice coverage, this shade matches me perfectly, doesn’t break me out at all, and I have combo skin, it lasts me for about 6 hours with out getting super oily even if I didn’t retouch or set it.

I’ve used several colors throughout the years due to my skin’s ease of tanning and paling throughout the seasons. It’s an excellent powder on top of foundation or primer.

Recently switched to the matte and I love it even more than the original.

Great for everyday

Probably the most consistent product in my make bag. I use it on minimum make up days to even my skin tone with just a few brush strokes. I also use it on full glam days at a finishing powder. My skin tends to be more on the sensitive side and for almost everyday use for YEARS it's been a must.

I honestly love bare minerals especially in the summer when I want a bit of coverage but nothing to heavy that’s going to melt during the hots days! In the winter I will use over top of a bit of foundation. I have little to no acne and use just to even out skin tone! I especially love the matte version because I find the original is a bit shiny on my skin!

Not for oily skin. I’ve been using this off and on for about 4 years two of those without a break and it doesn’t do what it claims. My t-zone looks melted butter just rests there.

Matte FTW

I love this product and use it every day. Great for sensitive skin, doesn't give full coverage with one application but I get enough overall coverage and then use it as concealer as well. Love it for oily skin as I get way less shiny and less breakouts than with other products.

Blends in Well

Bare Minerals has great coverage. Medium 05 is not the color I typically use, but it blends in well. That is the great thing about BareMinerals--it blends in so well and never looks fake.

Every Day!

Buildable and good for every day. I like to wear this to the office because it's not heavy, and stays on most of the day. Also doesn't cause breakouts, which is a concern for my skin. Lasts a few months when used daily and is a good price point for powder foundation.

Not good

I ordered this instead of the original by mistake and couldn’t figure out why I hated it so much compared to the trial sized original formula I’d had before. This is the “same” shade but goes on SO orange. The coverage isn’t as good and doesn’t look natural at all. By the end of the day, it’s settled into creases and just looks BAD. I wish I could return it. Needless to say, I’ll be sticking with the original formula.

My go-to, it never disappoints. Works great for those of us with big pores, it doesn’t settle into them or emphasize them like the original bare minerals does (at least for me). No primer necessary, just a setting powder. Coverage is very buildable. I even use it as a concealer on my blemishes by layering it on where necessary. And it doesn’t break out my acne-prone skin! Love this stuff!!

Buildable coverage

This is by far my favorite foundation! It truly gives me buildable coverage. Just a quick layer for sheer coverage is usually all I need. But you can build it up to being full coverage as well. An extra layer under the eyes and it becomes an under-eye concealer as well! I use color 12 medium beige. It’s such a perfect match to my skin, it just disappears flawlessly. It also controls oil for about 6-7 hours.

Search no more for your powder foundation!

I was desperate when I found out Sheseido would no longer do the “pureness” powder foundation. It went on beautifully. As the day went by, it started to settle in my pores and fine lines (I'm 30). Did not stay matte at all. I wanted to love it, but it was a complete fail for me.

Wonderful Natural Makeup

Bareminerals is really a nice natural makeup. Never breaks me out. Stays all day without touchup. I say natural because it will show flaws etc... but it's a great everyday makeup and a little goes a long way.

My favorite everyday foundation for 5 years!

I always experiment with different foundations and always repurchase this. I have oily skin and use this for work days. It’s a nice sheer coverage and it looks like my skin but better. I find that it goes on great with just a moisturizer only and no need to use a primer unless you really want to. As I’m aging (almost 28) this stuff still looks great on my skin where other foundations over time just don’t do it for me anymore.

I have been using this product for YEARS! Almost 10 years. Great for oily, acne prone skin. Good coverage. I use it over medium coverage for that airbrush effect. I ran out for a bit, and my skin suffered.

I don’t think I could go back to liquid foundation. I have been using this powder foundation for about 2 weeks and I am still very in love with it. Best Skin Ever!

I love how I can use this, and in days, I’m less oily than normal. Maybe it’s because this is a mineral powder, but it really helps control oil. I could wear a light covering for day-to-day wear, or I could build it and get a really nice full coverage look. I’ve tried many foundations, but I keep coming back to this.

I'm so glad they finally made this shade- the Fairly Light was just too dark, but Fair made me look even paler than I am. Definitely my new go-to!

Beautiful matte foundation!

I really enjoy this foundation. I had the original formula but as someone with quite oily skin who isn’t big on the “dewy” finish, I bought the matte formula. The color is a great match and the matte finish is nicely matte without making my skin just look dull. My only negative comment would be that the coverage isn’t as good as the original formula, so you’ll need to use more product.

I tried bare minerals powder foundation in fair 01 (matte finish) for the first time today and I absolutely loved it! Usually later on in the day I can tell that I have makeup on my feeling it on my face. I never felt that with this makeup. It felt so nice on my skin. I love it!

