Waist Shaper And Everything You Need To Know About It
- August 19, 2019
In recent years, waist shaper has become one of the biggest trends. It is being worn and promoted by celebrities, influencers, and woman in general. Some say it is an amazing tool to improve your figure. And others claim that it is not so great for your health. So, let’s talk about waist shaper and everything you need to know about it.
What Is Waist Shaper?
Waist shaper (also known as a waist cincher, trainer or waspie) is basically a wide belt worn around the waist. It makes the waist visually appear smaller and also physically improves its thinness with time. Depending on the instructions, you can usually wear it anytime. It can be just a little helper when you need to wear a tight dress or you can try to make your waste smaller by wearing it daily.
Can You Lose Fat With Waist Shaper?
The answer is no. Waist trainers are mostly made of latex or other materials, that increase sweating in the area because they don’t let the air get through. So, by sweating you lose water weight, not body fat. Losing water weight can make you feel a lot tighter and fitter in the stomach area, but the moment you will stop using the waist shaper all the water will come back.
Can You Achieve A Smaller Waist With Waist Shaper?
Waist shaper, if worn daily, can eventually cinch down your waist a little bit even when you stop wearing it. Especially if it is a young individual, who is still growing and shaping. Although it is a short-term result, many still are willing to use waist shapers. BUT, there is one very dangerous problem. While you wear a waist trainer, your internal organs are being compressed. This can lead to improper functioning and digestive issues. The midsection of your body, your diaphragm, is constricted. It doesn’t allow the lungs to expand and contract. It’s also uncomfortable, restricting, and if you wear it really tight, it can even make it difficult to breathe and theoretically cause rib damage.
Can You Wear Waist Shaper While Working Out?
Theoretically, you can. Many companies even claim that it is better to work out with it. Doctors, though, are denying it and say, it is one of the worst things to do. Not only will you be unable to breathe properly, but your core musculature will not be able to develop properly. Basically, exercising produces an increased need for oxygen. It cannot be fully supplied while wearing a waist trainer. Your lungs won’t have enough room to expand.
What Results Can You Expect From Waist Shapers?
The results of waist training depend on different factors:
- For how long you wear waist trainer per day?
- How many days per week do you wear a waist trainer?
- How tight is your waist trainer?
The more time you wear it and the more tight it is, the faster you will see results. But it should not be too tight, you have to feel comfortable in it.
Hope this helped to shed more light on waist shaper and everything you need to know about it. Remember, that waist trainer gives non-permanent results. The moment you stop wearing it, your figure will be coming back to its natural state. It is up to you, whether you need that extra cinch on your waist or not. Just remember, that it is not necessarily good for your health.
