Natural Makeup For Asian Eyes

Natural makeup for Asian eyes can be a challenge for many makeup artists and individuals with these almond-shaped eyes themselves. There is usually not much lid space and eyes itself can be quite small. Well, good news – everyday natural makeup look for Asian eyes on yourself can be achieved not that hard.

Prepare The Face

Before starting the eye makeup, prepare your face. Apply the desired amount of foundation, powder. If necessary, add some contouring, highlight, and blush. Also, do not forget to brush and fill in your eyebrows, if needed.

The Natural Eye Shadow Look

Now you can move on to the eyes part. Apply some eye shadow base on the lids – very important step, since usually Asian eyes are hooded and colors tend to crease. Set the eye primer with some powder or very light matte eye shadow.

It is best to use matte brown shades for a natural look. Take a matte brown shade, that is few shades darker than your skin tone. Use fluffy eye shadow brush and apply it a bit above the crease. It is important to apply it not directly into the crease but slightly above, because with this shadow we want to create the illusion of larger lid space. It should be applied lightly and blended very well.

To create more dimension find a matte brown, that is even darker than the previous one. Apply this one more directly to the crease and blend it up together with the color above. Also, put some more in the outer corner and blend it.

Try Some Liquid Liner

This step will not work for all Asian eyes, but if your ones have at least a little bit of some visible lid space, apply some liquid eyeliner on the top of the lash line. It should be very thin. This will define and thicken the lashes. Also, it opens up the eyes even more.

Finishing The Eyes

Inner corner highlight

Last step for the eye shadows – some inner corner and brow bone highlight. Apply light champagne color in the inner corner and on the brow bone. Can be matte or also shiny.

Now – mascara time. Asian eyes tend to have very straight eyelashes, so prepare to curl them with the eyelash curler very well and only then apply mascara. You can also add a bit of it to the lower lashes, but make sure to go light with it. You don’t want to make your eyes look droopy!

Do not forget to add something on to your lips and you are done! Hope this was helpful and you managed to enhance those beautiful almond-shaped eyes!

Conclusion

Asian eyes have a very unique, exotic shape and you should enhance it. Don’t be afraid to leave your comfort zone and try to put something new in your everyday makeup routine. It can be challenging in the beginning, but with everyday improvements, you will become better and better at it.

Good luck!