Not nearly enough coverage

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot get enough coverage out of this. I prefer at least medium coverage in my foundations and can't seem to get more than sheer/light from this no matter how much I try. It looks nice on my oily skin though so if you don't need a lot of coverage it may be perfect for you.

Great powder foundation and great for your skin. Blend well when applying- stays on, no need to reapply during the day.I have acne prone skin (yes even in my forty's) and this doesn't break me out. Only negative - it is tough to match the correct shade for your skin. Take your time when purchaisng! I still miss Philosophy's mineral powder foundation but bareMinerals is a close second.

I'm a little disappointed. I got the matte and it doesn't stay matte. I get oily and it seems to come off me. I don't know why this is happening. I moisturize before like I would any foundation. The color match is ok, not the best but then again I've never been able to get the right color even with help from staff.

I've been using powder foundations for a long time so i was excited to try this one. the shade matches very well. It goes on okay but my biggest issue with it is my skin is shiny and visibly oily after only an hour. I would not recommend for oily/combination skin. Also, the matte makes my skin feel very dried out.

Best Powder Foundation!

This will be my forever favorite powder foundation! I have some acne and acne scarring so, I use this overtop of the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream (shade 1.5) and it covers all of my imperfections flawlessly without giving me cake face. It’s even amazing as a powder foundation alone, if you don’t like a lot of product on your face or if you prefer a simple routine.

consistency not the same as original

Consistency was just not the same as the original. It did not build the same or look the same. It looked splotchy and wore very unevenly

So at first I wasn't a fan! I applied it with the real techniques buffing brush and noticed it wouldn't blend then right way it was kind of on top of my skin! But then I decided to try applying it with a mini flawless face brush from bare minerals and omg it made a huge difference! So if you can get the bare mineral brush or any similar brush that has the same type of bristles it should work! It blended beautifully and lasted on my skin! I also love the color of the foundation matches me...

My absolute “go to”

I am a huge advocate for this product and have gotten all of my friends and family hooked as well. There is NO comparison for the matte formula. I have used this for about 10 years now... TEN YEARS straight. I have changed every other part of my beauty routine, countless times. But never switched from this foundation. Great price for how much you get out of it too.

ok. light coverage.

I used this product for years. Like 10 full years. Just didn’t give me great coverage and then my face started to break out. If u have a great complexion then u may be able to get by with this.

I had pretty high expectations considering this was a matte formula but it did not keep me shine-free for long. However, I did enjoy the color match and how natural my skin looked. The coverage is pretty light but very much buildable without looking cakey.

Causes break out

This requires more powder for decent coverage and breaks me out badly, all over. Original Bare minerals doesn't do that.

I have very oily acne prone skin and by the end of day it looked like I had jumped into a pool of oil and I started breaking out pretty bad. I’m not sure why but yeah. Never again.

Before using this product I would wear liquid foundation everyday. I decided to try this out because I would always break out at least once a month and my facialist recommended me to stop using liquid foundation and start using mineral instead so I decided to try BareMinerals. I'm so glad I did it's light weight, build-able coverage, controls my oily skin and less breakouts! I highly recommend this.

Holy Grail!

This is my Holy Grail powder foundation. Not only does it have an SPF for my fair skin, it somehow stays comfortable and looks nice even with my oily skin. You don't need much product to cover your whole face. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a powder foundation.

I have neutral to warm skin tone and this made my face look yellow! Also spotty coverage, didn't blend well.

Tried and True

Really great product - I've been using this for years, I occasionally try something else and it makes me remember why I stick with a proven thing! My pale pale skin with red red cheeks can be hard to find the right shade for, but this light shade is pigmented enough to even out my red areas. Very matte, and it has serious staying power. It looks very natural. However, I definitely prefer the original powder foundation from BM. The application of this one can be a bit spotty if you aren't careful, and it's a tiny bit darker, at least the lightest shade is. Not for oily skin

The sales rep told me this would be great for oily skin. Not the case. By the time I finished putting on my makeup the foundation was separating and looked greasy. If you have oily skin, don't waste your money.

Flawless coverage!

This foundation gives a nice smoothing appearance and controls oil well for most of the day. I still need to use my oil blotting sheets, but that's just my skin :) Also, it looks totally natural! No cake-like appearance for your lovely faces@

Best matte coverage. No shine. Makeup is light and doesn't cause break outs. A little bit goes a long way. I've been loving this product for a year now.

Perfect powder foundation

Perfect Finish!

I haven't tried this foundation since high school, but I decided to give it another shot (years, YEARS later). I was very pleasantly surprised by how lightweight it feels on my skin. I did watch a few videos on YouTube to make sure I had the technique down, but once I did, I felt this product was easy to use with a great natural finish.

I absolutely love powder foundations because it takes time off my makeup routine. These foundations blend like a dream. I own the original foundation which provides a slight glow to the skin. It looks like real skin. This matte formula looks a little more powdery but has great coverage with very little trying. It stops oil in its tracks too! Sometimes I will put a very subtle highlight on the bridge of my nose just to keep me from looking too dead :O

ALL-TIME FAVORITE

My all-time favorite foundation for every day. It covers all imperfections but looks like you have no make-up!! And it absorbs oil from my T zone.. What else to ask for??!! You go BareMinerals!!

Not perfect for me!!

This shade turned out a lil darker for me ! I would have preferred one shade lighter definitely. Does full coverage but may cause breakouts. It's not a loose powder which i though it to be. It is powdered but oil based.

I have been using this product for years. Every time I think I'm tired of it, I go back and am reminded of how great it makes my skin look. The coverage is light/sheer but reduces any redness and lets my freckles show through. It's perfect for everyday wear and makes my skin look its best without looking like I'm wearing anything. Making the switch from the original formula was huge - I much prefer the matte to original, it really makes a big difference.

I have been using this for YEARS. I have tried so many matte powders and I keep coming back to this one. As an oily/combination skin person this matte powder foundation (with SPF!) is a must. I just put some primer and this on and I'm ready to go! The golden medium is perfect for my medium asian skin tone.

fave powder foundation!

this is my all time favorite powder foundation! i've used it for about three years & it's my go-to product! i don't go a day without wearing it. it matches my skin tone perfectly & it blends seamlessly. great starter for amateur makeup wearers or seasoned professionals. i gave it four stars though because i have very oily skin and at the end of an 8 hour day, i'm pretty shiny, but it's not terrible. i still absolutely love this product!

still oily and sad

Bought this product with high hopes from research and recommendations, it seemed sooooo great when I tested it in the store. When trying out the foundation the next day, it not only oxidized, but had no oil control, and made me seem more oily than usual. VERY spotty. And it has nothing to do with pre skin care routine or the primer/setting spray used because never have I been so oily while routinely using those products before foundation. Overall product is DEFINITELY not worth trying for...

If I had to chose 5 items in my bag...

FOREVER. This would be one of them. I swap shades from season to season, a little warmer for summer, a little cooler for winter. Good coverage without being cakey. Requires no finishing powder, though in the summer I often use some anyway to help deal with 'melting'. Great product all around. Matte

I have been using BareMinerals for quite a few years and the last time I went to Sephora the sales rep accidentally gave me matte instead of original. I didn't realize until I got home but I ended up liking it better than the original- which I normally use. So thank you for introducing me to the new product even if it was on accident.

Love this powder

My favorite powder of all time. Way better than the one that isn't matte. A little powder goes a long way so it lasts a long time. I dont use it as a foundation but as a setting powder

I don't like to wear much makeup so I was looking for a foundation that would make me look very natural and keep me matte throughout the whole day. This is exactly it! Love it.

Mostly good, some bad

There are things I really love about this foundation and a few things I dislike. First, the coverage is light to medium, which is great for everyday wear to work (but I stick to Urban Decay Naked liquid matte foundation when going out or to events). I also appreciate the sun protection, which unlike liquid sunscreens or liquid foundations with sunscreen does not have an unpleasant smell and does not make my skin break out. great coverage

I've been using the "fair" shade of the original powder since the 7th grade but didn't like the shiny look any more so I switched to this. It has amazing coverage and I love the matte finish. One complaint is that the shade "fair" for matte is still a touch dark for me and it's the very lightest.

Really great product!

Although this product is advertised as being a matte powder foundation, I find that it doesn't keep me as matte as I would like. It does have nice and buildable coverage that i enjoy a lot. If you have oily skin though, not sure how well it's goin yo keep you matte.

I love this!

This foundation has been great on my skin. It is so light sand matches very well. I use it in conjunction with my liquid foundation to keep it all in place. It delivers a smooth, matte look as promised. I've used it alone for a natural look and is great. I don't need to use a lot to get the coverage I need.

I love this product. I have been using this foundation for two years now. I was using the original version it wasn't working out for me, so I switch to the matte. It has a nice finish. I would really recommend this product.

pretty good stuff

Been testing this stuff out all summer. It works for me mostly, other than that I've tanned over summer and my color isn't a perfect match anymore. Otherwise it's amazing, it helps cover my pores which are a serious concern for me. It helps keep my oily spots in tact too. And it's lightweight as well, which is amazing and doesn't crease at all. I really recommend this product!

Something in the ingredients

years ago i used to use this all the time then i moved onto a different products. I recently decided to give it another try and I have tried numerous times to make this powder work but something in the ingredients makes my skin breakout really bad. i don't know if they changed the ingredients or if my skin just doesn't react well but I wont try this again!

Everything I wanted in a foundation

This foundation keeps my combination skin happy. My oily areas are moderately controlled and my dry, acneic areas are not exacerbated. The finish is not flat matte. It's more on the satin/demi matte side. If you prefer the full matte look you will have to set with a setting powder. I use this powder over the Complexion Rescue and blend blend blend. I've been using this for years. I love the matte option. I now use their tinted gel and a little of this on top. It's great as a more setting powder and doesn't feel thick and cakey at all.
